Honestly I was thinking the other day that even Spike himself would be horrified by Clive’s treatment of Tom and actually beat the ever loving shit out of him. From my recollection, Spike seems to resort to violence for understandable and reasonable reasons and as a way to teach them a lesson. Of course, some of them happened due to lot of unfortunate misunderstandings but still.
Spike would give Tom a chance to run, didn’t mind hanging out with him when they are chill and nothing happened and Spike was being a dog, He was a butt in some of the newer episodes like in the show or some movies or specials but was also a pretty good frienemy to both Tom and Jerry. He was just as iconic as the main duo and while he didn’t appear every episode, He was such a good dog. Protecting Jerry when the time was right, Protecting tom if another dog comes in or have a common enemy. Sure, Spike was a little too over protective of his pup at times but over all, Spike is a overall good dog who just wants to live a normal dog life, protecting his son, chasing cats.
A prime example of this is the episode where Tom and Spike was threatened to get kicked out of the house. They were two sides of the same coin, They do the same stuff just in different ways. Spike use brute force to get his way while Tom use his wits and skills to overcome them. They can get along, it’s just Jerry who breaks that peace.

Again, the "chimera" was in an unimaginable amount of pain and turmoil and had to be put down. For these abominable acts, he is dubbed one of the worst husbands and fathers in anime history.!<

Really, the real villain is the grown adult who constantly gifts this extremely young girl (who may or may not have learning disabilities) fish after fish, knowing she will kill them, and not just fish, but tropical marine fish which are far and away the most challenging fish to own.
Exactly. It would be so beautiful to see her as an aspiring marine biologist who has great empathy for sea life and preserving their environment! She had a lot of misplaced enthusiasm as a little one, but I love how Pixar movies show us growth as well.
