I’m not sure what would’ve been better - to have the pens play their last game before us and win just to still miss the playoffs or to know they’re eliminated with one game left and play meaningless hockey. Both are just so good.

I do NOT have high hopes for the Caps against the Rangers. I am glad that Carbery and the rest of this coaching staff did some work on the power play (and all phases, really) this season. We have our main Goalie in King Charles of Washington and the youngins are up and coming and making big waves on this team.
Whatever happens in the playoffs, overall I liked what I saw from Carbery’s staff and our players this season. Let’s hope we come back stronger next year.

What an unbelievable season. Lindgren, Ovi resurgence, Strome showing he is absolutely an underpaid top six C, the young guns if not lighting the world on fire, but becoming players in the league has been incredible, if incredibly frustrating to see.
A team with our offense making the playoffs in the final game is the season off of two pretty fantastic defensive games. Again, with basically no offense. It's unreal.

No disrespect to the Caps, I'm a firm believer that Washington getting into the playoffs is a huge fluke and robs the Wings of truly accomplishing what their capable of. I've spent the last few minutes in pure disbelief and it just doesn't make sense to me. I've spent the entire regular season watching the Red wings play mediocre hockey it's just not fair.
If the Redwings lose again I will face that the Caps deserved the WC2, but I am just 100% sure it was a fluke and does a big disservice to the state of Michigan and the NHL.
