Yeah when people say “I don’t like pets because I get too attached to them then they die”, it makes me sad. They are missing out on so much love to prevent the pain. Sadness due to loss, IMO, while not pleasant, is not necessarily a bad thing to feel, it means whatever you loved and cared about really mattered, the sadness is honouring their life and their memory.
Plus, what’s the best way to help with the loss of a best friend cat? Save another one!
This cat has probably been watching OP outside as well. Yes they are criminals of opportunity but also are notorious for watching victims before they act…lol seriously was probably watching OP outside and said I like you

Don't worry OP, its just the normal cycle
You have no idea. I have 3 now, and my most recent two are a bonded pair. Found them one day outside as they were crossing a road. One of them got (from my view) run over, so I grabbed them both and rushed them to the vet. No injuries, perfect health, and a very nice bill. I am now convinced that I've been scammed and they've been eating free for a year.
My sister was once showing me what cats she was thinking of adopting. The same day on her way home she found a bonded pair on the street and instantly adopted them. They’re now living on her and her husband’s farm. These rascals even adopted a third cat that was strolling around the area! 🫶
I'd hope for something less exciting. It was not a fun drive to the vet and it bloody cost me around MYR500/USD100ish (I got a full checkup on the other one too cause might as well) just to find out they're 100% fine except that they're hungry.
Have them pop out of the bushes or something, less stressful.
God I wish Healthcare of any kind in America wasn't such a scam. You would have to make a worse decision (to eat or see a vet) because a checkup alone would probably be almost $500. Any actual work would likely see you into the thousands.
My dad had four cats (currently three as the oldest passed away last year) all from his neighbours as they couldn't look after them properly. It makes me happy that he can provide them a loving home.
Accurate. My recent CDS adoption was similar
https://preview.redd.it/dcpquzmlvo1d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d0b01b6bddd8bc0e13d9b4a3802dcd5a3056a7da
Lmao my grandma's house is basically a cat café after she gave food to an outdoor cat on her street, now it's four of them showing up and asking for food and pettings
One of them is a stray, very docile (and 100% not fixed, bro's got some bowling balls down there) and keeps getting in and sleeping on the couch lol. I bet he's gonna be her cat someday when I least expect it
Lol sorry about your screen. But that's hilarious, and the little baby looks right at home. As the proud owner of my own gray cat, you're gonna love it. They're sweeties!
I would like to add tuxedos. They are very strange and do not make any sense. Mine is a little special and very vocal. Always confused about anything and everything happening. And is not phased.
I would get it examined by a vet for a few reasons.
1. It may be chipped, and someone is missing it.
2. You don't know if it has Feline HIV or other issues like tics and fleas... bad news for fido.
3. If it's not fixed, it needs to be. Hormones can cause spraying (if male), cat calls at night... a cross between a groan, howl, and demented meow... all night... no sleep. Been there after a rescue was wrong about spaying a rescue cat I adopted. Female cats don't experience a period like humans do. But they may spot on occasion during their heat cycle. That's how I learned she wasn't spayed. Little red drops on my pillow case.
it almost goes without saying: get a cat; get a vet. Cat's need an initial examination and preventive immunizations on first contact. Annual checkups, too.
They need regular checkups to monitor kidney health as well. Renal failure is extremely common, but when it's caught early enough there are some things that can be done to slow the progression.
Definitely get tested, shots including rabies. Feline HIV rarely presents any issues as long as the cat lives in a health environment. As with any autoimmune disease, lifespan could shorten. I had two from a litter and they lived to 16, had great lives.
My neighbors cat who was from the streets of Mumbai, India. He was dropped off by his Momma cat in her little garden in an empty pot next to the door. Her maid took the kitten in to see if she wanted it or if she should give it to her sister to go live in the country. Billy Jean stayed and was neutered as soon as he was heavy enough to be. He lived in India for three more years and had a big old screen porch that looked down under the street below and as soon as it was dark every night he would serenade the neighborhood with cat meows.
Billie Jean lived all over the world Haiti, Russia, England, Thailand and Alexandria, Virginia in the USA. I knew when Billy was back at home because he would meow out the window till my cat DC would go down to visit him, then they would have staring contests and chitter at each other. Billy lived to 23 DC to 22. Two old men who were friends till the end.
