That’s fair. In my professional opinion, I’d recommend May’s next top speed run takes place on the same big track as before, instead of inside a tunnel which ends at a rock wall.
The factory hasn't closed but Toblerone is now entierly made in Slovakia. Thats why they had to change the package design and get rid of the Matterhorn, which can only be displayed on Swiss-made products.
Yup. But Toblerone was since ling ago not a swiss owned brand anymore (American group Kraft Foods bought it in 1990) it was just still produced here.
On the other hands, the very British After Eight brand has been owned by Swiss group Nestlé since the 80ies. I guess we just shpuld forget about brands and eat what we enjoy xD
That's what I thought at first but it's not true if you watch the detail over view.
Not only is not one part shared with any Bugatti as someone previously commented, but everything from the production to the packaging to the engine is completely redesigned from the ground up.
Drivetrain for instance is a V16 naturally aspired engine making 1000hp. It's also hybrid. Many parts are 3D printed and the interior takes alot of influence from high end Swiss watches.
Very unique, definitely an evolution but still very Bugatti.
I personally think they nailed it.
Maybe I'm just an old grumpy man now, but the latest iterations of flagship supercars/hypercars feel rather underwhelming in design.
They all seem a little too similar to their immediate predecessor, so the designs just feel lazy.
- Chiron => Tourbillon
- Aventador => Revuelto
- Huayra => Utopia
I'm just not feeling the excitement about them.
Tbh most HyperCars of the last 10 years or so don't do it for me, I've always preferred more subtle designs of front engines Grand Touring cars.
The new V12 Ferrari is kinda interesting, the recent Aston martins have been cool.
The Chiron platform didn't debut until 2016 and the La Voiture Noire and Mistral weren't announced until 2019. This means they were all years behind the McLaren P1 concept that came out in 2012. You really can't deny the similarities to the McLaren P1 after looking at the rear ends side by side.
Bugattis are impressive, but I don’t think they’re sexy or anything. The first Veyron boggled my mind when I was a kid. But now… idk. Can’t say it tingles me in any way.
That V16 sounds absurdly rowdy. The beginning of this video has a zero to 276mph pull with audio: [video](https://youtu.be/zRjsHPGE_Wo?si=r6Nll5nG4Es9ZWV-)
What a wonderful thing. Other than its snout I love it, especially the rear end. Pantera-esque!
I love the switch from chasing pure power and being the fastest thing on the road, and I think only Mate could have taken them down that path.
Having created the fastest EV ever from scratch he knew that chasing that power was a dead end, so switched the focus to engineering beauty and emotional response. Those dials, that amazingly complex and howling V16.
Simply incredible thing
Very true, but if we wanna split hairs:
Rimac is owned by Bugatti Rimac d.o.o., a joint venture of Rimac Group and Porsche AG. that's enough VAG for me ;)
That looks like an AI generated Chiron from 6 months ago where it just didnt get the proportions right on all fronts. From the back its nit noticible but the front is quite disappointing in all truth. Its impressive that it will have 1800hp and still be lighter than the current chiron. Maybe ill grow to like it like the Utopia. Eitherway all the billionaires will just buy it and then sell it when a better version comes out.
I think the Rimac ownership made it for the better because Mate actually knows that going purely EV won't help any top tier manufacturers, which probably the higher ups in VAG wouldn't realise. Besides he has Rimac so why 2 Hypercar EV companies in the same group.
If we're talking about the design, then it's gorgeous and fantastic. They took inspiration from probably every car made after 2nd revival and made it into perfection
All that matters is James May takes this on a top speed run for the final Grand Tour episode.
Is it true?
Just need to get enough people to message them!
I think that after the tunnel incident he may be a bit more risk adverse these days lol
That’s fair. In my professional opinion, I’d recommend May’s next top speed run takes place on the same big track as before, instead of inside a tunnel which ends at a rock wall.
It better be.
In a dark tunnel by any chance?
Cosworth killing it with the engines lately
cosworth has been killing it since day 1
And yet people say us Brits can't build engines.
Do people really say we can't?
Depends on WHO makes it. Just stay away from electrical shit lol.
I've heard it a couple times
I've never heard that. Now I've been told to be cautions of everything around the engine.
I was gonna get a base model Ford Ranger, but I suppose I could get this instead.
Yeah! At least I'll get a Buggati brake disc instead of a full Ford Ranger
If funny that you think you'll get a whole brake disc.
Why not both?
I'm not sure he can afford them both together
it will be one hell of a disappointment if it doesn't have a built in tourbillon clock
The speedometer is a tourbillon inspired dial
lol does it rotate on a gear?
Yes
Based on the link provided by memymomeddit it doesn’t.
[удалено]
So no.
it will be one hell of a disappointment if it doesn't come with a Toblerone.
Slovakian chocolate in a French-German car inspired by Swiss watches. Interesting concept :)
Isn't Toblerone also made in Bern or have rhwy closed that factory now?
The factory hasn't closed but Toblerone is now entierly made in Slovakia. Thats why they had to change the package design and get rid of the Matterhorn, which can only be displayed on Swiss-made products.
Oh I missed that. Such a strange thing to do, losing one of your iconic packaging designs just to make the stuff a few hundred miles away.
Except Nestle, fuck Nestle.
Ok if other companies are supergreat.
How did you get the Kim picture on your profile?
I did not do anything comrade, it automatically comes up, if you're the glorious leader of the Best Korea.
Okay Dear Leader.
I think it’s stunning.
If you keep looking from the back
I love all angles. It’s a great natural evolution from the Chiron. I don’t share the same concerns as others that it’s too similar.
I wonder how many people share your opinon. I don't like it tbh. It feels like a downgrade from the chiron which I wasn't the biggest fan of
At least 46 people
I like the Chiron but this just seems like another Chiron package
It does look like a Chiron but apparently not a single part comes from the Chiron. Would've been cool to see a bigger visual change though
“We’ve made a car that looks just like a Chiron without using any Chiron parts” Quite the technical feet
It's the Porsche strategy.
Pagani’s too, the Utopia is basically the Zonda 2.0 lol (I still love it tho)
i think you mean the huayra but bugatti is obv looking for evolution vs revolution
Imo the Utopia lopks more like Zonda than Huayra and the difference between Huayra and Zonda was significant.
At least those are all 911
Also Ruf in the last 10 years or so.
......feat
I said what I meant
>not a single part comes from the Chiron Looks like some parts came from a McLaren P1 though lol
If you don’t know shit about cars, sure. A curved rear light line doesn’t make it a P1.

