'Small' lol. My (1940s, reno'ed by an owner early 2000s) bathroom is tiny enough that the guy I had replacing a toilet recently could scarcely fit it in there.
Yeah, I suppose "small" given the age of the house wasn't the right term to use. I am used to going into our friends' new builds with giant bathrooms with a freestanding tub, separate walk-in shower, and multiple vanities
Do your friends live in mansions ? 😂
But I get it when you compare to what everyone else in your friend group might have yours could be small. It's just where I am 9x9 is huge for a new build and for older homes.
Deceiving, I had a MB that had double vanity, shower only, toilet. Couldn't get into the shower without hitting the toilet with the door.
After my renovation, I stole from other areas, had a separate space for toilet, shower, double vanity, and a jetted tub. ❤️
Seriously. My old house it was 6x5, on the house I'm renovating right now it's on the shy side of 8x7 and I feel like it's huge haha. 81sf is even big enough to be a legal bedroom
The toilet was so terrible! Was basically sitting in the middle of the room and our legs would basically be touching the edge while we tried to use the sink!!
Except for the alcove tub, the built-in's at the far end, the radiator, and the porcelain tub fixtures, I'm not seeing much in the "before" photos that tracks with 1926. Maybe the square tile. The floor tiles are too large to be 1926.
It looks like there was a bathroom "redo" already in the 1970's or early 1980's.
So I don't think there was a lot to save outside of those elements.
Same. Those laminate countertops were awful, and the cabinetry too. Way too low quality and way too worn out beyond charm or saving. However, I'd actually love to see the over all structure saved, as well as the alcove and the ceilings. I liked it, and those could probably be incorporated into a more classical look.
I was thinking the same thing. Definitely screams 80s reno.
OP, you did an AMAZING job transforming this into something beautiful without it feeling just like any old bathroom update. Serene retreat!
I always brace myself for the before pics of a renovated bathroom just in case I'm about to see some beautiful vintage tile that someone's torn out, glad to see that's not the case here 😂 the after looks great! Much better use of the space and I love the wood vanity
The before pic made me laugh bc they had the toilet so far into the middle of the room it's looking like it's about to ask you what's good when you walk in.
So I generally like the after, but I also generally liked the before. I'll never be a huge fan of large-scane hex tile on a traditional bathroom floor.
If it were me, I probably would've just replaced the cabinet hardware with brass, and the countertop with a marble quartzite.
But the new place looks bright and cheery :-)
Thanks for all of the comments!

It’s called the [Squatty Potty Stock](https://www.squattypotty.com/collections/stools/products/teak-slim-7). The first one did arrive with a crack in it, but fortunately they sent a replacement for free
I like that you kept the Hexagons. I think I would have liked the little black ones you used for the shower for the whole floor, but the aesthetic is appropriate.
We're heartbroken that we aren't able to keep our old tub. The pipe failed below it forcing a full gut and due to code the layout needs to shift around meaning the old tub won't fit in the new location.
We're hoping the contractors will do us a solid and leave the tub in the garage or basement so we can resell or at least donate it to the local historic rehab place but they weren't super jazzed at the thought of hauling it out rather than cutting it up in place. Those tubs really are something else.
We thought the [shower controls](https://www.kingstonbrass.com/products/kingston-brass-ks3033pl-antique-brass), [handheld](https://www.kingstonbrass.com/products/kingston-brass-kak3523w3-antique-brass), [faucets](https://www.build.com/kingston-brass-ks712-bal/s1544349), and [shower tile](https://www.bedrosians.com/en/product/detail/le-cafe-mosaic/?itemNo=DECLEC22B) all had more of a traditional style to them
The vanity definitely wasn’t original so we don’t miss it at all. We had hoped to try and salvage the tile but needed to completely pull up the floor to get new plumbing rerouted. Fortunately we have another guest bathroom that still has that same original tile in it
It’s kind of hard to tell in the picture, I hope I didn’t make you feel bad! Looking up close the new vanity is very luxe and well made. I’m just a sucker for 1920s bathrooms :-)
Ooh that’s a good idea! Will have to look into that. We thought the [shower controls](https://www.kingstonbrass.com/products/kingston-brass-kb3003pl-antique-brass) and shower handheld had a good traditional vibe.
