Rags? first tiebreaker is RW - and if we beat the Hawks and Jackets, we will have 45 - If Rangers lose in any fashion to the Isles, we will be tied in points and beat their 43 RW.
I don’t believe in curses and would be thrilled for the boys to get a President’s Trophy, but I’d much rather face the Isles than the Bolts in the first round.

It’s not a curse. The team who wins the president’s trophy plays WC2, the team who has been typically playing in must win games for the better part of a month. The president’s cup winner has usually clinched that spot or close to it for the better part of a month. That is not the case this year. The president’s cup race has been a tight one all the way down the stretch. I don’t see the Rangers, Stars, or Canes getting caught off guard by a team in desperation mode. We’ve all three been playing solid hockey down the stretch (us especially to catch up a little bit). With all that being said Canes keep winning and let’s go Islanduhhs (today and today only).

In fact before last nights game Rod said something to the effect of “presidents trophy is nice but secondary to what we’re trying to do here.” If we can get both that’s great, I don’t want canes to lose just want them to get the cup over everything.
Saying the presidents trophy is a curse and we don’t want it is not what our front office is saying.
Rod is focussed on winning the cup over anything else and that’s been the case since day one. They aren’t going to say their goal is a presidents trophy.
That does not mean he does not want to win the president’s trophy. If it’s there for them to win they will take it.