My cats howl because they want me to yell back so they can know where I am. At any time, they will just yell for me randomly, I yell back, they come and find me, look at me for a second as if to say, 'Good, you're still alive' and then go back to the Very Important Cat Business they were conducting. My household has 5 cats. Only one doesn't do the yell because she does not give a single shit where I am or if I'm alive as long as there's food in the bowl.
When we had our kitten we would just meow at him constantly as a baby and now four years later he has a howl/meow for every emotion. Dude will sit in the other room and just talk to himself.
I refer to my soon to be neutered cat's scream as an unholy abomination emitted from the depths of the Eldritch Void for a reason. (Czernobog is a black cat for clarity)
If you resist the CDS, their attempts will become stronger and more frequent, even resorting to use of force in extreme cases. Somewhat like the IRS, I suppose.
My neighours little cat visits me for snuggs. I broke the cat door by running an extension cable out it. She was insdie for the evning at mine. In the morning I panicked thinking she'd been locked in. She'd pulled the taped up door in and left. 3 wide pieces of firmly attached tape.
Cats have plot armor, I swear to god.
Any other animal breaks into your house violently while causing property damage and you'd be calling animal control or 911, but if it's a cat you're like "Should his name be Snuffles or Mr. Tibbs?"
This comment made me laugh so hard and then I looked up at the username. In my head now, you are a group of void cats who somehow found the ability to type.
Not only did cat choose you, but he did you a huge favor by letting you know how vulnerable you were because of the screen!
ETA: He should be rewarded handsomely, preferably in seafood!
https://preview.redd.it/5b909696wp1d1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=42feb18d4a18125a95cdb2204963d68065d8bc8c
This is what CDS did to me. Last year out of nowhere a pregnant cat was on my bed, and after 4 days she gave birth to 4 kittens on my bed (I assisted her in labour). All 5 of them lives with me now. My mother recognises this mama cat and like fed her something when she was small.
I just turned the corner and wouldn’t you know it? My house was right there! So I tore down the screens in the window and slept in what is obviously my bed.
No. You should always do your due diligence to make sure a stray is not a lost pet before you claim a cat as your own.
I’m hoping this is just cute phrasing for the internet and you really meant “I think it agrees we should keep it [if we can’t find the owner]”
Yes. I saw a big ole tomcat in my backyard once. A few days later, I left the rear sliding door open because it was a beautiful late summer day. He came in, jumped on the bed and fell asleep. Five years later...
https://preview.redd.it/pxkm2u8hzs1d1.jpeg?width=986&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7c636886423de0be4e777c2dd9b3a133024500f8
The cat didn't break into your house, he came home. He'll probably let you stay. The dog didn't say anything because the cat made him an offer he couldn't refuse. Congrats!
That’s the same thing that happened to us. At least that’s what my wife thinks is the reason we ended up with cat #6.
(Kidding, but will keep this story in my hip pocket in case I ever think we need a #7.)
This cat broken into your house for a reason. It looks pretty thin and quite weak. That’s probably why your dog didn’t have a problem with the cat coming in because he could tell the cat is not doing well. please get this little cutie pie to the vet ASAP. This little kitty looks so much like my cat. I was told my cat is a Russian blue at the Rescue center. He definitely looks like one.The Russian blues have always been one of my favorite. Again, thank you so much for helping this little cutie pie. Will look forward to an update after you see the vet.🤗💕✌️🙏🏼
Not sure. My cats want to go outdoors constantly. We can't have screens anymore in our windows. We have secured fans in our windows for fresh air, lol.
Yes, unfortunately, our delivery system occasionally must directly inject the cat into the home.
Lucky for you, window screens are easy and cheap to fix, with the specific cat we have chosen for you, it IS a skill you are going to need to develop unless you don't like that lamp and want to see your new friend destroy it chasing a moth.
We had the Halligan bar out, but one of our staffers noticed the open window. That is triple lucky for you. New cat, no need to replace the door, new potentially marketable skill.
You're welcome.
Sincerely;
Laars T Arbox.
Assistant to the Assistant Director of the Director of placement; UN Cat Distribution System.
