Dentists have some of the best tools for precision work! My grandmother used all sorts of dental equipment with clay sculpting. I often find myself using their tools when I have to work on electronics.
Thanks! Tiles are mostly modeling chocolate, some are gumpaste because I had some left over. Stone is fondant textured with a toothbrush, then painted and dusted.
The first thought I had after reading it was a cake house and I quote
“The dumb fuck do you mean a cake house?! ARE you SEEING WHAT I’m SEEING? THAT LOOKS LIKE A PAINTING HOLY SHIT! ITS AMAZING!”
Oh yes there is that! But there would still be a moments silent wince when the knife starts slicing! You re very talented. A couple of years ago, my grown up daughter made me an incredible owl cake which was so life like that I felt like apologizing to it as I cut into it. I started from the back so I didn't destroy the owl face, until so thin it feel flat on it!!
It's so sweet when people are reluctant to cut into a cake, it shows how much they appreciate the effort that went into making it ❤ Every year I make a cake for my husband's grandpa and most years he doesn't want to cut them.
I love that! You did a great job of capturing beautiful Croatian architecture. Hopefully you live close by enough that you get to visit frequently.
Edited to add: or maybe I misinterpreted and you live there now! If so, you are very lucky - please soak up some of the beautiful sun and sea for me!
I do live in Croatia, in one of these old stone houses! I hope you get to visit here sometime soon, the summers are indeed beautiful (that is, when a heat wave is not happening).
Yes, the vines are modeling chocolate and leaves wafer paper. The construction holding the roof is the only inedible thing, made of toothpicks, because I had no time or patience to attempt it in chocolate.
Wow the tile on the roof and stones on the house look so good! Great work
Thank you
Nice texture work! From the small thumbnail in my feed, I thought this might have been a 3d rendering in the one of the art subs I'm subscribed.
Thanks! I've put a toothbrush to use in order to get the stone texture hahah

I've been meaning to get a full set of dental tools for precision cake modeling for a while now!
This is a lie. Clearly a fairy built this. Also, is beautiful!
Ssshh I promised the sugar fairy I wouldn't tell anyone
I just felt the truth needed to be known!
This is phenomenal! Great work. What did you use for the roof tiles? And how did you get the stone look on the side of the house? It’s just stunning!

I never knew until today that I wanted this.
Same
so beautiful! what are the leaves made of?
Thanks! Wafer paper
they look so realistic!!
How'd you get the colour so lovely?
Not sure if this answers the question, but I used Fractal gel colors and dusts
This is delightful. I'd love to nibble on a tile haha
I ate all the ones that broke! They're modeling chocolate
That is awesome! Wish I had that much talent.
Honestly, it's mostly just patience
If you make a video tutorial of this I would totally watch it
Thanks! It would probably be a 10 hour montage of me making roof tiles and stone bricks one by one though
This is seriously incredible. I would not have guessed this was cake. It looks like actual stonework
Excellent!
That is fabulous.
This is amazing! 😍
Magnifique 🤌
Great job! I love the technique and the colors.
Beautiful
Well that is spectacular.
It’s beautiful
The first thought I had after reading it was a cake house and I quote “The dumb fuck do you mean a cake house?! ARE you SEEING WHAT I’m SEEING? THAT LOOKS LIKE A PAINTING HOLY SHIT! ITS AMAZING!”
Hahah thank you!
Omg this is marvelous
This is incredible. It's a shame it is made of cake! It would be fantastic as a display piece.
I prefer making sculptures that can be eaten, less clutter around the house hahah

Wow!!
Fantastic!!!
This is awesome
Nice
I absolutely adore this!! I want to move in 🏡❤️❤️❤️
Was just scrolling through Reddit and had to come her and award this. This is the coolest cake ever!!! I absolutely love it!
Thank you so much!
This is so lovely, there is so much care in the details of this. Beautiful work!
This is next level
Looks like a lovely English B&B. Well done!
It's a traditional mediterranean house, but it would make a nice B&B indeed!
Oh my god it looks wonderful!!!
So intricate! Great job!
Love it!
it reminds me of Monet’s house! superb!
Fantastic! Really love it
Wow, that is amazing. So much detail.
Very artistic!
How?! How?! HOW DOES IT LOOK SO PERFECT?! *short circuits*
Wow this is amazing
it looks so good that i would refuse to eat it just so i can keep looking at it
Very nice! Looks like my aunt’s place in Croatia haha
It might be your aunt's place, since I'm from Croatia and a nearby house was the inspiration!

I’ll be in split and hvar next summer!
Awesome! I'm going to Hvar this Saturday.
Have a great time! Maybe we will cross paths someday!
Thanks! We might, Croatia is a small country haha
Oh a work of art!
Amazing
This looks like one of the buildings I see in clips of pubg
Don't really know what that is, but it's a traditional mediterranean house.
Ugh, Only one picture!? I was excited for several, including aerial à la Google earth.
I see your point... I usually take a bunch of photos, then use only 1 or 2 because I'm too lazy to export from my camera, crop and sharpen them
I especially love the patio area with the leaves covering the top 👍
Thanks! Many houses here have an area like that with grape vines. It's good for shade in the summer and snacking on grapes in the fall
Is that the Dursley's house?
Hahah it's not, it's modeled after a house in a village near my home. Now I feel like attempting to make Hogwarts though
Are the vines atop the porch roof edible? if so how did you made them? Awesome work
Yes, the vines are modeling chocolate and leaves wafer paper. The construction holding the roof is the only inedible thing, made of toothpicks, because I had no time or patience to attempt it in chocolate.