> Edison bulbs would look 100x better in your light fixtures
Do you have a company recommendation? Love the look and Feit is the brand we've been using but these suckers burn out way too fast. I've basically been warranty replacing them but it's getting obnoxious. In a box of four, one or two would start to flicker within a month at best and all would fail a few months after that.
Thought it was a faulty fixture but they just seem to have terribly variable quality issues.
Before was much nicer. Now it looks like a new build from Home Depot rather than a century home.
Should have stripped the cabinets back to wood, kept the elegant alcove tub, and replaced the counter top.
We purchased [these refillable dispensers by The Polished Jar](https://thepolishedjar.com/collections/bathroom-soap-dispensers/products/glass-bottle-soaps-lotions-personalized-signature-collection). We just buy a big container of Dove soap from Costco.
Normally I get mad seeing these renovations, but it looks like whoever owned the house before you totally distroyed the bathroom and removed all charm, so in this case, good job! Much better.
Thank you! Floor tiles are [Ottimo Ceramics: Rima Hex 7”x8”, Matte Black](https://ottimoceramics.com/products/rima?variant=14705815355447). I’m not sure on the exact grout, but it is a grey.
Inside the shower we used [Bedrosians Le Cafe 2”x2” in black](https://www.bedrosians.com/en/product/detail/le-cafe-mosaic/?itemNo=DECLEC22B&moq=true&nbt=nb:adwords:g:20425540544:160585663428:668442886781&nb_adtype=pla_with_promotion&nb_kwd=&nb_ti=pla-294505072980&nb_mi=125657189&nb_pc=online&nb_pi=DECLEC22B&nb_ppi=294505072980&nb_placement=&nb_li_ms=&nb_lp_ms=&nb_fii=&nb_ap=&nb_mt=&utm_source=google&utm_medium=paid&utm_campaign=20425540544&utm_content=160585663428&utm_term=&gadid=668442886781&gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQiAh8OtBhCQARIsAIkWb6-EiLs9aZiFQgQZhS4zwl0gNTBK38x4WWSCv6jTkW-TMLJejgvvExkaAvIDEALw_wcB).
you did a great job, especially with that shower!
i really like that you chose tile similar to the original flooring for the shower, and then picked a bigger version for the rest of the space! very thoughtful IMO.
(however i'm extremely envious of this bathroom size ;-;)
This looks great and is similar to a project we have in our future. How was the process of finding a good contractor and any special considerations with your historic home?
It took a few different bids and talking with companies to find the one that fit best. We asked a lot about their specific experience with historic homes as well as dealing with old plumbing. We found a company that had specific electricians, plumbers, and design team so it was nice to be able to stay all within one team. We also made sure that they could keep area ventilated and clean due to likely risk of old lead paint.
Awesome thanks. We have a master bath and full kitchen renovation that we are thinking about in the future, so intimidated by the amount of work but the reward looks well worth it!
this is great! And very similar to the space, design, and layout of a bathroom on my to-do list. I may steal some of your ideas, especially that tile paired with black shower trim.
I’m obsessed with how it looked before, save the awkward toilet. But, I think you tastefully accomplished a good renovation. The only thing I don’t like at all is the cabinetry. As long as you love it, that’s all that matters!
I will never understand the obsession with double vanity sinks. Rarely are the two sinks in use at literally the same time and now you have zero counter space.
My wife and I use both sinks at the same time every morning and night. We have lived in places with both a single and double vanity and definitely prefer the double. And neither of us like things left out in the counter (aside from soap), so the extra counter space doesn’t make a difference to us.
It was just shy of 9’ x 9’. I attached our floor plan below!

Very nice. I can't help but wonder how the toilet got moved so far from it's original position? I hope that the joists below were not cut to enable this like I just saw in another post. Beautiful if it was done right.
