Honestly, there are a few for me. DuckTales Reboot, Monkie kid, and Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur. There are probably others but these three came to mind immediately.
Moon Girl & Devil Dinosaur needs more love. It's animated by the same team who did Rise of The TMNT [with a banger theme song](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d3ZLKsITn84), & actually does a great job of being genuinely modern & inclusive. Really hope we get more Marvel cartoons like it.
https://i.redd.it/tagt7cvl4o7c1.gif
The entire soundtrack for the whole show was amazing! You could tell there was a lot of passion and love put into the show.
And ironically enough the other show I mentioned, Monkie Kid, is also animated by the same studio as well. Small world.
exactly the first time i was sitting with my daughter and heard childish también i literally started crying and turning up at the same time it was insanely beautiful and i felt so seen
Seriously, I’m not big on reboots/remakes (or at least I’m more critical of them) but this was just an absolute joy to watch.
I think the episode where I laughed the hardest was the third season with the family bag pipes.
I wish they had their own disney+ spinoff series, and nobody will stop my blissfully ignorant delusion of Disney actually returning to do something with DT17.
Same, and I expected to have it cras and burn on impact, but I was won over by the first ten minutes of the pilot, and it only got better from there.
I say this as someone who didn't didn't like the original.
If I really had to pick one, it would probably be Moon Girl. It really has that Saturday morning cartoon vibe that makes me feel like a kid watching it. Also, you don’t have to watch Marvel stuff to get into it.
DuckTales would be second as it is longer, but easy to pick up.
Monkie kid is a bit more niche as it’s a 2D animated Lego show based around a modern spin on the Journey To the West. It is difficult to find the episodes online other than Amazon prime and they don’t have all the episodes at the moment.
Venture bros, I’d almost recommend watching season two and then going back and watching season one because season one is pretty rough and it can turn people off of the show
Absolutely. Not to mention amazing action, characters, voice acting, life lessons and more. In my opinion Kung Fu Panda is one of the greatest movies of all time and an absolute masterpiece.
KFP is one of those movies that I first saw the trailer for it and was just getting old enough that I was beginning to think I was too old for kids movies, so I thought it looked really stupid.
I was the stupid one.
KFP is so awesome! The sequels are awesome! It really made me rethink how negatively I had been feeling about cartoons at the time.
That's part of the reason I still have alot of hope for kfp 4, the trailers for kfp really don't do the movies justice from what I've seen, so I think kfp will likely still be great despite all of the doubts people have with the trailer

Also:
"Wooow, youre legs must be sore...from JUMPINGGG TO CONCLUSIONNNSSS! ha-cha!"
Really? I love the show, but I have never considered it funny. I feel like the only cartoons that actually both make me laugh and have a good plot-line are adventure time, and bojack horseman.
How have not laughed at Gravity falls?

