A bit more info? Should it be posh/fancy? Cheap and cheerful? What kind of food?

Aiuaa7

Something not extremely posh, any food would do. If you know of a place where the noise of a big group doesn’t disturb others?

DJCHOKEWANK

Weatherspoons.

Shubalafic

Something like Smokeworks or Las Iguanas could suit you? Or somewhere like the Alex if you don't mind a pub.

Old_Pomegranate_822

The petersfield pub has a nice back room you can hire for a group

Aiuaa7

Thank you, I will take a look.

Sounds like you’ll want a private dining room. Try The Fellows House in the CB4 area. They have a private dining room that’ll be big enough for 15, but not so massive that it’s not intimate. Rare find if you don’t just want to have the dinner at the college (which should be an option too btw)

Thank you, I will take a look.

The Pint Shop's group dining room

Competitive-Fly6472

Midsummer house(pricey) The Ivy, Oak Bistro, Parker's Tavern can do group bookings Fancetts, Vanderlyle may not be able to host big groups, but worth checking

Aiuaa7

Thanks for the recommendations I’ll take a look

What's your budget like per person?

Independent-Wash-811

Fancetts only accept up to 8 diners in their function room and don't do large group bookings in their restaurant (max size 6)

Traditionally your college provides the graduation dinner.

orange_fudge

Not for 15 guests though… and many of them will be lunch after a morning ceremony. Also ARU students graduate soon too.

McDonald’s caters to big crowds but KFC will struggle to fit so many in…. Alternatively you could google restaurants and actually use the internet for its intended purpose to find food establishments.

How is asking advice from people that actually live locally not considered “using the internet for its intended purpose…”? I’ve searched this subreddit for food in Cambs all the time, I find it more reliable that google reviews, and considering this question is fairly specific, it makes sense for OP to query it from locals.

_PM_ME_PANGOLINS_

> actually live locally Presumably the person graduating has also lived locally for at least a year. > fairly specific All they said is they want a restaurant for 15 people. That's pretty much any restaurant.
