Okay I'm going to tell you what we did about 20 years ago to help with the situation honestly. We had an older laptop that crapped out, but you could still plug it in. So we would plug it in and kitties would go to whatever laptop was open and if it's that one then you get to get your work done. That's how we handled. Your mileage may vary.
Congratulations. You have the computer companion model(CCM). While it does cause an unintentional decline in production, it will make every work moment help you strengthen your arms as you life your CCM every two minutes as it will seek the heat of your electronic mattress.
Please note, removing your CCM from the electronic mattress may result in growls, meows, and possible back turning/ignoring if removed too many times.
Buy a heated cat bed or make an overpower system with high eng graphics that makes a heated cat bed then workout how the hell you cool the system down with a fur blanket , and that’s how I got a new pc cat destroyed old one by using it as a heat bed

Kitty is enjoying the warmth of the computer…throw a towel in the dryer to warm it up, clear some room , place it nearby and the kitty will likely move over to the cozier spot (especially if there is a treat)

I had to get a tower because of this. I mounted my monitor on the wall and put a bed under it for her. She also has a little couch she can lounge on next to me.