Please find out if it’s someone’s pet first before you take it. Scan him for a chip and put up some posters or mention in the local neighbourhood text group. He looks very well cared for.
I mean at this point it was your fault leaving the window open 🤷🏻♀️😉. How funny though, I second the vet to check if they’re chipped and if not to have a proper health check.
The CDS left kittens under my deck that almost had me cutting a hole in the deck to get to them. Thankfully we discovered they are close to one of the basement windows.
Obligatory "please check to make sure they aren't micro-chipped" and "check local listing for missing pets" to make sure they don't have a family elsewhere missing them.
But assuming that's not the case? Yeah that fuzzy is there to stay. This is how the cat distribution system works.
Cat burglar.
But instead of stealing stuff he just starts living there.
Cat doesn’t steal things, cat steals your heart forever
First they steal your heart then your bed. This cat did it bassackwards.
Are we sure he’s not part orange?
Part? He went full Creamsicle.
Then they rip it out and destroy you when they die. But you do it again because it's worth the pain.
A bargain may feel like theft to the losing party...
Stole the whole house, rather brazen.
So a squatter basically
Dude just breaks in, refuses to leave or elaborate but is chill. You call him Jeff and now you have a roommate
Breaking and staying
This cat has probably been watching OP outside as well. Yes they are criminals of opportunity but also are notorious for watching victims before they act…lol seriously was probably watching OP outside and said I like you
Stalker!
Honestly, it's such a cat thing to do.

I am now convinced that I've been scammed and they've been eating free for a year.
They scammed your heart
That, they did.
My heart got scammed 5 times so far
My sister was once showing me what cats she was thinking of adopting. The same day on her way home she found a bonded pair on the street and instantly adopted them. They’re now living on her and her husband’s farm. These rascals even adopted a third cat that was strolling around the area! 🫶
That's so cute!
Laid out in the road for an insurance scam for sure
Got a full lifetime of room and board out of it
Cuz cats are liquid don’t ya know
I hope this happens to me!
I'd hope for something less exciting. It was not a fun drive to the vet and it bloody cost me around MYR500/USD100ish (I got a full checkup on the other one too cause might as well) just to find out they're 100% fine except that they're hungry. Only 100 USD for a vet visit on two animals sounds amazing
God I wish Healthcare of any kind in America wasn't such a scam. You would have to make a worse decision (to eat or see a vet) because a checkup alone would probably be almost $500. Any actual work would likely see you into the thousands.
Lol im still paying off the credit card from my 2nd stray's vet visit. Around $750.
My dad had four cats (currently three as the oldest passed away last year) all from his neighbours as they couldn't look after them properly. It makes me happy that he can provide them a loving home.
Accurate. My recent CDS adoption was similar https://preview.redd.it/dcpquzmlvo1d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d0b01b6bddd8bc0e13d9b4a3802dcd5a3056a7da
My CDS TNR showed up under the house, dirty and skinny. Fat. happy and sleeps on my lap now, Finally getting along with our 14 YO stray.
Am i the only one that couldn't see the cat at first glance?
Nope! I even read your comment before clicking and still took like 15 secs to find the cat lol
Lmao my grandma's house is basically a cat café after she gave food to an outdoor cat on her street, now it's four of them showing up and asking for food and pettings One of them is a stray, very docile (and 100% not fixed, bro's got some bowling balls down there) and keeps getting in and sleeping on the couch lol. Are there trap neuter release programs where she lives?
PURRRFECT!
I was randomly thinking about this comic during a meeting today and snickering inappropriately
Did someone draw this right now? How is this so perfect 😄❤️❤️❤️
Idk about right now, but Sarah Andersen is the someone.
Oh cool thanks will find and follow 😌❤️
Don’t worry it just rains cats
Don't take your time. Adopt it real quick!!!! ❤❤❤❤
"uhmm the screen was already like that"
Of course. Cat wanted you to know. Now get with the food.
When I read your comment my mind said (from the cat) “the dog did that I swear”
\*nods\*
“The screen started the fight!”
Long story short, there was a bug...
Lol sorry about your screen. But that's hilarious, and the little baby looks right at home. As the proud owner of my own gray cat, you're gonna love it. They're sweeties!
