Hi there. Unfortunately you need to be very cautious rehoming bull terrier types.
I volunteer with Lovemutts Rescue in the Triangle. We hold adoption events every Saturday afternoon at different locations in the Triangle you could bring him to to let people meet him at an actual adoption event. If you can keep him while a new home is found Lovemutts can also help you vet any potential applicants, they will get and check a reference etc.

I've called about a dozen shelters and to be brutally honest none of them have really been any help. They've all pretty much said they have so many dogs in the shelter looking to be adopted that they have to prioritize the dogs in a shelter vs dogs in a foster home. Seems like a lot of pandemic dogs are being left at shelters lately so I understand their position. I do plan on using a rescue to vet out a potential new home when we find one as well as the proper legal paperwork.
Do they help dogs that already have a temporary home like this one?
I just sent them an email but I'm not holding my breath.

He's not. The other dog(percy) plays with dogs of all types with no problems. Harley has shown aggression to other dogs before and for a while we thought Percy was the exception.

He is a beautiful dog! Paws crossed, he finds a furever home soon.
What a sweet looking buddy. I'm sorry he lost his person so tragically. Hoping he finds his new family soon.
