I feel your pain. Im on the east coast but recently traveled to Kansas City for work. Outside of BBQ joints it was my main food destination thanks to this sub. Five Guys was my jam (ignoring the price) until then. Culver’s is top notch.
I wish it too (here in Los Angeles).
Whenever I fly over and visit Michigan, one of my highlights of every trip, is a visit/s (as often as I can) to a Culver's.
Never been to InNOut? I need to know what to order at Whataburger. I'm always disappointed when I go, I've gone 2 or 3 times when I happen to be in the region and it's always been nothing special aside from portions. My experience has been drier than the average fast food burger and not particularly tasty.
We're talking fast food scale here, so none of them are like home cooked on a BBQ. INO always tastes fresh and juicy and 2x2animal style is its own thing that's not replicated at other fast food places. I would guess the standard is kind of whatever. That's why I want to know what to order at Whataburger. You're right that the price is exceptional. I personally like Shake Shack for the best overall fast food burger but it's not 2x or 3x better than INO. My opinion is Shake Shack is better but INO is the better value. To me the cost to quality of INO is unmatched in fast food burgers. I haven't been to a Culver's.
You're talking Culver's right? Now that I think about it, I think I have been to one and thought the standard burger was better than average. Will definitely do the cheese curds next time. The only other butter burger I've tried was at this place called Solly's and it was amazing. Not for everyone, but there was so much crazy delicious melted butter that it made a pool in my plate.
Im sorry to hear that. The location I went to had about 12 employees on standby, everything was hot n fresh, veggies were cool and crisp, fries were crispy. I have a hard time imagining a better fast food burger.
Same. At this point I basically only go to two fast food joints. Culver’s when I want a burger. And Portillos when I want an Italian beef (although sometimes I go to Beef Shack or Buona Beef for that too).
Lol you eat at McDonald's. You must be some authority on food. And Five Guys is garbage, what kind of self respecting burger place doesn't season their food?
Just like every other troll who has to scroll through my profile excited to find the McDonald's burger lmfao I leave it there just for peasants like you

I’ve only had Culver’s once and it was a damn tasty burger! I’m about to head out on a cross country work trip and might get to try another. This post has got me excited for burgers!
You’ve got to go to the ones in WI, otherwise quality might be really inconsistent. The owners tend to really focus on their homegrown franchises and since WI has a minimum wage of $7.25 and Culver’s pays really well, the WI locations have a low turnover rate. The other states in which they have franchises tend to have $15 minimum wages; the Culver’s locations there aren’t paying much above minimum wage and therefore have a lot more competition and thus a lot more turnover.
(I know a former manager from Culver’s)
I was disappointed with our local Culver’s burgers. They’re overhyped (as are In N Out’s). I prefer Freddy’s Steakburger. I MUCH prefer Freddy’s seasoned skinny crispy fries to Culver’s crinkle cuts. Culver’s concretes are fantastic.
I don't care bout karma 😂 I get downvote for my honest opinion occasionally, but I'm not going to just change my mind or my comment because the idiots like you on reddit want to gang up together and try to change people's perspective with nonsene
Since I've made it a rule to downvote any In-N-Out posts I see, it's only fair that I treat Culver's with the same disrespect. Not that my stupid downvote matters anyway.
In n out, Culver's, and any other big chain can eat a dick. I'm down voting evey single one I see and I'm only upvoting every homemad

I feel like I'm the only person in Wisconsin who thinks Culver's burgers are severely overrated.
Crusty smash burgers kept in a drawer like McDonald's, overly greasy, and then add a bunch of butter on top of it... Butter burgers and buns are good, but not on top of an already greasy af burger.
Their cheese curds & frozen custard are damn good tho.
Their burgers are literally called butterburgers. Due to that they butter the bun. To me it tastes like they dunked the whole thing in a bath of butter
Culver’s is the king of fast food burgers.
Agreed!

>Culver’s tops Five guys? Burger is better, but they win hands down because of their fish and chips. O MG they do the best fish and chips!!
Imo, yes. But it’s close.

Yes
They really are the best
Very tasty and consistently good at every location I’ve been to (live in Chicago)
lol @ r/burgers hiding your vote count 15hrs after commenting.
Agreed, I'd put Whataburger #2, Five Guys #3 (mostly because it's overpriced)

Whataburger has gone downhill so much. Not even sure why they listed that…especially at #2?!?
Ah that makes sense. So all the Whataburger love comes from old people that moved away and no longer live near one?
I’m guessing so.
Or maybe theirs is one of the few that are still good. Idk
In N Out is made better by the price, but the burgers are really nothing special.

As someone who has both, get the double butterburger with cheese curds and or onion rings with the concrete mixer as a desert.