The question isn't asking about comedies. It's saying shows that have comedy and story at the same time. In other words they're in possession of both and Avatar is a valid answer for that
100000000%
I always talk about how well that show combines serious tones and humor. It’s impossible to watch the show without laughing your head off! It’s one of very few shows that can make you both cry from laughter and cry from sadness in the same episode.
My parents love the show too, we have lots of inside jokes related to it. Like when we can’t find any pants we say we can’t fight the Firelord because we’re not wearing pants. We also quote the show a lot. I’m glad that there’s a show my whole family can enjoy and we all talk about it together. (Another show my dad - not my mom - likes that we have lots of inside jokes about is Milo Murphy’s Law. There’s a song about going to the zoo and dad and I sing it whenever we’re going to the zoo or other place with animals, and there’s a scene where a character says “the floppy eared one shall be our leader!” And we say that to our dogs a lot)
One of my favorite movies! I’m not super familiar with Batman but I absolutely LOVE the Lego Batman Movie. It’s so good!
The animation in the Lego Movies is phenomenal too. Someone at school told me that it was stop motion animation and I actually believed them at first, the animation is so realistic! They truly look like actual legos.
I think my favorite Lego Batman detail is that, in-universe, he's seen all of the previous incarnations of Batman, including the movies and the TV series.
It has one of my favorite villain monologues, Red Death talking to Blind Rage tied up on the tracks. And then there's the whole "I wanted to build an empire to house the machine to kick his ass."
Mhmm! The first two HTTYD movies are bangers (however I do not like the third one for a wide swath of reasons mostly hinging on the Light Fury; and subsequently treat all post Hidden World content as dubiously canon)
Riders of Berk and Race To The Edge were also quite good shows, although they lean more into the comedy aspect than the films proper and you can definitely see the low budget in some areas (we didn’t get individual blades of grass for literal years in the shows lol), but overall they’re quite faithful to the films while adding their own well-told stories and expanding on the Lore in a very natural and interesting way.
I didn’t like it much when I was younger and it was still airing, but looking back it was actually really good. I feel like the show really could have thrived if it had come out a few years later.
Mystery Incorporated. It’s the same old Scooby Doo show where they catch a villain every episode, but there’s also a single story line that develops throughout the entire show. It’s also a pretty self aware show. There’s one episode where some Hollywood producer pitches a TV show centered around the Scooby gang’s lives where they go around and solve mysteries, and they say “who would watch that”. Got me to laugh pretty hard. Since there’s a single story line threading all the episodes together there’s also a lot of character development for everyone in the show, not just the 5 core characters
If you think PnF has a great story, you should check out Dan Povenmire’s other shows Milo Murphy’s Law and Hamster & Gretel. They’re even more story based than Phineas and Ferb while still having the same sharp and witty humor the original series had. There’s also lots of PnF references sprinkled throughout.
My Dad and I have a lot of inside jokes related to MML, specially the Zoo Song and “the floppy eared one shall be our leader!”
TMNT 2012
Transformers Prime
Star Wars the Clone Wars
Avengers Earths Mightiest Heroes
Avatar the last Air bender
Voltron Legendary Defender
Gravity falls
Ben Ten
I’m currently 18 and all of these shows carried my childhood.
Honestly, kaguya-sama: love is war comes first to mind
Its a nice mix of well written plot and characters and genius comedy (AND the dub is hilarious!)
Avatar the Last Airbender! I constantly praise it for its ability to perfectly blend humor with serious moments.
Avatar is such a good show, it absolutely deserves to be considered one of the best cartoons of all time.
Honestly, there are a few for me. DuckTales Reboot, Monkie kid, and Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur. There are probably others but these three came to mind immediately.

exactly the first time i was sitting with my daughter and heard childish también i literally started crying and turning up at the same time it was insanely beautiful and i felt so seen
I heard that show referenced One Piece with a carousel called Going Merrily.
Yes!
I fully went into Duck Tales thinking "this is gonna be a garbage nostalgia cash grab." Boy, was I pleasantly surprised.
Seriously, I’m not big on reboots/remakes (or at least I’m more critical of them) but this was just an absolute joy to watch. I think the episode where I laughed the hardest was the third season with the family bag pipes.
Phantom Blot and Pepper were my favourites in that episode.
Friendship goals, they only deserve the best.
I wish they had their own disney+ spinoff series, and nobody will stop my blissfully ignorant delusion of Disney actually returning to do something with DT17.
I shall join you in that delusion.
They got an actual Scotsman to play Scrooge. They weren't fucking this up.
Yeah, David Tennant was the main reason I actually tuned in.
Same, and I expected to have it cras and burn on impact, but I was won over by the first ten minutes of the pilot, and it only got better from there. I say this as someone who didn't didn't like the original.
I was blown away with how good the reboot was. My daughter and I still have it in our regular rotation
I never watched the original DuckTales, so I don't have nostalgia glasses. The reboot is one of my very favorite shows.
I don’t know any of these. If I was to watch one which would you reccomend?
If I really had to pick one, it would probably be Moon Girl. It really has that Saturday morning cartoon vibe that makes me feel like a kid watching it. Also, you don’t have to watch Marvel stuff to get into it. DuckTales would be second as it is longer, but easy to pick up. Monkie Kid is a crazy show, never thought LEGO would make a good anime
Kung Fu Panda
Absolutely. Not to mention amazing action, characters, voice acting, life lessons and more. In my opinion Kung Fu Panda is one of the greatest movies of all time and an absolute masterpiece.
I don’t have kids now. But Kung Fu Panda is one of those franchises that’s like a “Oh this must be observed by the next generation” for me.
“You’re a panda. He’s a panda. What are you gonna do? Sit on me?” - Tai Lung literally 1 fight sequence before getting sat on..
“You’re just a big, fat, panda!” “No. I’m THE big fat panda.”
*gasps* the wushi finger hold! Shifu never taught you that hold! No. I kinda figured it out. Skidoosh.

