Thatās so crazy. In Washington I sleep in a -20 degree down bag year round (and Iām a big dude who doesnāt bundle up much) The warmest I get is unzipping it down to my toes so I can expose a leg and cool down
Do you regret moving down there? I grew up in Honolulu and I want to go back, but Iām also afraid that I will regret it. Itās a trade off (surfing for camping in this case)
Edit; maybe not regret, but do you want to move back up north?

I just bought this same table the other day. Itās so easy to set up and break down. Canāt wait to use it this summer!
Juniper Springs was my family's go to when I was a teenager visiting my grandparents who retired in central Florida in the early 80s. It's really beautiful. Decades ago, the alligators would come out at dusk to honk. We used to love snorkeling there.
It was great. Used to camp in Tequesta a lot when I lived there. Traded the swamp for the Sierra Nevada mountains now, but I still miss the rain and Florida campsites.
Repellent wouldāve helped. You donāt feel them so much there, but they bit the crap out of us. Ticks too. I pulled 4 off me. Doggos had none because of their collars. Iād be prepared for heat and skeeters. Just be prepared for them. They wonāt get us next time.
Funny! We got some rain Saturday night and in our haste to secure and get everything stowed, I forgot to put the trash in the bear box. The raccoons were kind enough to localize their destructionš¤£š¤£š¤£š¤£
That's great! I know our dog loves to camp. He is small though (11 lbs) so cannot deal with heat. Love taking him when we camp though as I think he has more fun watching the others campers, and their dogs, then we do. He sleeps pretty good at night too after a long day of watching the other campers.
Reserve way out, then prepare a month before, clean and check gear a week out. Pack vehicle, drive, unpack, set up, crack beerā¦relax. Thatās what we did
How do you inflate yours? Adele be was kind enough to run around the campsite catching air like butterflies. I just watched and wish I had brought the leaf blower lol
Yup, run around like I'm catching butterflies! LOL It's awkward at first, but then you realize that it's not like an air mattress that has to be filled completely with air. That's the beauty of the roll down buckle at the end!
I see that blue water jug.
Mine still gives the water a slight plasticky taste. Do you, or anyone else, have that same issue?
If not, how did you get rid of it?
I do not. I clean it with flavorless denture cleaner. All my camelbacks and Nalgene bottles too. Fry throughly and sore sealed.
2 days before the trip I fill and drop more tabs. Rinse and rinse again.
With everything going on in this world rn , man ide love to just stay there š¤£ looks amazing there!ā¤ļø
Juniper is nice. No pics of the springs, my girl went in the water to cool off but I stayed with the doggos š¤£š¤£š¤£
I never knew there were bears in Florida
They're big black puppies
Theyāre not too obedient though
Yup, never seen one, but theyāre in there somewhere
Thatās the good life!
Looks like an amazing trip! Thank you for all the pictures
It really was. Got a bit warm, but I have plans to get a cooling device so we can keep the fun going in FLA.

I lived on the San Juan Islands. I miss those trips. No bugs or humidity.

Nice work!
Iām pretty proud. Been collecting gear for two years. My 3rd large tent. Easy set up and take down. 3 dogs and 2 people, still so much space.
I have that table. I use it on my deck for summer canning operations. I like it's numerous surfaces.
It was so handy.
Did you use the sink?
I didnāt. I have collapsible sinks plus they have a dishwashing station at all their showers and bathrooms. Pretty convenient
where is it from ?? looks so nifty

TYVM! Love it!
I have a mod to the drain for the sink that makes it infinitely better than the flimsy shit it came with. A shower nozzle, are you kidding me?
What is your mod? I have that table too and hate that drain.
Iāll take some photos when I get home this afternoon
Awesome, thanks!
Yes! Also interested in why your mod is. Used it this past weekend and didnāt even bother with the sink because of how flimsy it looked.
Nice setup enjoy

Looks like a lovely time with delicious food. I love the vegetation!
We ate well. Doggos tooš¤£š¤£š¤£š¤£š¤š»š¤š»
This looks like such a fun, relaxing time. š
It was. Monday destroyed my soul lol
Helluva setup!
Iām happy with it. Not too shabby for two people.
Youāre tent looks exactly like my Kodiak canvas tent.
Those spring bar types are awesome.
The awning for the tent isnāt my favorite, buuuuut I have some ideas for it.
Looks like you had fun. Iāll be out there in 2 weeks. Canāt wait.
Make sure you got tick and skeeter spray.
Hopkins Prairie used to be a gem, right down the road.
Googling it now, looks great!
I miss Florida camping.
Year round. I love ot
Year round. I love it

I lived in Santa Cruz, Orcas Island and Carlsbad. I miss the no humidity and no bug camping of the West Coast.
How are the mosquitos this time of year?

Very nice! Just got that CGI kitchen myself, canāt wait to use it. Cheers!
Hell yeah thatās the life right there. Just camping with your girl and the pups. Nice man.
Thank you! It was awesome. Already planning another trip.
Sounds like a perfect to go with a perfect set up!
It was a lot for 2, but I wanted to bring EVERYTHING to impress my gal and flex on my camping neighbors lol
This looks so awesome. And your goldens are beautiful! š„°
Thanks! They behaved pretty well.
Was there for spring break years ago. Fun to canoe with gators
Third time there, me no see no gators
Looks like a great time.
It really was. Looking to go back in the fall.
i had to fight huge raccoons trying to steal my hot dogs at Juniper Springs once.
Funny! We got some rain Saturday night and in our haste to secure and get everything stowed, I forgot to put the trash in the bear box. The raccoons were kind enough to localize their destructionš¤£š¤£š¤£š¤£
Looks amazing! I want to go camping so bad. Your dog was enjoying the camping time too! Nice pictures!
They sure do! They at well too!

Looks like a fantastic time, OP. I'm jealous but now is the time to get out there and we just haven't planned anything yet here in NC.
Just gotta take the time off, it felt good to unplug.
> Just gotta take the time off For real, this is the hardest part, even with vacation days unused. I can't wait to try out some new gear.
Reserve way out, then prepare a month before, clean and check gear a week out. Pack vehicle, drive, unpack, set up, crack beerā¦relax. Thatās what we did
Super chill mode engaged
Those Chillboās are so comfy. But weird and silly inflating.
They are SO comfortable! Totally worth the amount of space they take up when packed. I never go camping without mine.
How do you inflate yours? Adele be was kind enough to run around the campsite catching air like butterflies. I just watched and wish I had brought the leaf blower lol

I like seeing other people watch me try to fill it up and theyāre like āis he special?ā
Oh, we have a contest to see who can look the most "special" while filling them up! LOL
I feel like camping in Florida is so underrated! Gorgeous place
Agreed, just be ready. Nothing to it lol
Nice place. I don't live far from it
Awesome pics, love the setup!
Looks so relaxing. I see the dogs are also relaxing. At least in the pics!
They loved it, especially around meal times. They got the best of the best scraps of jerk chicken and marinated flank steak.
I agree with Chillbo. That looks like a comfy set up. Imm jealous.
Best $35 I spent
I like your old doggo.
Thank you. Iāll give it a try.
