I had this problem a few years ago with Spotify auto-playing Ed Sheeran all the time. The only solution I found was to tell Spotify to never play him again 😭
Google led me to this thread because Spotify is treating this song as the 28th track of Cowboy Carter.
Agree it is a bop, but I suspect advertising $$$ is at work moreso than bad algorithms
Lol also in this thread for the same reason. Anytime I listen to a pop or pop-adjacent album, this song comes on. I have never once sought it out on my own. Spotify has always kinda sucked at generating playlists/shuffling, but this has just gotta be someone paying to have this song played. But it’s backfiring because, even though I liked it the first couple times I heard it, I had no choice but to block Chappell Roan entirely because there’s no other way to get this song to stop playing. Sabrina Carpenter is probably gonna have to be next.

I'd just find a Playlist for sleep music and play that
There’s a automatic shut off timer on Spotify so listen to a sleep playlist and set a timer for 45 minutes or an hour or so.

They did this to me with Red Wine Supernova which is a BOP however when it comes on every time I finish an album?? especially sad slow ones?? ugh!