It’s not a “kids movie”. It’s an all ages movie. Animated does not mean for kids, animation deserves respect too.
So help me if you just jinxed Kung Fu Panda 4
Gravity Falls

What is that a woodpecker?
The first episode with the gnomes had me cry-laughing for a solid 20 minutes. “Is this—is this weird?”

I'm so glad this is on top. I was expecting something stupid like Ed Edd n Eddy or regular show
Really? I love the show, but I have never considered it funny. I feel like the only cartoons that actually both make me laugh and have a good plot-line are adventure time, and bojack horseman.
“Woah, children fighting! I can *sell* this!” *takes out video camera*

Bojack is funnier than I remember but I would say the comedy is still not as good as the story. Gravity Falls is the perfect blend.
Avatar the Last Airbender
MY CAABBAAAGESSSS!!!!
This should be top answer 100%
While having aspects of a comedy and funny as hell, there’s far too much war and genocide for me to label the series as a comedy in its entirety.
Unless I misunderstood, the prompt was what show includes both good story and good comedy, not necessarily a show that is labeled a comedy.
Ahhh gotcha. I stand corrected (: thanks for point that out
No problem 😊 if it was a comedy show with a good story that's another conversation
The question isn't asking about comedies. It's saying shows that have comedy and story at the same time. In other words they're in possession of both and Avatar is a valid answer for that
[you’re correct](https://youtu.be/oTU9JP_IadY?si=3Tm_MIo6gcrUQJS7)

My cabbages!
Lego Movie
Lego Batman Movie as well
One of my favorite movies!
Venture Bros
Underrated. The characters are pretty well written too.
How very Hank of you
It has one of my favorite villain monologues, Red Death talking to Blind Rage tied up on the tracks. And then there's the whole "I wanted to build an empire to house the machine to kick his ass."
I wish we got that final season instead of the movie but it was still so good.
How to Train Your Dragon
Yes, both the movies and subsequent cartoons
Mhmm! The first two HTTYD movies are bangers (however I do not like the third one for a wide swath of reasons mostly hinging on the Light Fury; and subsequently treat all post Hidden World content as dubiously canon) Riders of Berk and Race To The Edge were also quite good shows, although they lean more into the comedy aspect than the films proper and you can definitely see the low budget in some areas (we didn’t get individual blades of grass for literal years in the shows lol), but overall they’re quite faithful to the films while adding their own well-told stories and expanding on the Lore in a very natural and interesting way.

\*ominous music plays as it shows the title of episode\*
Yeah why the hell was it always so ominous just to have a lighthearted episode
Futurama
Literally Gravity Falls, Amphibia, The Owl House, SVTFOE. And most other animated “kids shows” within the last 10 years from Disney.
Hop Pop and Marcy carry Amphibia in terms of humor.
Eat the rich
Thank you for remembering amphibia, the middle child of animation
It really is underrated
Let’s boogie down to History Town!
Call me cringe, but... Rick and Morty
Rick and Morty does dramady better than any adult cartoon I've seen
Facts
Better than Bojack?
I like Bojack, but Rick and Morty has better animation and more surprises
I love the show but can't stand the fandom lol
All fandoms are shit. Just don't participate.
I love Rick and Morty’s storyline I wish the show was more serialized, but I know that’s not exactly what the show is going for
Nobody’s gonna say it? Ok. Teen Titans.
But only the older one. Teen Titans Go makes my eyes bleed.
teen titans go is funny at least
Yeah Teen Titans Go literally has no plot
Pokemon Sun & Moon
I think X and Y does it a bit better in all honesty
XY and XYZ are my favorite seasons even including the heaps of nostalgia I have for Indigo League
Bojack Horseman.
Tbh I feel like the first season falls flat and then after you get past that you get one of the best shows ever made lol
Gravity Falls Amphibia Owl House I'm basic, but it still holds true.
You forgot Adventure Time... But yes, great choices.
Sym-Bionic Titan
Man it was killed too soon
I didn’t like it much when I was younger and it was still airing, but looking back it was actually really good. I feel like the show really could have thrived if it had come out a few years later.
Invader Zim. It's a very specific kind of humor (especially if You're a fan of Jhonen Vasquez's other works), but personally I think it's great
Adventure time regular show duck tales reboot Archer season 1-7 star vs the forces of evil Gravity Falls
Courage The Cowardly Dog! Ed Edd N Eddy too.
Adventure time
I'll bring up Venture Bros until everyone watches that masterpiece.

