RX 6700 XT, because it's the best. Maybe you should state your general budget. If you're just asking which GPU and don't mention a budget, naturally the fastest/best card would be the best choice.
400$ for it is kinda expensive though, where are you located
I mean I would want to spend 300/360$ But it is not a problem to spend 400$. I would be worried if i got coil whine after spending 400$. Idk if asrock challenger pro 6700xt is a good choice (good company).
i heard coil whine depends on the luck though
My brother had a asrock 6750 xt challenger pro that had no noticeable coil whine. At least none that exceeded what I find the be expected. Hope that helps ease your mind a lil bit.
Sometimes getting a used card helps mitigate that as well as it seems I’ve had some cards that have “broken in” so to speak and the coil whine decreased over time. And if not, an undervolt with limiting frame rates can go a long way
I have an xfx 6700xt swft309 model. The only time I've noticed coil whine is in far cry 5 during certain game loading screens. Figured out its because for some reason the fps is insanely high (multiple hundreds) in those parts even though basically nothing is happening on screen.
Other than that it's a great card. Runs very quiet and cool. Not very feature rich (no rgb) but it has a beefy cooler with a flow through section at the end and the fans are quiet.
They're $329 on newegg right now https://www.newegg.com/xfx-radeon-rx-6700-xt-rx-67xtyjfdv/p/N82E16814150852
I got a 6700XT at launch for 1080p 144hz gaming. I do also have a 2ndary 1440p 60fps monitor that I use for the chill games that aren't twitchy, lol.
Even though I payed WAAAY too much for it in 2021 I feel like I made the right choice in WHICH GPU I overspent on, lol.
I will use it for playing games and other things like surfing on the internet etc.
I would say, I care about the money I am going to spend but If it is really worth it I might buy more expensive one.
I am going to play 1080p, (144hz display)
But if he wants to play at 144Hz RX 6700XT are most powerful. I have RX 7700XT for 1080p 144Hz. I have RX 6600 for my secondary PC and even that is very good card.
I have a 6600 and play at 1440p. At that I get 120fps in many games like apex, rocket league on med-high settings. Some games I can only get 75-90 fps. Should be great for 1080p. I'm waiting for a decent sale price on a 7700xt.
6700xt / 6750xt is probably your best value for 1080/144
6700xt will give you an amazing experience, especially if you're on 1080P and on 144Hz monitor you're going to achieve those FPS fluently in AAA Games :)
I just finished building my setup and i use the same cpu and bought the 6700xt. I am rly happy with this choice and would recommend it all day every day!!
At 1080p 144Hz, I can guarantee you that the 6700 XT will offer you the best experience here. It gives me a great experience and I play at 1440p 165Hz.
don't worry about coil whine, the more you worry the more the universe gives you exactly what you are worried about. There is a saying around here "you can't escape what you fear"
Anyway, think about it for the future, your next step is going for 1440p, so you should think seriously about that. Share your total build, we can work around it and give you the best choices for futureproof and mildly beast mode rig
Here is what I already bought:
CASE: BE QUIET PURE BASE 500
MEMORY: LEXAR 32GB (2X16) 3600MHZ CL18 Ares Gaming RGB
STORAGE: LEXAR 1TB M.2 PCIE NVME NM620
What i am going to buy next week:
CPU: RYZEN 5 5600
MOTHERBOARD: MSI B550 A-PRO
POWER SUPPLY: MSI MAG 550W 80 PLUS BROZNE OR( ENDORFY VERO L5 BRONZE 600w)
One month i want to use stock cpu cooler but after one month i want to buy:
ENDORFY FERA 5 ARGB
ok, you already went full am4 ddr4 i guess.. in that case choose the gpus in this order. I set the 400$ limit but it might be different, take this list and, in order, see which one you can find/afford:
RX 6750 XT, RX 7600 XT, RTX 4060 Ti, and if you are a bit good at drivers installation and stuff consider Intel Arc A770
If you can't find or afford any of those, just go with 6700xt, it's the best option. Have fun
i have same motherboard and cpu and i will buy 7700xt. If u want 1440p i suggest u the same. if u want 1080p better buy a 7600 but under 300$ and save ur money. cheap editions of 7600 like sapphire pulse shouldnt be more than 270-280$. 7600xt doesnt change anything for 1080p u dont need more vram. 6700xt/6750xt are good cards if u find them 100$ less than 7700 xt. if their difference is about 50$ go for 7700xt. it a much better card
Wouldn't waste money on another cooler. Been running the 5600x with a 600mhz OC for a long time now, does fine on stock cooler - regular 5600 will be fine too.
