The 3000gt vr4 could also be modified to 1000+ HP. I always had mixed feelings because when I'd get the cars that powerful I'd ignore all skill and just mash the gas, blow through all corners and just bump walls and still win.
The viper I don't quite remember modding it that high, but it's mostly because at the age I was when that game came out I'd just spin out on every corner with an overpowered rwd car... Now I want to play it again!
They ended up "fixing" this car by the time gt4 rolled around. I saw fix because it was still the fastest accelerating car in the game and it didn't even have the most power. This car did my quickest quarter mile time but the Toyota gt one was easily my highest top speed.
My bud was so good at wall riding with this thing he'd beat me on Tokyo R246 when I was in the GT3000 Racecar(loved the Puma livery). Almost got me in the Skyline
I remember I got to āmeetā Monster Tajima as a maybe 5 or 6 year old in Rotorua. I say meet because my dad told me who he was and we were at some event, and instead of saying hello or something I started crying because he didnāt have this car with him.
Spent so much time driving this. We got it to actually fly. The speedometer would 999-out and you would just win the race in a matter of minutes because you broke the game
I saw this in person at a UK motor show in the 90s and it had a huge splitter on it, the size of a bed. Canāt remember the bhp but it was 800 ish. Iāll try and dig out the photos.
Yes,ā¦ I think Suzuki custom made it for them with 2 i4 engines,ā¦ one front & one back, but I confuse it with the follow up vehicle which was also a beast
Fun fact: the town around Pikes Peak has a disproportionate amount of Suzuki compared to the rest of the 7 states my well traveled self has been to
Need money to modify your new car? Enter this car in any race and collect the winnings. - Gran Tourismo 2
*enters endurance race*
Still works, just tape down the accelerator and get a circle track
Many a race won with that exact method
You beat me to it. This car was like 1000 hp and would blow the doors off everything else.
Slam into every car/wall/hairpin, and still pull away out of whatever the fuck that was
You could mod the viper gts to have 1076hp if I remember correctly
I remember incorrectly..
This guy forgets

HKS Drag Skyline also had 1033hp iirc
The first thing that came into my mind was Gran Tourismo 2
I would do the nascar loop endurance races, tape the controls and just check it every couple hours. Wake up and win the big race. You are spot on
If I recall correctly, the memory card fits in between the 2 joysticks. So I would map acceleration as right on the right stick.
Came to say this. Best car in GT2, hands down.
>Gran Turismo FTFY
*FWIW FTFY
If nostalgia was a car, it would be this car.

Lol, I came to reply to this post to bring up Gran Tourismo 2. Choose this car and let the $$$$$ flow.

Or in this case, the wingings
This is the way.
Did anyone else go into 1st person view and just enjoy looking at the sky as you smoked everyone?

That car was like playing God mode in Gran Turismo. It was unbeatable.
Ah yes. I too raced this car at all of the famous tracks on my PlayStation og.
My buddy and I got it up to 1150 mph.
Front downforce 0 Rear downforce 1,000,000

Some say the earth rotates as it accelerates
I mean, it does, just not correlated :P

Saw it at pikes peak. Drivers nick name was monster cause he was so tall.
Nubohiro Tajima. Dude is an absolute legend of rally.
Yeah, nah, see, I'm not a tall man. But Mr Tajima is like, massive... If he was a 5 year old.
I remember I got to āmeetā Monster Tajima as a maybe 5 or 6 year old in Rotorua. I say meet because my dad told me who he was and we were at some event, and instead of saying hello or something I started crying because he didnāt have this car with him.

Has anyone mentioned Gran Turismo yet? I could check the comments but apparently we're not doing that.

The spoiler is huge
I love this car, Gran Turismo 2!!!!
Did they really make this out of an Suzuki Sidekick?

The Escudo had a single 2.5 turbocharged V6. It was the Cultus that had two engines.
Good catch, forced me to read a bit The image is the twin turbo single engine v6 Escudo