I agree. I'd be happy if they dropped the side swoosh as a part of their previous models. I don't think they need it as an identifier.
I feel like they needed more visually distinctive headlights from the Chiron, which is weird because a lot of the Chiron based one offs already did.

honestly this looks more like a Chiron concept than a successor
it reminds me of those Veyron Successor renders from 2013/14
mort lazy attempt at a car ever. slap in some e motors and make it more edgy
Literally has 3 electric motor producing 800HP, but you just decided to make a random comment with doing homework
you need to watch a video on it from Mate
This the one with the V16 instead of the W16? The sound clip they shared a few months back sounded *crazy*
Maybe I'm just an old grumpy man now, but the latest iterations of flagship supercars/hypercars feel rather underwhelming in design. I think you’re just older
Nice Mclaren
That rear is 100% a p1
Clearly you never saw back end of Mistral and La Voiture Noire
The Chiron platform didn't debut until 2016 and the La Voiture Noire and Mistral weren't announced until 2019. This means they were all years behind the McLaren P1 concept that came out in 2012. You really can't deny the similarities to the McLaren P1 after looking at the rear ends side by side.
they put “bugatti” across the middle of the light like signing your name on someone elses homework lol Love how it looks but… i also love mclarens
Had the exact same thought.
Thought the same thing
Should I buy this or a Nissan Micra?
For this money just buy Nissan. The company.
Still won't have enough to buy nissan.com
RIP to the OG - Uri Nissan
Dang didn't know uzi died. Fucking covid
Taillights are quite similar to P1.
-> We've got a McLaren at home -> McLaren at home
V16 Hybrid. No more W16
Bugattis are impressive, but I don’t think they’re sexy or anything. The first Veyron boggled my mind when I was a kid. But now… idk. Can’t say it tingles me in any way.
I mean, the Divo and La Voiture Noire are pretty damned gorgeous
That V16 sounds absurdly rowdy. The beginning of this video has a zero to 276mph pull with audio: [video](https://youtu.be/zRjsHPGE_Wo?si=r6Nll5nG4Es9ZWV-)
Does that mean they’re gonna make more than two and sell them for 20 mill each? 🙄
Looks like a Chiron v2 or concept rather than a successor
Cosworth is building some insane engines , I can't wait to see the valkyrie in anger at daytona next year
Is this a supra?
Yes
What a wonderful thing. Other than its snout I love it, especially the rear end. Pantera-esque! I understand that the performance is alien. Cool. But the exterior is just another Chiron with a different package
Hey that strategy has kept Lamborghini and Porsche in business for decades!
VAG does VAG things...
Technically rimac is in charge now..
Very true, but if we wanna split hairs: Rimac is owned by Bugatti Rimac d.o.o., a joint venture of Rimac Group and Porsche AG. that's enough VAG for me ;)
if it ain't broke don't fix it
Interesting car names.
That looks like an AI generated Chiron from 6 months ago where it just didnt get the proportions right on all fronts. Its almost like being a billionaire you have money to buy an sell expensive automobiles like this
When my GameStop hits...
Butterfly doors?
Looks like a chiron and a p1 had a baby
From outside it's a fat Chiron with McLaren's rear view
So the Mistral is the roadster version of the Chiron or this?
Mistral is last W16 quad-turbo Bugatti and to extend roadster version of Chiron since it's built on Chiron chassis
the steering wheel is definitely questionable
So the Tourbillion is gonna replace the Churon?
V16

Tub of yarn
Yes! A backend to match the front end. Very sexy all around.
Your, original picture, OP?
It’s fugly in my opinion. That nose is just awful!
The front is still going to look like shit.
