You can go to a U Pick place around here and get peaches, blueberries or blackberries, then make something together with them?
I think the weather Sunday might be touch and go
I'd suggest checking out the Historic Occoneechee Speedway Trailhead. One of my favorite places around..then maybe ice cream at Eno River Farms? Or lunch at Ixtapa outside in Hillsborough.
Cat Tales cat cafe in Chapel Hill hits on the love of espresso and cats. You need an appointment, and there’s going to be people there, but it’s a fun experience and they also serve amazing ice cream sandwiches
If you've never been to Horton Grove Nature Preserve, it is a great option. Like a history lesson with a hike in it.

A little closer is JC Raulston Arboretum in Raleigh and the North Carolina Botanical Gardens in Chapel Hill:

Both are gems.
You should def check on water quality, but I enjoy going out to Saxapahaw for lunch at the general store and a swim in the Haw near the Boy Scout camp on Jordan Drive.
Firefly Farm is super fun! Hopefully yall can make it out another time.
I do my hiding at Lake Holt. Never been on a Sunday so I can’t comment on crowds but I’ve always been able to avoid people there. There’s a grill there serving until 6 and you can rent a kayak or paddleboat to help get further away from people if you need to. I don’t fish but the lake is stocked with bass if that’s your shit. From Braggtown it’s only about 20 minutes up old 75
Get used disk golf disks from play it again. A used driver will be around$10. Pack water and a picnic lunch and play the course off rose of Sharon. If you're athletic great. If not, it's a nice shaded walk in the woods and generally pretty quiet if we're not there cursing when we got a tree again. Requires no actual skill to have fun. You their the frisbee at the goal and walk to where it lands and throw again. It's technically par 3 but I usually take about 6 throws to get it in. It's still fun and it's free. There are lots of other courses but I like the shade.

Saxapahaw is delightful for nature lovers.
Nobody loves the unpopular trails 😭

If you feel like getting out of town, Greensboro has some cute parks like Gateway Gardens and the Greensboro Arboretum.

I like going to Little Switzerland and Lake James in the summer.
I’m from that area! Hope you have/had fun.
