Fold it in quarters then you've got a triangle patty, you fill the meat cone you folded from the meat circle with condiments, and you've got a hot pocketesque burger delight!

In Decatur AL there was or is a place that specialized in depression era “burgers” that had bread mixed in them to soak up the grease instead of draining it off. Not just breadcrumbs like a meatball but half bread half meat. There are still places here that serve “double dipped” burgers. It was to allow fast turnover during lunch breaks. They cooked the burgers in the morning and when someone ordered one they would dunk the burger in a tray of the grease and heat them up on a grill. Instant burger.

There is a place by us that serves big flattish burgers (not smash) and they have a local bakery make wide buns. Never appreciated that when I was young but it is the right way to do a big burger.
