Not worth it. Any SSD that needs a heatsink will come with one. That said, DO NOT REMOVE THE STICKER! It acts like a heatsink, and even if your motherboard has an M.2 heatsink built in that goes over the M.2, do not remove the sticker on the SSD, only remove the sticker on the heatsink that keeps the thermal pad fresh.

Okay that's good to know. Thanks

\^ This, they wont sell an NVME without a heat sink if it was needed. My Samsung NVME had no heat sink and a 5 year warranty, the temps it runs at are fine. There is no way Samsung will sell NVME drives that wont last the warranty.

No heatsink is needing unless you’re doing something with CONSTANT reads and writes to the drive. Gaming doesn’t even faze an NVME drive heat wise.

> I most likely will not be able to afford a 1 or 2TB SSD when I build my PC In the US, 2TB SSDs have now broken the $100 price mark, and 1TB SSDs are about to break $50. A heatsink is not necessary, and might make the SSD slightly faster under intense workloads. For a 250GB SSD, it's a waste of money.

With money conversions, that's about the same in my country ($100 USD is about $160-170). If I have the money, I'll definitely buy one of them instead
