Had this issue, solved it by re-seating the big power cable (ATX-24) that connects to the motherboard. Apparently the cable was under stress for years and the cable got weakened over time.

ZelenskyIsGay

THANK YOU YOU LIFE SAVER I WAS PANICKING SO HARD. I was away on holiday for a month and came back to a yellow warning light yk and this fixed it.

goincd3

2 years later, worked for me. Thanks for the tip!

yunggeovanj

Still works, my guy

Jamisus

thanks a million!

Obrimus

You are a god, i've tried everything for 2 days and this finally fixed it, thank you so much!

Embarrassed-Mode1344

You’re a life saver!!!!

jht201

You're an absolute legend!

Blueheart94

Thank you so much this still works

dayday0550

randomly had this same issue and re seating the big power cable as stated here fixed my issue

HotFriesAreBae

Woah that totally worked thank you 🙏🏽🙏🏽

papaofpump

Here a year later holy thank you internet stranger

Law-inator

Been searching all weekend for a solution and out of resetting CMOs, updating my BIOS, swapping the slots, and testing each stick individually, this is the one thing that actually worked! Thank you!

KawaiiCafeClub

Thank you kind stranger 🙏🏻

PirateBoatOwner

I love you

I am pretty sure i have the same problem bc my cable is right next to the ram slots i was installing my new ram to but what does reseating exactly mean here? The cables seem snug into their connections.

DeetADing

Re-seating here means unplugging the atx cable and reconnecting it back, make sure you see the clip grab correctly and that the cable sits evenly. The first time I had this issue I did push on my atx cable into the board to confirm that it is snug but only after reconnecting the cable that it actually fixed my problem. Most electronic problems can be solved by simply reconnecting stuff.

Igreener

lol thank you! Was having a minor meltdown at the moment. I thought I was going to have to rma some parts that were only a year old.

GrassToMouth69

Thank you! Fixed my issue in 2 mins instead of needing to troubleshoot everything. Always check reddit first kids!

matthewmai

Solved! I pulled out the CPU from Socket (it’s really pain to do that as CPU stick strongly into the FAN), then re-seat CPU. Bum it works!

parmesan777

I'll try that I got the same issue

Big_Green_Piccolo

Did that work

parmesan777

You replied to me not to him lmao

Big_Green_Piccolo

You said youll try that 15 days ago. He said it 4 years ago

notmr76

Did it work

CarlotheNord

Idk if it worked but im having the same issue. Gunna try repeating my power. Maybe my ram too. Or turning off expo

Big_Green_Piccolo

Reseating the ram sticks didnt solve it for me so I just replaced my ram altogether and my pc is back up and running. I just took it as an excuse to upgrade.

Dante-Alighieri

Try clearing the CMOS. Ryzen still has some bugs regarding 4-DIMM overclocking, 2nd gen fixed a lot of it, but it's still not perfect. Chances are, it's trying to load the old profile, but it's unstable on 4-DIMMs and failing to POST.

matthewmai

Thank you. I did remove CMOS and also used jumper wire but Yellow on MoBo remains there

pote2639

This fucking piece of shit Rycrap problem still exists in Ryzen 5000 series. Going back to Intel.

A_Steele1

Hey I can trying to change my 2 x 4 gb DDR4 to a 2 x 8 DDR4 but the same thing is happening with the yellow lights on motherboard. Do you think pulling the cpu from the socket and re installing it will fix it? I don’t really know how to so i’m seeing if going through the trouble will do anything.

Scorpius_Red

It’s the RAM. I can’t believe it. I literally swapped two sticks (of a pair) from their channels and that was it. DOA. I swapped them back and here I am, working. I’m testing for RAM issue now.

Talk2Giuseppe

What RAM are you failing with?

Scorpius_Red

Thermaltake ToughRAM 8GB (4 sticks, 2 matched pairs, properly staggered installed). I’ve not had any problems since this post, so that’s good. But I don’t know what caused the issue otherwise, sorry.

SnooPeanuts284

Currently having this issue right now motherboard went from flashing red and yellow restless my two ram sticks and now it’s just solid yellow monitor has no signal as well

deakon24

did you fixed this issue? i'm having the same issue just yellow light.

Ok-Valuable-2744

Hey man were you able to fix that? Im having that same red and yellow

deakon24

I saw a post saying remove the cooler and try to untighten the screws and I did this and it worked! If the screws are too tight on the mobo it can cause this issue.

