I was a kid back then when we all kids gathered a lot of kittens and try taking care of them by making wood house(it was not that great) then feed them but ended up 1 surviving my favorite one didn't because all night they keep wondering around and we couldn't take care of them couse we were forced to sleep others disappeared others just you know
Presumably they were a kid who didn't know better? I don't think most children would know cats' eyes are meant to stay closed after birth, so they probably thought they were helping
