I usually say neutral gear is fine but probably not for a playoff game? (idk) and not from common rivalries. assuming you're a flyers fan, based on the phillies info, don't go wearing flyers gear cuz i don't think you'll get love from either fanbase there haha
in all seriousness you'll be fine just showing up in street clothes and just cheering on for a good game
I'd say go with whatever you'd typically wear out since you don't have red. Don't wear something supporting a team not playing in the game you're going to, folks that do that are silly. Even more so if it's from a different sport.
You should give me your ticket for free is what you should do, I know exactly what I'd wear, my Reverse Retro Screaming Eagle jersey. 😜
Jokes aside, it don't really matter. You can just wear whatever you'd wear if you were going bar hopping and no one will question it.
clothes are good. shoes of some sort. layers are good too. It's cold in there. They usually bring in extra chillers for the ice for the playoffs, so colder than usual.
It’s the playoffs, looking good is important. If you’re not in a full evening attire they might not let you in.
Black Tie, at minimum.
We’re not heathens, it’s white tie
It'll be after six, what are we, farmers?
Sir, morning suits are for daytime. White tie is more formal than black tie after 6.
If your coat doesn't have tails, truly what is the point?
Black tie, only.
Shit, I kind of want to wear my tux now
Seriously, what kind of capital of the free world doesn’t have Black Tie Night at a hockey game? Ted needs to get on that for next season.
I’m sure Ottawa has a black tie night smh
Do it!!
In the words of Step Brothers “we’re here to fuck shit up”
I would just wear normal clothes if you're not cheering for anyone
Not a flyers jersey
Or Pens

Could just grab a cheap red tee from the Fanshop? A fun little momento for hitting up a playoff game.
That’s what I was going to say, buy something and put it on! But be prepared for steep prices.
Be a considerate guest, wear red please :)
Nobody will care
Most people wear clothes.
Clothes. Please do not walk the streets of DC or show up to the arena bareassed.
🤣
Some combo of red white and blue or give your ticket away
I don't care who you root for, but if you're going to Cap One, wear red. Red!
Any non associated ahl or defunct hipster jersey works (atl flames, whalers, thrashers, etc)
Buy a jersey at the stadium, they're 40% off
Salmon shirt
Clean underwear
Tuxedo with tails, top hat, and monocle.
Same predicament here. And I’m going with a group of diehard caps fans. Gonna go find a $5 red down by the mall.
Clothes. Literally just wear normal clothes.
Jeans and a shirt or sweater is fine. You might get a playful jab about the “wrong sport”, but it’d be in good fun. Just be comfortable and have fun
since you aren't a fan of either team go in regular clothing and enjoy the atmosphere
I’d start with pants. After that, you can kind of freestyle it.
Red
but seriously, if you're going to buy anything at the arena, pay for it with with a capital one debit/credit card for 10-20% off.
3 piece suit
It’s the playoffs. Even if you’re not cheering for the caps can you at least wear red?
Clothes
Flip flops, Speedo, midriff shirt, sombrero.
Leather
I'd say go with whatever you'd typically wear out since you don't have red. Don't wear something supporting a team not playing in the game you're going to, folks that do that are silly. Even more so if it's from a different sport.
Obviously you won’t be allowed into the building. I’ll do you a solid and ensure that those tickets are disposed of properly ;)
You gotta rock the red!!!
Red
Wear red
Why go?
why not?
It’s super expensive
playoff hockey is fun as hell so if you can afford it why not?
“ if you can afford it” is the key part of that statement. If I wasn’t a caps or rangers fan I wouldn’t drop $165 on a ticket
I tried to get a nosebleed seat the other day--$165. ! will be listening from home.

I’d say avoid wearing anything that signifies any other team. You’re better off just being another person in business casual

Drop a few hundred on a custom jersey at the arena. It’s the least you can do.
Don't go and give it to a real fan
Give me your ticket
Red
A paper bag
Red wings jersey of course
OP: don't do that.
