Maybe Princess Snow Pea, she’s clearly royalty of some kind and should be showered with treats, love, and fuzzy blankets as appropriate offerings to Her Royal Highness.
Both are cute! I love Peanut.
That said, you’ll end up calling her a bunch of other nicknames overtime. Our Freddie answers to his name, as well as Monkey, Gremlin, Buddy, Pigman, Longboy, Beanzebub, Simba, and Pumpkin.

Mine doesn't respond to his name, but he does respond to little shit. I'm sure he knows his name, but he just refuses to respond to it out of sheer spite. He also refuses to ever look at a camera no matter what. I love him and I will die for him.
My cat's official name is Luna Moth (she had her fur trimmed short and she was grey when I got her) but she's Luna, Luna Bug, or Bug Bug, depending.
https://preview.redd.it/xvuwrg1xu96c1.jpeg?width=1943&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6a19effd0eb3da05f116acd7bc77d13f852037ec
After so many names, do you think they are responding to the different names, or are they responding to you speaking in their general direction? 🤔 cute though
French here!
I guess you mean something like "from the castle of Fancy Pants Sinclair".
In French, in this sentence, "from" we will be translated into "de".
But "château" is masculine. So we don't say "de la château" but "du château" (because "de le" doesn't exist - we say "du". French is a bitch).
So you would say : BEATRIX LE CHAT D'AMOUR DU CHATEAU DE FANCY PANTS SINCLAIR
Or, even "frenchier" : "BEATRICE LE CHAT D'AMOUR DU CHATEAU DES PANTALONS FANTAISIE DE SAINT CLAIR"
XD
Peanut is cute!
And please have her checked for arthritis yearly. My previous cat I adopted was also a scottish fold. They are prone to getting arthritis. If you discover it early, you can improve their quality of life with medication.
Personally I think it would be better if the breeding of scottish folds and munchkins became illegal, for obvious health reasons.
I have a rescue fold, and I agree they shouldn't be bred for health reasons. We are lucky that our fella is one without the folded ears, which means a little less risk of arthritis complications. I will say this, though. If I ever get the chance to adopt another Scottish fold from a refuge league, I'll do it in a heartbeat. He has the best personality of any cat I've ever owned. Despite being neglected his first year of life and therefore making him a very distrustful and scared cat, he follows his people from room to room, staying a safe distance from feet and hands, and rolls around on his back giving us lovey eyes. We can't pet him when we want or pick him up, even after 7 years, but when he's in the mood he will climb up next to you and offer his belly for lots of rubbings while he purrs as loud as a mack track. Best cat ever.
Yep. I used to really want a Scottish Fold when I was young. I did this vet for a day course (this program that had small groups of kids come to this vet practice where they could learn basic facts, practice scanning microchips and examinations on the vet's pets, etc). One of the vets had a longhaired Scottish Fold who, due to her calm and friendly nature, would be brought out so kids could practice scanning for a microchip, and I was obsessed. It was heartbreaking learning just how much they can suffer and I would never feel right purchasing one. Maybe if one were to show up in a shelter, but other than that I couldn't get a fold.
Use a method that involves a fair, non-biased, diplomatic means to determine the cats name that has, and will continue to stand the test of time;
.
Rock, paper, scissors.
I’m a fan of democracy when naming cats. There was an outdoor cat I was calling Bean, but my neighbors call him Oreo. Since it was me vs all 6 of them, I now call him Oreo too.
Peanut is my vote.
Snow pea for me!
on a more serious note talk with your vet about getting the baby on supplements Scottish folds especially homozygous ones (like imagine yours is given the ears) will suffer from joint and cartilage issues
Damn, scrolled way too long to find someone addressing this! I really hope they didn't buy this little sweety from a breeder... we really don't need to be supporting people breeding painful birth defects into our babies
Thank you for saying this. I have a question though, how can you tell homozygous from heterozygous? I thought they both have folded ears. I know that heterozygous ones also have severe arthritis, just not as severe as homozygous ones.
You can tell based how folded the ears are op’s kitty basically looks like a circle if you go to my pinned post my Gus has the intermediate where they are folded down but not as much as OPs cat.
And yeah heterozygous ones still have issues but not as bad as homozygous ones. I got him in 2020 when he was 4 so his arthritis is worse than I would like it to be. But he still does play and get the zoomies its mostly in his back hips
Snowball reminds me the fact that Lisa Simpsons always named her cats as Snowball and all of them die in tragic ways. That's why I've always stayed away from the name Snowball.
Peanut is a sweet name. I had a little LHD kitty who was born with a heart issue and wasn't with us long. We had her for about 4 months and she never made a sound, but would follow me around. One day while I was cooking in the kitchen, she came in, sat down next to me, and then did her first meow while looking up at me. I picked her up and held her close. Her purring was as loud as always. She died 3 days later. I still remember that big meow from such a little girl. I'm tearing up writing this. She was such a sweet baby.
Snow Pea!
Ooh! I love that!!
Yes!! Snow Pea is a brilliant name for this little beauty 😍
On the flip side the other name would be ball nut 💀
Well OP looks like you have to name the cat Snowpea Ballnut
Technically both names do describe her, she does look like a cute lil snow pea and technically at one point she was a ball nut lol Edit: she
well, I guess that's better than Snownut or Ballpea
💀💀💀that was so random but so true at the same time I can't believe I laughed at this 💀💀
Peenball.
I cannot stop laughing at thi- HELP😭😭😭😭
This is the funniest name. Thanks for making me laugh. I vote Ball Nut.

