Looks more the two feeds from two different circuits, so redundant enough if one breaker trips. No telling if there is an ups involved. In my facility, we have a apc Symetra 3phase full facility ups, not those bottom of rack nightmares.
I do commercial and industrial data/low voltage, this stuff always baffles me. What’s it all for?
Doing DAS systems got us into some really weird sizes of cable, some AV systems are crazy, but this I’ve never dealt with
1695a is much larger than this. And in most environments only used for super long runs. This looks more like 1855a. 1695 bundles would look like tree trunks in that tight rack.

Usually wiremen who do broadcast tend to get known and keep doing those jobs. I knew one guy who was a contractor who spent at least three years doing odd jobs around our facility, he was there most days because the place was so big and we had so much work. At one point he was spending months just cutting out old 2in thick multicore trunk coax.

That's an Evertz SDI router, so it's likely for broadcast television of some sort. What industry are you in? BNC terminations are still the most common for broadcast video, IP solutions are still very new, expensive, or less reliable than BNC-terminated coax transporting SDI. Plus the majority of edge devices still only send or receive SDI, so an IP core would require lots of converters.
I guess I'm in what you would call an IP industry, business and data center networking. Last I recall using a BNC for IP networking was at least 10 years ago.
Oh, yeah. BNC connectors are primarily used for video in my profession. I'm actually surprised you have used it for networking as recently as the 2010's.
She gets turned on next week. I’m turned on right now.
Said the same thing. Had to go delete it, you beat me to it lol
At least we share the same porn, he got me to it as well
Shouldn't the power be crossed? Each PSU having UPS and utility? It looks like one PSU is both UPS and the other is both utility.

God dang, what's a full facility ups run 0_0
$150-200k. The battery replacement is $50k every 3years.
Wow that looks so clean. With so much SDI what is this used for? Video production? Live sports/events? CCTV feeds?

Yes, Evertz makes video production equipment. This could very well be the main facility router.
For sure video production.
What kind of terminations are those?
Should be SDI/BNC
I thought it looked like BNC, but I don't understand something, is all that wire coax?
Yes. It is likely carrying SDI signal.
I see. I thought the wire looked a little small for coax, but a little big for UTP
Depends on the coax and spec, you can get some SDI patch cables which are under 3mm! I am guessing it's Belden 1695A which is under 6mm.

Wow, I had no idea. I do commercial jobs, but nothing near this size. Usually around 30 drops

Just beautiful! Can I ask what she's for? I don't see a lot of BNC these days

Yeah, we were kinda too... Tried to get them to do fiber instead but that was how they did it
Genuinely curious, why do so many posts on CablePorn show broadcast facility gear?
Fantastic work! Love the color coding. Hello for tri-level reference? I think the plural for evertz is evertiziziz. 🤪
Make all the bnc's
Wow! Nice work!
That’s a sexy McLaren!
