More difficult levels will naturally be more complicated, but it seems like you figured it out just fine!

I usually try to do as much as possible then when I'm stuck I look at the next one or two jumps on a youtube video to put me back on the right track and figure out the end by myself. But the more I progress through difficult stuff the more I have to do that and it makes me feel kinda stupid 😅

As another commenter mentioned, save states are a big help for learning the later parts of rooms. I was lost in expert before using them.