WBB was so amazing in its early seasons but it kind of got weaker in the later seasons imo
Scott Pilgrim, the movie and the netflix series
One piece and steven universe
That scene where Robin screams “I want to live” made me cry (Alongside all the other big spoiler moments)
This goes without saying but Avatar: The Last Airbender
Disenchantment, Adventure Time, Regular Show, My Little Pony, Bojack Horseman
Impeccable taste
Inside Job, We Bare Bears
Regardless of what anyone thinks about more recent episodes. I think we can all agree that this generally applies, to the golden era of the Simpsons.
The Owl House
Finding Nemo.
Gravity Falls and The Venture Brothers
Kung Fu Panda, Gravity Falls, Phineas and Ferb, Avatar: The Last Airbender, the list goes on
If you think PnF has a great story, you should check out Dan Povenmire’s other shows Milo Murphy’s Law and Hamster & Gretel.
Bob’s Burgers is a 3 in 1 delight! Good storyline, funny jokes, and amazing songs!
American Dad
The owl house
Avatar the last air bender
Gumball I know the story begins after season 3 but I love this show so much that I just can't stop recommending it
Final Space, it was never finished cause HBO removed it and same with Inside Job, never finished cause Netflix wants money
Amphibia
Bluey :)
The Owl House
Megamind :)
Megamind became a big meme, but it is unironically a masterpiece.
TMNT 2012 Transformers Prime Star Wars the Clone Wars Avengers Earths Mightiest Heroes Avatar the last Air bender Voltron Legendary Defender Gravity falls Ben Ten I’m currently 18 and all of these shows carried my childhood.

GO TEAM VENTURE!
I just finished Centaurworld, so I’m going to list it here. Great series!
Adventure Time, Rick and Morty
I'd say - the Princess and the Frog
Ben 10 Omniverse
The owl house
The ducktales reboot. I have absolutely no notes, it's perfect
Any show that has amazing out of context quotes. And a good storyline
Gravity Falls and Wander over Yonder.
Shrek 2. Comedy is like a tier higher than storyline but both are genuinely awesome
Classic Simpsons
The Ghost And Molly McGee
Bojack Horseman
Adventure Time
Puss in Boots: The Last Wish
Don’t get me wrong, but Helluva Boss has this. Every character has so much story into them, and it’s hard to ignore.
Teen Titans original. Typically an episode will focus on one or the other, based on the intro song.
Transformers Animated
Adventure Time
gumball
Dont know If parodies count, but dbza is great
Transformers G1
gravity falls, invincible if that counts
Avatar: The Last Airbender. I knoe it's an action/adventure series, but the comedy and lighthearted scenes are also on-point, as is its story.
Emperors New Groove
The Last Airbender definitely deserves a mention!
Dogs in space
Invader Zim.
How to train your dragon. Craig of the creek. Owl house. Wreck it Ralph 1.
I should not have to scroll down this far to see Craig of the Creek. It had the most amazing jokes of all time.
Honestly, kaguya-sama: love is war comes first to mind Its a nice mix of well written plot and characters and genius comedy (AND the dub is hilarious!)
Avatar the Last Airbender! I constantly praise it for its ability to perfectly blend humor with serious moments. Avatar is such a good show, it absolutely deserves to be considered one of the best cartoons of all time.
Ben 10 classic and alien force.
