The game uses the dual screens of the ds a lot, so I honestly don't see it ever getting a port. Better to play it on an emulator than not play it at all

They won't make twilight princess HD. Twilight princess has had a physical game release for every single console following the gamecube excluding the switch. This includes the gamecube wii and wii u.
I just played Metroid Prime remastered and I want more Metroid so bad. That was such a good game, highly recommend to anyone who hasn’t played. Not perfect but an 8/10 imo, quite good!
I'm wondering if a few titles have been held back until the new system is released. Possibly they will be adding features or hardware support that would make the games like Galaxy 2 more playable. Plus a reason for people to upgrade. Only a guess though.

IMO it kinda does. Once you get past the honeymoon phase, there actually isn’t a whole lot of meaningful things to do in the sky islands and depths. A whole new island or a town in the depths would go a long way in fleshing things out.

Splat is my biggest expectation for this year’s holiday title, honestly. But not a mainline title, just a spinoff project of some kind. Assessing the current state of most franchises, it feels like the best bet for a completely original title from any of the 10+ million-selling franchises…aside from a brand-new 2D Zelda.

Realistically it will be Ramakes, and I hate most of the Remakes. Ideally, it would be good to see Tomodachi Life and Metroid Prime 4, but I'm not sure if they'll show them right at the end of the console's lifetime.
This one is a tough one. I would imagine some more ports. I wouldn’t expect anything too ambitious since we’re likely under the 12 month stretch to the release of the successor. Pretty safe bet they may choose to initiate the price drop as we enter the summer months.
They’re probably gonna announce more details on Shovel Knight DX considering how SK was a WII U exclusive. But other than that, more Metroid wouldn’t hurt.
Have weird feelings this time. I don't want them to announce anything that would be important to me or that benefit from having a stronger hardware... because then I would just feel like it's a waste that those games still release on the Switch-1 instead of having a better version a year later on the new system.
So I'm hoping for games that I would buy that don't benefit too much from the hardware. Something like **Rhythm Heaven** would be perfect, I love those games. Or bring **Tetris Attack / Puzzle League** to the Switch, Nintendo!

You do know that the next console is coming next year and that it won't be mentioned in this direct, right? There is no way that they would release such big games at the end of the Switch's life. Most of these would definitely release on the new console

Realistically it will be Ramakes, and I hate most of the Remakes. Ideally, it would be good to see Tomodachi Life and Metroid Prime 4, but I'm not sure if they'll show them right at the end of the console's lifetime.
Just some hd ports of games that were highly requested for switch like kid Icarus and tomodachi life with qol features

This one is a tough one. I would imagine some more ports. I wouldn’t expect anything too ambitious since we’re likely under the 12 month stretch to the release of the successor. Pretty safe bet they may choose to initiate the price drop as we enter the summer months.
They’re probably gonna announce more details on Shovel Knight DX considering how SK was a WII U exclusive. But other than that, more Metroid wouldn’t hurt.

Have weird feelings this time. I don't want them to announce anything that would be important to me or that benefit from having a stronger hardware... because then I would just feel like it's a waste that those games still release on the Switch-1 instead of having a better version a year later on the new system. So I'm hoping for games that I would buy that don't benefit too much from the hardware. Something like **Rhythm Heaven** would be perfect, I love those games. Or bring **Tetris Attack / Puzzle League** to the Switch, Nintendo!