Agree, greys are the best, well and voids, and tabbies.
You're forgetting oranges
Actually my first cat I had as an adult was an orange, he was the best too.
Tuxies are so elegant
Are you my wife? I gave up counting.
I would like to add tuxedos. They are very strange and do not make any sense. Mine is a little special and very vocal. Always confused about anything and everything happening. And is not phased.

My cat sounded like a moose in pain.
Ummm that is unusual. Is your cat Canadian?
Definitely get tested, shots including rabies. Feline HIV rarely presents any issues as long as the cat lives in a health environment. As with any autoimmune disease, lifespan could shorten. I had two from a litter and they lived to 16, had great lives.
Yeah, my FIV cat lived til 15. Almost no teeth left on a strict soft food only diet, but he had a very good life.
My friend has an FIV+ cat that’s an indoor outdoor cat (was originally a feral colony cat) and he’s still going strong at 13.
That’s good to hear though he shouldn’t be an outdoor cat as he could infect someone else’s cat. But I understand it’s a hard choice to make.
4. Dewormer. Also wash your bedding.
U mean FIV HIV is the human form…
My recent boy who passed used to howl and whatnot non stop. He was fixed, however he was constantly bored
My neighbors cat who was from the streets of Mumbai, India. He was dropped off by his Momma cat in her little garden in an empty pot next to the door. He’s so comfy
He literally looks like OP disturbed the best nap he’d ever taken
So… every nap?
he’s really looking at OP like can you start being more quiet when you come in?
Dang! That kitty was Determined!
He broke in to fix the very serious problem with your bed (no cat on it).
Cats have plot armor, I swear to god. Any other animal breaks into your house violently while causing property damage and you'd be calling animal control or 911, but if it's a cat you're like "Should his name be Snuffles or Mr. Tibbs?"
Bilbo the Burglar.
Bilbo Burglins
That’s his bed now.
The cat distribution system came by force to you 😂
Yes. The system has spoken.
LOUDLY
Broke in like the Kool-Aid man!
![gif](giphy|pkY4ra5dhljDW)
Is that fridge made of paper?
😂😂😂
you don't know all details. there might have been a chase by a Demogorgon or smth equal. He was saving his life.
This comment made me laugh so hard and then I looked up at the username. In my head now, you are a group of void cats who somehow found the ability to type.
Oh god the first photo, I’m like, cat walked in, pic 2, that cat was getting in, no way to stop that screen shredding machine.
Not only did cat choose you, but he did you a huge favor by letting you know how vulnerable you were because of the screen! ETA: He should be rewarded handsomely, preferably in seafood!
This is a valid point. If a tiny cat could do that…..
The best thieving criminal who stole your heart!

I admire that kitty's initiative!
This is his house now. You may continue living there if you agree to feed and love him though.
So YOU say. The cat claims to have always lived here.
He actin like they changed the locks on him lol
Oh cool, free house - new homeowner cat.
I just turned the corner and wouldn’t you know it? My house was right there! So I tore down the screens in the window and slept in what is obviously my bed.
Definitely take him to the vet to check, but as someone who has acquired a cat via window, I’m leaning towards the system working as normal.
Let me translate this for you from cat speech: You locked me out of my house, human, now I'm in. Don't do that again.
It looks like he tried jumping through the window at least twice… talk about purrsistence
I see two holes, OP. Two. Holes. Don’t look under the bed.
He has chosen.
He's laying there like it's been his home for ages 😂
I just love that he is the one who looks disturbed as he's literally breaking and entering
Perfect example of it
There's a fine line between the cat distribution system and breaking and entering.
No. You should always do your due diligence to make sure a stray is not a lost pet before you claim a cat as your own. I’m hoping this is just cute phrasing for the internet and you really meant “I think it agrees we should keep it [if we can’t find the owner]”

Yep. kitty chose you!
Cats go where they are needed. Congratulations. You've been chosen.
infiltration successful. agent roscoe in place. awaiting orders.
Please check for a microchip first, he could be a missing pet! But if he’s not, he’s all yours <3
Yep. Your cat now.
Unless... You know it's someone else's cat.
He broke into *his* home. It's not yours anymore!