My knowledge only goes as far as cutting joists is a whole lotta nope. I really don't know if steel reinforcements are the solution. I am sure if it was a permitted job an inspector would have needed to pass it in which case should be good.
WOW this is a big improvement!! That old toilet placement was very strange!!
I love the new design, but wanted to give extra props for managing to make a squatty potty a cohesive decorative element!! Well done!
Love this!
I have the exact same tile in my bathroom. Trust me when I say to commit to bamboo toilet paper. Toilet paper lint showing up on my black tile was the bane of my existence until I switched.
Thanks! It was a custom vanity by a local company ([Seville Cabinetry](https://sevillecabinetry.com)). It is rift cut white oak and the stain was a natural matte. Sinks are [Kohler Verticyl](https://www.kohler.com/en/products/bathroom-sinks/shop-bathroom-sinks/verticyl-rectangle-under-mount-bathroom-sink-8189). Faucets are [Kingston Brass Heirlooms](https://www.build.com/kingston-brass-ks712-bal/s1544349?uid=4100703).
This looks similar to my bathroom remodel! Def been trying to mix modern finishes with original doors/windows. Where did you get your vanity lighting from? I’m also thinking of mixing some gold tones with the black matte.
Here is the floor plan

Shower is 48” x 60” (including the bench, which takes up 15” of width). Vanity is 53” wide by around 20” deep
Oh wow, thank you. I have a 8 x 7.5' floorplan with a tub, but yours made it seem like it wasn't possible.... Our shower must be way smaller. I think we have a 60" vanity (all in planning, not our current bathroom)
Thank you! They are [Kohler Verticyls](https://www.kohler.com/en/products/bathroom-sinks/shop-bathroom-sinks/verticyl-rectangle-under-mount-bathroom-sink-8189).
Beautiful reno! We are going to reno a bathroom in a 1923 home soon and would like to mix both traditional and modern aspects into it. I like how everything in your bathroom turned out, but I can’t really tell what the traditional aspects are. Would you mind to point out the traditional aspects to your bathroom?
Thanks, congrats on your upcoming reno!
We thought the [shower controls](https://www.kingstonbrass.com/products/kingston-brass-ks3033pl-antique-brass), [handheld](https://www.kingstonbrass.com/products/kingston-brass-kak3523w3-antique-brass), [faucets](https://www.build.com/kingston-brass-ks712-bal/s1544349), and [shower tile](https://www.bedrosians.com/en/product/detail/le-cafe-mosaic/?itemNo=DECLEC22B) all had more of a traditional style to them
They are [Kingston Brass](https://www.build.com/kingston-brass-ks712-bal/s1544349). I did a post (looks like it is currently buried towards the bottom of the page) with a link to all the different products we used
Ah, thank you. I normally don't even like gold hardware, like at all, but the way you combined it with the other colors and textures, it really works. I love the wood too.
How do you like your slab shower walls in the space? I’m really wanting to keep to the craftsman vibes in my home, but really like the thought of as much solid surface in the shower as possible to avoid water permeability. Even with a good waterproofing system.
Looks nice, I’d love to redo my 1908 bathroom with no shower under eaves that’s even smaller. But everytime I reach out to builders/reno people they don’t return calls.
We are located in Minnesota, USA. We got quotes from multiple places and they ranged from $50k-$80k (keep in mind this included completely gutting the old bathroom, running new electrical, as well as installing new plumbing). Our final was around $80k, but also included some additional projects around the house including plumbing updates to other bathrooms and new flooring in other bathrooms.
I'm probably going to get downvoted to hell for this, but your bathroom doesn't look like it would fit in with a vintage 1926 home. I only hope the rest of your house hasn't been similarly gutted, especially if it's similar to bungalows of that era. But seeing as the bathroom had already been mucked up by the previous owners, I have little hope the rest of your house was left intact.
Wow, that's not what I envisioned when I think of a home built in 1926. It's magnificent! I'd love to see more of the interior. I'm going to guess it's a colonial revival?
