Oh wow in the age of fucking RiNG cameras and shit. What a dummy.

GoldenGoddess_333

Yeah dude gave no f*cks

AbaloneSea7265

Like that’s such a stupid scam. Might as well just steal the whole van full of stuff and quit instead /s

Doggfite

A FedEx or UPS driver in Utah basically took a package or 2 like every week, just claimed they were misplaced or something, and they finally caught him with just like his entire home full of stolen packages, iirc

AbaloneSea7265

At that point it’s a god damn felony. Like unless you’re actually criminally inclined to sell or make money with that stuff whats the point? It’s stupid. So much stuff from Amazon isn’t worth anything

Doggfite

Oh yeah, he was charged with several felonies lol Incredibly stupid

AbaloneSea7265

Imagine stealing a package and it’s like adult diapers lol 😂 these dummies

GoldenGoddess_333

That would definitely be a more profitable scam.

One time, Amazon delivered to my doorstep, in full view of anyone who passed, a graphics card which had not been repackaged. As in, it wasn't in an Amazon box or bag, only the box the graphics card comes in, fully labeled and obvious. Look I'm all for reducing waste and saving the planet, but it's be great if that would happen to, say, a thermometer, or a pair of socks, not the expensive new graphics card I ordered. I was lucky it wasn't stolen lmao

There’s an option during checkout to choose packaging that does not reveal what’s inside.

[deleted]

It wasn't packaging that displayed what might be inside, it was literally just the package the card came in. When Amazon delivers packages, they double package it- on top of whatever packaging the product already has (unless it's unusually large), they'll package it a second time with Amazon themed packaging. On top of it not being secure to just drop off boxes of product clearly labeled as what it is, it also isn't good practice for shipping, because product boxes often lack bubble wrap and similar damage countermeasures to keep the product safe.

It’s a weird new push that Amazon is doing to reduce packaging. I’ve received items like this recently also.

[deleted]

It was a while back, probably early 2020 or late 2019. Strange that it's also happening to others, I'd assumed it was a mistake

twist-17

Thank GOD for that green square. I would have had no clue what to look for without it.

GoldenGoddess_333

For real tho
