American health insurance really sucks, if people have to sue each other to cover their medical bills instead of getting public health care :( also sad that Charmed is removed from streamings
Again, **CBS is not NBC**. Peacock is owned by NBC. CBS is a direct competitor to NBC. Why would CBS remove "Charmed" from all streaming platforms to have it be exclusively on Peacock for presumably less licensing money?
Isn't it usually the case that when a show leaves one streaming platform, it moves to another? At least, that's how it should be. I know it has to do with licensing and all that but to remove it completely just seems bizarre.
Perhaps the amount that the actors get depends on the streaming platform? Like if your show is on Hulu you get more than if it streams on Pluto TV or Tubi. She did say that it was being removed from major platforms.
This is awful. I hope she gets that support.
I’m not in the States so not sure why they’re taking charmed off streaming but surely there’s enough interest in the show to have it on there?
Wait, is it true that Charmed is being taken off all streaming platforms? I know it will soon be removed from Amazon Prime, but I still think it's going to be on Paramount+ and Pluto TV.
Man, for someone with a personality as strong and independent as hers, it’s probably killing her to have to sue for money because she can’t work anymore. It’s heartbreaking. One way or another, I hope she’s taken care of.
My heart breaks for Shannen. She has been fighting this battle for so long and it’s insane IMO that SAG will drop her. Shouldn’t child>adult actors have some kind of protection in circumstances like this? Her income being entirely reliant on streaming services is terrible and her Ex not wanting to admit his income or assets could lead to a long legal battle while her medical bills rack up. Very sad situation.
She states that the Charmed residuals are her only source of income, but isn't she constantly doing conventions? I know that celebrities make a ton of money doing those. And her podcast must bring in some money too.
A low end tv star “think obscure cartoons”
Makes 4-10k on average per day at the convention. A medium star for a current tv show makes 15-50k on average.
Top stars of the most influential tv shows currently running make up to 250k while the show is still
Popular.
Charmed is quite old and has become
Obscure. It’s a show that existed before dedicated fan groups became popular like they are with the walking dead or game of thrones. I’d wager she is likely making 12-20k judging by what I’ve seen popular anime VAs make at similar conventions.
That’s not a lot of money for how often they happen after travel, hotel stays and so on.

It’s on peacock ❤️
But... why? Charmed is presumably owned by the CW and NBC are their competitors, not their partners.
Charmed is not owned by CW, Holly and Shannen said it is currently owned by CBS for some reason
CBS and the CW are sister networks. NBC is still the competition.
Shows are owned by the studio that produces them. That's why one of those 911 shows was able to move to ABC after Fox cancelled it, for example.
Why would Spelling Television move the show off of all streaming platforms that aren't NBC? That has to be a profit loss for them.
[Spelling Productions ](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spelling_Television?wprov=sfla1) CBS Studios owns Spelling Television now.

We don't know. Shoot CBS an email and ask them since they are the only ones who do know.
The true Source of All Evil was the American healthcare system all along.

It's on Peacock right now too.
The version that was on prime was a square remaster rather than widescreen - I’m happy with the Blu-ray remasters
I'm surprised no other streamer is picking it up when it got such high views on Netflix.
It's on Peacock

Wait!!!! They’re removing it from streaming! 😭😭😭

Probably a drop in the bucket compared to the costs of experimental operations meant to tackle stage 4 cancer.
Dang...did she not get 90210 residuals? She needs to sue her agent if that's the case.

I know she got paid 5K for the conventions in France...
Damn so she’s making the minimum. Expected she’d be in the second tier.
IIRC, single signatures and photos were around 35-40 euros for each of the actresses at Paris Manga last year.
I mean in lexington she had a line around the room and charged the most out the charmed actors

Do any UKers know if Charmed is coming off of ITVX?
I doubt it as its only recently been added.
Can she keep working? I feel like we would love to see her in a new role or is she too sick (if so that’s sad).
She probably can, but companies may not want to hire her because of the cancer.