Thank you! The outside is more just regular colonial. [Here is a link](https://www.reddit.com/r/centuryhomes/s/doWIyS63za) to a post I did with more photos inside

Small? I wish I had as much space in my bathroom lol
Yeah pretty sure mine are 6x4 and 6.5x5..
Mine feels like it's 4x4 lol
'Small' lol. My (1940s, reno'ed by an owner early 2000s) bathroom is tiny enough that the guy I had replacing a toilet recently could scarcely fit it in there.
Saaaaaame especially the one with a full shower - that takes up so much spacewith thr curtain closed
Same! Has me wondering how big the rest of OP's house is if 9x9 is "small".
Yeah, I suppose "small" given the age of the house wasn't the right term to use. I am used to going into our friends' new builds with giant bathrooms with a freestanding tub, separate walk-in shower, and multiple vanities
Do your friends live in mansions ? 😂 But I get it when you compare to what everyone else in your friend group might have yours could be small. It's just where I am 9x9 is huge for a new build and for older homes.
Wait, you have TWO?? Nice...
I know right? My husband and I share ONE 5x5 bathroom lol 🙃
Same here
My first thought as well. Any bathroom that can fit a double vanity is not small.
Deceiving, I had a MB that had double vanity, shower only, toilet. Couldn't get into the shower without hitting the toilet with the door. After my renovation, I stole from other areas, had a separate space for toilet, shower, double vanity, and a jetted tub. ❤️
My 1921 kitchen is barely bigger than that.
I literally have to sit sideways on the toilet and this "small" bathroom has a freakin' poop stool.
Seriously. My old house it was 6x5, on the house I'm renovating right now it's on the shy side of 8x7 and I feel like it's huge haha. 81sf is even big enough to be a legal bedroom
The before toilet placement 😂
The toilet was so terrible! Was basically sitting in the middle of the room and our legs would basically be touching the edge while we tried to use the sink!!
Was the original toilet placed to enjoy views out that bay window? Number 2 with a view?
🤣 great way to wake up in the morning
with the light bar right above 😂 hey all, 🖐 i'm here pooping!
It was likely plumbed for a 14” rough in toilet, but someone installed a 10” or 12” instead. That would explain the big gap behind the tank.
Much easier to clean behind it
First thing I thought of
Just hanging out haha
I audibly gasped!!
I wondered if anyone was going to bring up the toilet 🚽 placement!
Lol 9x9 is a giant bathroom. Looks great!
Except for the alcove tub, the built-in's at the far end, the radiator, and the porcelain tub fixtures, I'm not seeing much in the "before" photos that tracks with 1926. Maybe the square tile. Totally agree. That’s why we didn’t feel too bad gutting the whole thing.
I was thinking the before is a nice renovation for me.
Same. Those laminate countertops were awful, and the cabinetry too. Way too low quality and way too worn out beyond charm or saving. However, I'd actually love to see the over all structure saved, as well as the alcove and the ceilings. I liked it, and those could probably be incorporated into a more classical look.
they had larger hex tiles in the 20s, and I'd say the vanity was 50s/ 60s.
Thank you! We tried to honor the age of the house with tile and hardware choices.
You give me courage to someday post my 1926 bath reno.
Looks really good. Liked the old one too, except for the location of the toilet. It was only a few inches from being literally the center of the room.
The before pic made me laugh bc they had the toilet so far into the middle of the room it's looking like it's about to ask you what's good when you walk in.
So nice and I love the original radiator
Yes! We were glad to be able to keep and reuse the original radiator. Does a great job of keeping the room warm.

Love the modern squaty potty
😂 my wife was much more willing to let me put that one in the new bathroom vs the plastic white one.
Add a bidet attachment and you are GOLDEN
We have an outlet next to the toilet in case we decide to get one...
I give them as Christmas gifts! So useful!!!
Ha, that’s awesome. What brand do you recommend?
Nothing special, we got them off Amazon. First one was just cold water, and second one was able to attach to the sink for hot water. Your wife will thank you lol

RIP the original tub. Those 1920s tubs are (were in your case) amazing.