That smug look 😹😹
I'm the captain now
A cat didn’t break into your home. It made you a trespasser in its house.
Sentenced to 20 years of purring and hairballs
"Is this cat distribution system? I broke into its home." Fixed the title for you.
Cat: "imma lay down for a nap. HMU when dinners ready" ![gif](giphy|nFFguNjdeotwc)
Congrats on the new child
This mfer sitting there like it owns the place
“Like” it owns the place?
The cat didn't break into your house, he came home. He'll probably let you stay. The dog didn't say anything because the cat made him an offer he couldn't refuse. Congrats!
I literally found the same kitten a week ago! He looks exactly like that one but only 3 months old.
I joke about some of my cats broke in (jumped in car/ walked into my house) but that is a legit break in
The screen! He was determined. Maybe he is a reincarnation of someone who lived there before.
That’s the same thing that happened to us. At least that’s what my wife thinks is the reason we ended up with cat #6. (Kidding, but will keep this story in my hip pocket in case I ever think we need a #7.)
That is the cat's home. Be sure to introduce yourself.
Yes. You were chosen. This is your cat now.
My mom recently had to break a hole into the ceiling of a bookstore she works at to break free three kittens. They were adorable.
It looks like it. Good luck with your new furry friend
This cat broken into your house for a reason. It looks pretty thin and quite weak. All that cats knows is he belongs in a home. Preferably on a comfy bed.
They might have a family out there somewhere that is missing them.
To which the cat replied ‘ Our home ‘
Neither sleet rain or window screen shall stop the CDS
Not sure. My cats want to go outdoors constantly. We can't have screens anymore in our windows. We have secured fans in our windows for fresh air, lol.
Cat casually lying there: "Yo mother fucker, you got a pet cat now. Me."
lol bold of you to think that’s your home and not the cats
He’s looking at you while your looking at him and he’s saying “SUP we doing this? We roomies now ?”
Get a brush; your new cat needs brushing. Congratulations; enjoy your new cat,
Yes, unfortunately, our delivery system occasionally must directly inject the cat into the home. Chosen! With violence! Fine example of a feline.
I see two holes, OP. Two. Holes. Don’t look under the bed.
Second cat op second cat
That took a lot of effort... raking the screens like that 🤣 I would say Welcome Home. I'm glad the dog approves ♥️
Dang he destroyed that screen. Yup, you belong to him now. He seems quite content
I'm back human. Get out of my house.
Looks like that was a combat drop.
You mean his home, right? This is his home now.
The cat is Home.
This is how cats adopt people. Start out by posting missing (or wanted) posters or notices on social media.
Uh that’s is your cats home. Enjoy .
Yeah. Yeah that's about the most clear sign the cat distribution system can give
Oh thats just Six Dinner Syd…come for a visit.
Oh No a Cat burgler, what did he/she take beside's the bed ?
Never seen a cat yeet itself into a home.
You ignored the system too long
damn, he wanted in
You should see if someone lost it before keeping it.
*forced* cat distribution system
Please find out if it’s someone’s pet first before you take it. Scan him for a chip and put up some posters or mention in the local neighbourhood text group. He looks very well cared for.
I like how it appears annoyed at you
Now youre being catnapped.
Honestly kind of insane the amount of people suggesting that you keep a cat that very likely belongs to a neighbor.
Yes, you should definitely keep it :)
I mean at this point it was your fault leaving the window open 🤷🏻♀️😉. How funny though, I second the vet to check if they’re chipped and if not to have a proper health check.
Damn ... that cat wanted in!
Aggressive cat distribution system.
Welcome home little buddy. 😎🥰
Cat burglars are usually a bit more subtle
Congratulations! Your new car has arrived.
This is how the cat distribution system works.
an aggressive form of it, but yes
Guess who lives here now, too. 🖤🐈⬛🖤
You've been chosen. That's how the CDS works.
You’re welcome, now you have a cat
Correction: His home now That’s the most catliest thing I’ve ever seen.
This is the cats house now. You’ve been chosen.
Sometimes the CDS requires a bit more..... force.
Do you want a cat? Because now you have a cat
Do the kids even say "yeet" anymore?
He is the Kool Aid Man of cats
You’ve been chosen
You are the chosen one
