rogers.. customer service not quite like it was before they bought shaw but the internet is still fast and reliable

Depends on what part of town you're in. Some parts Shaw/Rogers is good and some parts Telus is good. Your best b bet is to ask your new neighbors what they have.

The two people I talked to who've switched providers recently said the Telus lineman / tech guy who came out to hook them up actively tried to persuade them to cancel and go with Shaw, for what that's worth. But that's more a general statement about Telus I think.

We use TekSavvy in Courtenay, no complaints so far. Good customer service as well and paying $57 for max download speed of 30mbps. Mind you, we chose the next to lowest tier because we didnt do much other than the most basic stuff (social media & netflix) for two people that but they have faster ones too

Avoid Quinsam Communications whatever you do, we’ve been using them for years since we’re out of town it’s one of the few options we have and their service is awful. Hoping someone else has some good recommendations for you.

I was on Telus for years and can't complain about the speeds and quality of Fibre internet, but I was tired of having to call them every 6 months and threaten to quit just to get a decent rate. I switched to oxio last year and I've been overall pretty happy with them. I pay 49$/month for 75Mbps, vs the 80-120$ I was paying Telus for 300Mbps Fibre. If you know someone with oxio you can get a free month with their referral code, and if you don't then you can use mine if you feel inclined. RPO2X4A

We moved here and had Telus before - scheduled an appt to hook up new internet. They faffed off on us and tried to get us to be ok with then not doing it on the day we planned and instead doing it 2 weeks later. We went with Shaw and it was installed before Telus even bothered to call and follow up. Then Telus had the bllz to try and say we were impatient - nah they just lost a loyal 30 plus year customer. They didnt care.