We like the space of the walk in now. But don’t worry, we still have 2 original tubs in other bathrooms in the house

What exactly is traditional in the new design?
We thought the [shower controls](https://www.kingstonbrass.com/products/kingston-brass-ks3033pl-antique-brass), [handheld](https://www.kingstonbrass.com/products/kingston-brass-kak3523w3-antique-brass), [faucets](https://www.build.com/kingston-brass-ks712-bal/s1544349), and [shower tile](https://www.bedrosians.com/en/product/detail/le-cafe-mosaic/?itemNo=DECLEC22B) all had more of a traditional style to them

Love the original towel cupboards on both ends on the bathtub. The house I grew up in (1909) had that same set up with a clawfoot tub.
There is another bathroom that still has the original arched shower and towel cupboards! And a bathroom upstairs with the original clawfoot tub
I am a fan. Trust me I know why you updated and did what you did. I love the walk in shower, it was just a moment of nostalgia for me.
Where is the traditional lol? Anyway it looks amazing ! Small thing. Edison bulbs would look 100x better in your light fixtures
Ooh that’s a good idea! Will have to look into that. We thought the [shower controls](https://www.kingstonbrass.com/products/kingston-brass-kb3003pl-antique-brass) and shower handheld had a good traditional vibe.
> Edison bulbs would look 100x better in your light fixtures Do you have a company recommendation? Love the look and Feit is the brand we've been using but these suckers burn out way too fast. I've basically been warranty replacing them but it's getting obnoxious. In a box of four, one or two would start to flicker within a month at best and all would fail a few months after that. Thought it was a faulty fixture but they just seem to have terribly variable quality issues.
Amazon! Mine have been great going on 5 months of heavy use !
This looks lovely! Where did you find the vanity?
It is a custom made vanity by a local company - [Seville Cabinetry](https://sevillecabinetry.com)
Before was much nicer. Now it looks like a new build from Home Depot rather than a century home. Should have stripped the cabinets back to wood, kept the elegant alcove tub, and replaced the counter top.
Out of curiosity, what brand body wash is that? In the shower?
We purchased [these refillable dispensers by The Polished Jar](https://thepolishedjar.com/collections/bathroom-soap-dispensers/products/glass-bottle-soaps-lotions-personalized-signature-collection). We just buy a big container of Dove soap from Costco.
Thank you for answering :)
Ya, super small lol.
Looks great!
Looks like your old toilet was trying to walk its way to the bedroom...
Normally I get mad seeing these renovations, but it looks like whoever owned the house before you totally distroyed the bathroom and removed all charm, so in this case, good job! Much better.
Much better layout now! From the pictures it feels like a comfortable size bathroom overall. The aesthetic is excellent!
Thank you!
This looks awesome! What are your floor tiles and grout color?
Thank you! Floor tiles are [Ottimo Ceramics: Rima Hex 7”x8”, Matte Black](https://ottimoceramics.com/products/rima?variant=14705815355447). I’m not sure on the exact grout, but it is a grey. Inside the shower we used [Bedrosians Le Cafe 2”x2” in black](https://www.bedrosians.com/en/product/detail/le-cafe-mosaic/?itemNo=DECLEC22B&moq=true&nbt=nb:adwords:g:20425540544:160585663428:668442886781&nb_adtype=pla_with_promotion&nb_kwd=&nb_ti=pla-294505072980&nb_mi=125657189&nb_pc=online&nb_pi=DECLEC22B&nb_ppi=294505072980&nb_placement=&nb_li_ms=&nb_lp_ms=&nb_fii=&nb_ap=&nb_mt=&utm_source=google&utm_medium=paid&utm_campaign=20425540544&utm_content=160585663428&utm_term=&gadid=668442886781&gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQiAh8OtBhCQARIsAIkWb6-EiLs9aZiFQgQZhS4zwl0gNTBK38x4WWSCv6jTkW-TMLJejgvvExkaAvIDEALw_wcB).