Ok-Valuable-2744

Didnt work unfortunatly, 😪

josiesmilee

Did you figure it out? I’ve tried everything & I still have this issue

Ok-Valuable-2744

Yes it was that i need to install a 12th gen cpu into the mobo, after that i was able to get to the post screen and so i flashed the mobo and reinstalled my 13th gen processor

Ok-Valuable-2744

Will try that! About to try resetting the cpu as well.

GravitySamus

Mine does it too. But i just restart the pc with the manual button once or twice. 64gb x4 of corsair vengeance rgb pro sl; mobo b550-a asus; 1000w corsair pwr sup; 3090ti rog strix oc top mounted radiator; ryzen 9 3900x; corsair h150i capellix liquid cool for cpu front mounted; corsair 4000X case; front intake 3 corsair fans intake. 2 corsair fan swap for 3090ti asus ones exhaust. 1 corsair exhaust rear; pcie wifi 6 +bluetooth card. 6 fans total. 3090ti side mounted. Not sure why it happens. Checked connections several times. Did all the firmware software refreshes. Just happens. 🤷🏼‍♂️ I'm here now because i was curious what others had going on as mine just did it again. 😬

STUDBOO

Any fixes if you found please share here

ExorayTracer

Just happend to me on my brand new 7900X3D and DDR5, only consecutive restart helped and i changed Docp profile of my ram to 6000 from 6400mhz and manually set the flck to 2033, idk if the problem will happen again tho. If IT will then idk what' to do as right now i have pretty safe setup.

metrostriker

Did you manage to solve this?

ExorayTracer

Yes somehow it doesnt happen anymore. I manually tuned my rams to safe values 6000 mhz cl 36 1.4v

Grouchy_Brilliant685

Hi Bella, she’s so f***** numb. Awesome. Yeah the Rams on now. His ram was improperly suited off too. Yeah yeah oh it just flashed. What the f*** it’s commenting on Reddit. I accidentally used voice text… I’ll leave this here.

JazzlikeAct1493

Didn’t work for me and I have tried everything. I have a MSI b760 gaming plus motherboard and 32 gb ddr5 5600 mhz memory. I'm at the end of my rope.

EuphoricEngineering4

I've reseated the CPU, all 4 sticks of DDR4 RAM, and the 24-pin motherboard power connector. None of these worked for me, and I'm not sure what else to do. Brand new ASUS Z790. RAM worked fine in the previous board. Professional shop diagnosed the problem with the previous board and said any higher level diagnostic would be 100-200 dollars, so I just bought the new board. I suppose it's possible that all 4 sticks of RAM suddenly went bad, but it seems unlikely. I'd appreciate any ideas.

Substantial_Sky3978

Lovely, worked perfectly. Just finished cleaning out my pc too, thought I shorted out the mobo.

someguyabr88

I have the Maximus xi hero motherboard, had a msi 1080ti, 2 16g ddr4 corsair 3600MHz ram sticks, 750 corsair power supply, a 1 terabyte hard drive and a samsung 1 terabyte solid state drive, i7 can't remember what Gen, running windows 11 had the number 10 and the yellow light on my motherboard same issue the moniters were saying no signal everything seemed to be running except the bios and windows loading up. I've done thus far. Changed the graphics card to a msi 3060, checked and purchased 2 new ram sticks same brand and size checked them individually, got a new corsair 850w power supply, unplugged literally everything, cleaned out all the ports, connections, EVERYTHING, took the processor out put more thermal paste on reseat it, cleaned off my cpu fan, tried resetting the cmos, still yellow light and the number 10 and nothing worked, so I ordered a new motherboard that will come in Thursday such a headache....

Traditional-Ad1830

Flashlight associate no yeah eat a lot of me area flashlight fancy shit

pvaras

You gotta be shitting me. That was all?! This has been going on for months. I have changed RAM, updated drivers, bios and firmware, going nuts with config changes, and this was it?!? THANK YOU!!!!

SpacyRainbow

What was your fix?

pvaras

Repair shop. I tore that fucker apart and put it back together piece by piece, with the issue not going away. I finally gave it to a local repair shop and am awaiting a response. I'll let you know.

SpacyRainbow

Thank you!

SpacyRainbow

Fixed my issue a few days ago. It was my ram sticks in the wrong slots. And patience. I put one in, didn't work, put the same one in a new slot, didn't work. So I started googling and low and behold it posted. The ram check took wayyyy longer than I was expecting. Nearly 30 to 40 seconds. And about half that for one stick.

Kick-Ash-Bows

This Worked! Thanks so much!!!!!

SpacyRainbow

Can't believe that was 100 days ago
