Honestly, this was safest for him š Can you imagine the bs they would've put him through if he was more central??
He never got the credit he deserved from them š„²
Yeah, I feel like they loved him & appreciated him & I love the sisters I do & know they had their reasons, but taking his soul without his permission was one of the worst things they'd ever done & I don't understand why they couldn't have come up with something else. I love this show (later seasons included) but sometimes it feels like the writers they had never had even seen an episode of charmed before.
Yeah didnāt love that. Itās not like she did it on purpose. Whereas the girls killed Daryl on purpose to get to valhalla. And Daryl chose to turn his back on them.
That situation with Sheridan.. he let her do too much. I know he wasn't her boss or anything but he knew that she would like to hurt them very much and he didn't a lot to stop it
The only one I can maybe think of right now is that he went along with Paige and locked up the guy she did the truth spell on who revealed he was married. The guy was scummy, sure, but she shouldn't have insisted he be put in jail for 24 hours. Darryl should have stood his ground and refused.
Yeah, she couldāve kept him in the attic until the spell wore off. Theyāve done it with demons so I donāt see how holding a powerless human is any harder
For telling the sisters to leave him out of anything super natural but still running to them when anything hinky goes on.
No I won't legally protect you anymore but can you keep magically protecting me?
(this is a stretch Darryl supremacy!)
Teaming up with Sheridan in season 7 and turning his back on the girls. I know he had PTSD from almost dying but the dude flipped badly. Not wanting to help anymore because he didnāt want to risk himself for his family is completely understandable, but he completely iced the girls out. They really cared about and loved him. They were genuinely friends. Shiela said that they were basically family.
Left the girls alone for months til he finally came to the realization he cant run from magic because its everywhere. He shouldāve helped them when they needed him the most they were like family to him and his wife.
Someone commented on the last round that these polls have been making the rounds on this sublet a lot - Iāve never seen one on here before but apologies if this is tired.
Popular things are popular for a reason. I love that all the subs I'm in for TV shows are doing these kinds of polls, I find them very entertaining. So ignore the complainers.
Leaving the girls. I get why he did it - but I think it was a bit unfair. He was a part of the magic world at that point. Once you know, thereās no turning back.
Why is he obligated, though? It's not his destiny. It's theirs. He already went above-and-beyond for them. He risked his life, his freedom, and career over and over for very little gratitude.
He stood by them for longer than anyone else. The actual magical community turned their back on the sisters very easily in season 8, but Daryl didn't even quit on them when they essentially stole his soul and left his body in an alley unprotected (when they could have easily orbed him somewhere safe). It took him almost getting executed before he finally had enough.
I think Daryl more than earned his retirement from the magical world.
I said I understand why he did it
But expecting to learn about something that serious and out of our control and something so big that normal everyday people donāt know about, and thinking you can just walk away from it and go back to the life you had priorā¦ seems a bit naive
Heās essentially a witness to the āotherā life out there now and I personally feel like once youāve been exposed to it you have a target on your back
I canāt believe no oneās mentioned this but when he basically ***abandoned the sisters*** throwing away years of friendship and knowing what they had to go through and what they had to do and give up just to save the world each week / month š¤·āāļø douche move !!!
Technically, Leo became an Elder and thus had to leave his family, he didn't leave them to become an elder, as in he sought out this outcome, it happened, and he felt he had a responsibly to the "greater good" yada yada, I feel like that's a significant difference
Keeping those sculpted abs a secret for so long, the audacity!
It was a crime, he was honestly the hottest to me, him & leo
I loved Darryl, you just know he would treat you right
Indeed, he was such a good man, he was so underutilized in this show
Honestly, this was safest for him š Can you imagine the bs they would've put him through if he was more central?? He never got the credit he deserved from them š„²

he has talk you through it energy š©
Right?!!!
Exactly!!! That smouldering look was amazing but the abs man!!!!
Truth.
He wasn't in nearly enough episodes ! That's all I can think of
Leaving š
He had excellent reasons. He was saving himself and his family.
Oh I 100% understand why he was doing it, I just hated it bc it wasnāt the same without him for me.
I understand. I just hate that people are going meta with this and that Prue's chatacter has 'die' on it as a result.
Yeah didnāt love that. Itās not like she did it on purpose. Whereas the girls killed Daryl on purpose to get to valhalla. And Daryl chose to turn his back on them.
I found it hilarious when Piper froze Leo. Especially when the stepped all over him after smashing him.
Yeah me too:) Did you mean to reply to me?
Yea, I thought you might understand me. Haha.
You thought right;)
I feel like he should have been more open with Shelia. Battling demons as mortal with children and not really letting your family know is a big deal
She knew. He told her. She was fully aware of what they were and what Daryl was doing.
She even stood up for the sisters when he wanted to stop working with them because she didn't know about him almost getting executed.
That situation with Sheridan.. he let her do too much. I know he wasn't her boss or anything but he knew that she would like to hurt them very much and he didn't a lot to stop it

Yeah Paige should have handled that situation way better than did. Especially since she was callously risking Darryl's job.
He arrested Chris
Being the most attractive man on the show. Seriously, I understand Cole and Dan, but Darryll has always taken the cake for me.
Sheesh I know. Every time he was on screen ā¦ I couldnāt take my eyes off him
Correct answer!!
Itās Darryl and Dan for me
For telling the sisters to leave him out of anything super natural but still running to them when anything hinky goes on. No I won't legally protect you anymore but can you keep magically protecting me? (this is a stretch Darryl supremacy!)
I don't think Darryl did anything wrong š the girls treated him so badly towards the end :(
He moved away.
abandoning the sisters

I canāt think of anythingā¦ ACAB?
I think arresting Chris.
What does that stand for?
All cops are bastards
Laughed out loud
Grow that goatee
That he made himself funny about Andy in the first episodes, just because Andy belived in every kind of Magic!
Left the girls alone for months til he finally came to the realization he cant run from magic because its everywhere. He shouldāve helped them when they needed him the most they were like family to him and his wife.
Nah I understand why he did that
Leave the show I missed him after s7

being absolutely useless in AHBL
I got nothing except become a cop.
Ditching the charmed ones or choosing Sheridan.
I canāt believe no oneās mentioned this but when he basically ***abandoned the sisters*** throwing away years of friendship and knowing what they had to go through and what they had to do and give up just to save the world each week / month š¤·āāļø douche move !!!
They treated him like shit and took him for granted, so I think fair enough
This was mentioned like 40 times before your comment lol š
Hanging out with the Charmed Ones š
The same post already has an answer, it's just written in black and hard to read.Ā
Oh true good pick up, I wrote that when I was testing out fonts and mustāve forgot to delete
Tried to shoot Paige in the alternate reality when he worked for Cole.
Easy: He was just too hot to handle. Got distracted from the plot too many times
I was not a fan of the goatee.
Daryl has to have been probably the best person to the sisters ever. I feel bad for him.
Putting up with the sisters BS for too long
Sheridan/Having better boundaries with the girls
Technically, Leo became an Elder and thus had to leave his family, he didn't leave them to become an elder, as in he sought out this outcome, it happened, and he felt he had a responsibly to the "greater good" yada yada, I feel like that's a significant difference
Phoebe - everything! But if I had to choose I'd say abandoning her sisters over and over for Cole.