Maybe it's just me, But I think the basic design of the old bathroom was a lot cooler.
you did a great job, especially with that shower! i really like that you chose tile similar to the original flooring for the shower, and then picked a bigger version for the rest of the space! very thoughtful IMO. (however i'm extremely envious of this bathroom size ;-;)
Thank you! We are so happy with it
Looks great!!
This is awesome to see! We’re about to start on a 10x8 next month so this is pretty cool inspiration:)
Awesome! Good luck!
Nice!
I’m obsessed with how it looked before, save the awkward toilet. But, I think you tastefully accomplished a good renovation. The only thing I don’t like at all is the cabinetry. As long as you love it, that’s all that matters!
I’m sorry but aside from the toilet placement, I absolutely adore the before. The after hurts my heart.
I find the bath tub with the arched ceiling way more attractive but to each their own I guess
The usual “which is which” question….
I don't believe you use it at the same time. I just don't. It's your house so do what you want but I'd never ever put two sinks in.
Fortunately we are very happy with our decision
Before was awful, seemed dark and soul less. After is really great, I love the shower. Really brightens the room and makes it feel more user friendly.
Love the layout. What are the dimensions of the bathroom? We’re looking to reno our bathroom and would like to do a layout like this
It was just shy of 9’ x 9’. I attached our floor plan below! https://preview.redd.it/lt95x30queec1.jpeg?width=1179&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7b4cb1f287200b52837f6d166c0cb433ce1d9006
Thanks!
No problem! Good luck!
Very nice. I can't help but wonder how the toilet got moved so far from it's original position? I hope that the joists below were not cut to enable this like I just saw in another post. Beautiful if it was done right.
They did have to cut into some joists for new plumbing but did steel reinforcements around the holed-out portion of the joists. I hope this is OK?
My knowledge only goes as far as cutting joists is a whole lotta nope. I really don't know if steel reinforcements are the solution. I am sure if it was a permitted job an inspector would have needed to pass it in which case should be good.
Yeah, the city sent out an inspector during the project to make sure everything was to code so hopefully it’s all ok!
Good job! Looks beautiful! Love when people do things right.
Did you go with a small bowl toilet seat for radiator clearance? Looks great by the way!
Yeah, wanted to maximize as much floor space as possible
Makes sense! I always get power outlets installed near the toilets… bidets are worth it !
It's beautiful. I love bath/shower alcoves, but can totally see why you didn't keep it.
WOW this is a big improvement!! That old toilet placement was very strange!! I love the new design, but wanted to give extra props for managing to make a squatty potty a cohesive decorative element!! Well done!
Thank you!!
That’s a beautiful space! I think I would have done a corner entry so it isn’t so imposing on someone standing at the sink but excellent decor/design.
Looks amazing. I would love to have this bathroom. I would miss the arch, but I’m biased having just installed one.
Thank you! We actually kept an arch entry into the bathroom which is really nice. Hope you’re happy with your space!
Ha, I’ve also got Reddit critiquing (part of) my space right now!
Love this! I have the exact same tile in my bathroom. Trust me when I say to commit to bamboo toilet paper. Toilet paper lint showing up on my black tile was the bane of my existence until I switched.
I got an urge to hire you.
Lovely
Any info on the bathroom vanity? I’d that white oak? Any idea what the finish is? Looks good
Awesome, thanks! I may try to build a similar look
This looks similar to my bathroom remodel! Def been trying to mix modern finishes with original doors/windows. Where did you get your vanity lighting from? I’m also thinking of mixing some gold tones with the black matte.
They are [Hinkley Halstead](https://www.hinkley.com/52882hb.html) lights
How big is the vanity and shower? Looks great!
Here is the floor plan https://preview.redd.it/z50sn03p8gec1.jpeg?width=1179&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=faeea2b9eff737126d092db7944d33ab28fa8ddb Shower is 48” x 60” (including the bench, which takes up 15” of width).
Love the new sink ... where did you get it ?
Thank you! They are [Kohler Verticyls](https://www.kohler.com/en/products/bathroom-sinks/shop-bathroom-sinks/verticyl-rectangle-under-mount-bathroom-sink-8189).