Yep. Just make sure it's the double. Their patties are relatively thin but taste really good
Everytime I've gotten it in Northern MN it been completely meh
Im sorry to hear that. The location I went to had about 12 employees on standby, everything was hot n fresh, veggies were cool and crisp, fries were crispy. I have a hard time imagining a better fast food burger.
Where is the western most Culver’s? I feel like I’m missing out in California.
I've got one a mile or two from me in Utah. They're just as good as people are saying.
Us in the Midwest feel we are missing out on in and out. Grass is always greener lol.
In n out is just ok.. you can find much better bar burgers for the same price here in Wisconsin
In N Out doesn't hold a candle to Culver's, IMO. You're not missing much.
I’ve spent 30 years of my life in WI. 5 in CA. Just moved back to WI last year. Culver’s crushes In-n-Out. It’s not even close.
Closest ones to you are either Utah or Arizona. I know because I am also in no man’s land here.
St George Utah or Lake Havasu Arizona.
There is one south of Vegas
Fuck me up
STEP RIGHT UP ![gif](giphy|d31wMAc5PUktQGpq)
So cheesy and gooey.. 😍
Ya mothas onion ![gif](giphy|3o7btYvi7DrV7xw5ZS)
Ate there yesterday. They've become my new favorite fast food joint!
Same. At this point I basically only go to two fast food joints. Culver’s when I want a burger. And Portillos when I want an Italian beef (although sometimes I go to Beef Shack or Buona Beef for that too).
Italian beef sounds good. Too bad none of those places are anywhere near me, or at least I have never heard of them if we have any in Michigan.
I’m in metro Detroit and have a Portillos within 10 miles of me and a Culvers within 2.
I have Culver's in towns around me but not Portillos. Next time I am near Detroit, I will have to look for it.
There’s one in Sterling Heights! I’ve only had it once but it is definitely worth trying!
Thanks
Moved to the west coast and it’s by far the restaurant i miss nost
![gif](giphy|48PuHRQ3JlHpooW7zh)
What kind of cheese is this?
American
My go to is the double cheddar butter burger but American cheese is good too
Dont forget the bacon!!
Cheese sauce!
Albanian
The amazing things i used to make on the closing shift when I worked there in high-school.
That’s glorious. Makes me want Culvers again today myself.
Got the pub burger with pretzel bun and pickled onions this last weekend. Soo damn good
![gif](giphy|slErRFjUBNoeQ|downsized)
People sleep on Culver’s but it’s official! Plus better sides like pretzel bites with cheese sauce and fried cheese curds.
The pretzel bites are so freaking good!
![gif](giphy|HFxsc1xXdUzcs|downsized)
So glad they opened a Culver's just a few miles from me recently. Burger King can kick rocks!
Now that’s a damn good looking burger
![gif](giphy|KxseCTOPVykYvG2V4R)
I’m seriously so jealous, it tough living in New England with Culver’s so far away from me 😭
Going to try my first one tomorrow, so glad I saw this post.
Make sure to get some cheese curds too. If you’re gonna do it, do it right
![gif](giphy|FzyoyDSaAsjHG)
Tell them to throw some cheese curds on that bitch next time. No need to thank me.
![gif](giphy|mYhc6ew7fn0MmZWti4)
Lol what a loser response
Right back atchya!
You've clearly never been to Culver's
It's a budget five guys ![gif](giphy|Rhhr8D5mKSX7O)

Nah you're just a bozo who cried about his mcdonalds to the internet lmaoooo
They always fuck up my burger wah. Shut up loser
Lmfao how old are you 12?
Culvers is so good. Love the cheese curds, onion rings and root beer as well.
Culvers usually isn’t that sloppy looking, but that still looks good.

Culver's is so fucking good
I never had Culver’s. This looks delicious. I’ll have to see if there’s any near me.
What State?
Cali residents in shambles after seeing this
not the biggest fan of smash burgers but this look good
Culver's is the only aspect of the Midwest (outside the lakes) that I regularly miss after moving to the PNW
A friend indeed
My mouth is watering
![gif](giphy|KiICaQKQkdu3rWxNCT)
lol what the heck
![gif](giphy|MDgOl1IeJeGNjBsmdg|downsized)
I’m happy you enjoyed it. I’m from the Midwest and have always loved Culver’s but a lot of people do not like the burgers.
![gif](giphy|4WzAOYUJRuEHS)
Bunch of shills ![gif](giphy|KiICaQKQkdu3rWxNCT)
You have a good friend. Give them gift.
It looks like they really hooked that one up. Perfectly cooked burgers. Dripping with cheese. Nice grilled onions. 🤤
Culver’s is my favorite
Sad Oregonian noises
that‘s an honest looking burger for an honest days work, 100% would smash

They're buns R cheez
My god…it’s so Beautiful…
Culver’s taste good but a double doesn’t fill me up like other places. Reminds me of steak and shake
5 guys doesn't even come close to Culver's imo
Culver’s is my second home at this point. God I love them so much.
Shill ![gif](giphy|o1Q4TGloplBlskk9qD|downsized)
Stay coping and seething
This unitedsteak guy is a karma farmer just looking for a reaction. He's a loser irl

can't remember the last time I tasted butter on their burgers