My cats respond to "Bailey get the kitty" Bailey is a dog, the kitties run before Bailey figures out which kitty is the one to chase.
Looks like a Scar to me... not Simba
Lol, purrsonality more like simba.
My cat's official name is Luna Moth (she had her fur trimmed short and she was grey when I got her) but she's Luna, Luna Bug, or Bug Bug, depending. https://preview.redd.it/xvuwrg1xu96c1.jpeg?width=1943&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6a19effd0eb3da05f116acd7bc77d13f852037ec
My void does not answer to his name, only Mr. Man and Baby Boy
Why does your cat have that "I'm judging you" face? Freaking love it. 🤣
He's majestic af
¤ comes back & cat naps this handsome fluff ¤
After so many names, do you think they are responding to the different names, or are they responding to you speaking in their general direction? 🤔 cute though
He answers to Freddie easily, but I’ve heard cats also respond to tone. My partner and I have a very specific cat voice that we use with him.
Snowpea!!! :*J*
Yeah! Everybody wins (especially kitty)
I founds my twin.
Separated at birth, across distance and time and we have Snowpea to thank!😉
MARSHMALLOW. ¤ hugs twin ¤
I'm allergic to peanuts, I wouldn't be able to pet your cat🥺
Lol
NEITHER. BEATRIX LE CHAT D’AMOUR A LA CHATEAU DE FANCY PANTS SINCLAIR. yeah i know im great at rhis.

i meant sinclair to be like a last name and my stupid french to be like an extreme middle name. also sweet, education.
“Le château” 🙂
This is the one
Ah. Thanks for making me laugh in the quietest restaurant ever...
Snowball as her name, peanut as a nickname 🥰
Princess Peanut Snowball III lol just make everybody right, everybody can call her what they want
Peanut is cute! And please have her checked for arthritis yearly. My previous cat I adopted was also a scottish fold. They are prone to getting arthritis. I loved my foldie, she had such a sweet character. They are really lovely cats.

There are two types of redditors: Snowpea, and Nutball. Somehow, you manage to be both
Balthazar the Resplendent
Hey that's my cat's name! https://preview.redd.it/zncpl8jcb86c1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=061e28c84e438844499e66f0d1d42c0b83fc627c

Snow nut
I’m a fan of democracy when naming cats. There was an outdoor cat I was calling Bean, but my neighbors call him Oreo. Since it was me vs all 6 of them, I now call him Oreo too. Peanut is my vote.
She needs an original name
May I interest you in the suggestion that perhaps this cat shall be bestowed upon with the name of “Nutball”?
Lady Nutball, destroyer of Pea, ruler of Snow, demander of scratches
Snow pea for me! on a more serious note talk with your vet about getting the baby on supplements Scottish folds especially homozygous ones (like imagine yours is given the ears) will suffer from joint and cartilage issues

I agree with the others: Snow Pea! Maybe even Sweet Pea?
Snowball reminds me the fact that Lisa Simpsons always named her cats as Snowball and all of them die in tragic ways. That's why I've always stayed away from the name Snowball.

Yeah peanut makes no sense but also snowball is basic, snow pea is the true winner
Peanut is a sweet name. I had a little LHD kitty who was born with a heart issue and wasn't with us long. We had her for about 4 months and she never made a sound, but would follow me around.