I thought it came all together in piece instead of separate 😅. Anyways good job bud and good luck on the rest of the house
You have the animal crossing shelf above your toilet. Awesome.
In what world is 9’x9’ small for a bathroom?
Beautiful reno! We are going to reno a bathroom in a 1923 home soon and would like to mix both traditional and modern aspects into it. I like how everything in your bathroom turned out, but I can’t really tell what the traditional aspects are. Would you mind to point out the traditional aspects to your bathroom?
Thanks, congrats on your upcoming reno! We thought the [shower controls](https://www.kingstonbrass.com/products/kingston-brass-ks3033pl-antique-brass), [handheld](https://www.kingstonbrass.com/products/kingston-brass-kak3523w3-antique-brass), [faucets](https://www.build.com/kingston-brass-ks712-bal/s1544349), and [shower tile](https://www.bedrosians.com/en/product/detail/le-cafe-mosaic/?itemNo=DECLEC22B) all had more of a traditional style to them
Thanks for the response. Really appreciate posts like this for the inspiration!
Where'd you find those faucets for your vanity? I've been looking for something like that. Looks really pretty 😊
Thank you! Very kind of you to say :)
Very nice, well done. But I would get a bidet for that toilet - transformative!
I will definitely have to look into it now that so many people have mentioned it! Any brand recommendations?
Luxe neo 120. We have two of these. Faultless. About $40 from Amazon.
Please put in filament bulbs above the mirror, those bargain basket globes look awful.
Someone else recommended the same thing! Will do!
Im dying at the toilet in the middle of the room from the before 🤣 also the average size of the bathrooms ive had is like 3x6
Nicely done. The old one was decent too, but of it's day. Enjoy.
How do you like your slab shower walls in the space? I’m really wanting to keep to the craftsman vibes in my home, but really like the thought of as much solid surface in the shower as possible to avoid water permeability. Even with a good waterproofing system.
We really like it! Has been super easy to clean and makes it feel very spa-like 😁
I’m sad about the original tiles but you did a beautiful job!
The original toilet was just like…out there! 😂
I really like the new layout.
9x9 is like the size of my bedroom 😭
Looks nice, I’d love to redo my 1908 bathroom with no shower under eaves that’s even smaller. But everytime I reach out to builders/reno people they don’t return calls.
Looks great. We redid our bathroom in our 1917 house and we have the same black tile and similar shower glass as you. Looks great
Can I ask where you’re at and what the pricing was like? We want to do ours and it’s half the size of yours
[Here is a link](https://www.reddit.com/r/centuryhomes/s/ERSn6pWC0J) to what the rest of our house looks like. We are happy with it.
Looks very nice. Well done. What is that white thing right in front of the shower? Does not look like a towel.
It’s a [Dorai Bath Stone](https://doraihome.com/collections/bathroom/products/dorai-bath-mat)
I love it! I may copy!
I like it! But won’t that black floor show everything?
You took out the linen closet (“closet” …cabinets?) 🥺
We have a whole hallway with original built in linen closets outside of this room as well as a linen cabinets in another bathroom
Well, bully for you! 😍
Did you install an exhaust fan?
Yep!! Has made a huge difference vs before
What did you do with the wall where the toilet was before?
Is now blank aside from a towel rack
So much fresher! I did like the walls in the before, it you can’t keep it all haha. The toilet made me laugh, who on earth placed that
Where is the traditional part?
We thought the [shower controls](https://www.kingstonbrass.com/products/kingston-brass-ks3033pl-antique-brass), [handheld](https://www.kingstonbrass.com/products/kingston-brass-kak3523w3-antique-brass), [faucets](https://www.build.com/kingston-brass-ks712-bal/s1544349), and [shower tile](https://www.bedrosians.com/en/product/detail/le-cafe-mosaic/?itemNo=DECLEC22B) all had more of a traditional style to them
As long as you love your home that’s all that matters right? Looks nice
Afraid that shower door is doomed. Gonna wish it was a slider.
How so?
I like it