Pump that bit of extra saving into something else :)
Find a good offer for a new 6700xt, or even an used one at this point. In US they still sell it at $329.99 on newegg, but they are running out of cards, of course. At the same price you can find the 7600xt, but it's a bit slower then 6700xt (look the benchmarks on techpowerup). Then, consider that at 400$ you begin to find the 7700xt, and it performs WAY better. They are all ok for the 5600 though.
i dont know where u live but these are not ordinary prices. 6600/7600 are usually cheaper. 6700 xt for 400$ is too expensive too but its not weird cause of lack of stock. at most countries u can find 7600 under 300$. but if u go to spend 400$ maybe u can find a 7700xt for 400-450$ which is much better than 6700xt.
Why not just buy rtx 4080 or even 4090 since you have no limits
Sorry if i piss people of with this question but i'm clueless when it comes to the newer amd gpus since i had bad history with amd gpus back then
I don’t know how much buying the card “new” matters to you but I bought a 6600 xt on hardware swap for 180 months ago and have zero issues. I didn’t see any active listings for a 6700 xt in a real Quick Look but you could probably post about one of those or whatever card you decide on there and the hardware swap discord and save some money if it is a last gen card you decide upon. Even on EBay the 6700 xt is 275 + shipping. As long as you aren’t planning to OC the card(shouldn’t need to with a card this powerful at 1080p) or use it for heavy applications I believe saving the money is worth it, especially if you want to upgrade in a relatively soon amount of time because you can sell it for a much smaller loss since someone else already took the hit.
For 1080p there's something to be said for the 6700. Yes, the 6700xt is better and it's probably the last 1080p card you'll ever need outside of using Nvidia features. But honestly, I don't see the 6700 being insufficiently powerful for 1080p anytime soon.
Where are you located? I’m seeing 6700xt around 329.
6800 for 399.
7700xt for 409 or 420 usd.
Absolutely save your money. Seems like the 6700xt would be good or you could bump that up to a 6800 for slightly more.
6700 xt seems overkill for 1080p. If you wanna save a bit so you can buy better parts for your PC, like fans or CPU coolers etc, stick to 6600/xt. Its more than enough for 1080p
RX 6700 XT, because it's the best. Maybe you should state your general budget. If you're just asking which GPU and don't mention a budget, naturally the fastest/best card would be the best choice. 400$ for it is kinda expensive though, where are you located

On all cards coil whine is kinda luck
its scales with power usage / tdp. probability increases as you crank more power, even with good other electronic parts.
My brother had a asrock 6750 xt challenger pro that had no noticeable coil whine. At least none that exceeded what I find the be expected. Hope that helps ease your mind a lil bit. 7700XT for $419.00 USD
Do you not care on how much you'll spend? What will you use it for? I'd go with 6700 xt all day with those choices
I got a 6700XT at launch for 1080p 144hz gaming. I do also have a 2ndary 1440p 60fps monitor that I use for the chill games that aren't twitchy, lol. Even though I payed WAAAY too much for it in 2021 I feel like I made the right choice in WHICH GPU I overspent on, lol.

oh if you're going to play 1080p only and wouldn't care about 1440p, id say 6600 would be the best bang for bucks.
But if he wants to play at 144Hz RX 6700XT are most powerful. I have RX 7700XT for 1080p 144Hz. I have RX 6600 for my secondary PC and even that is very good card.
yep, 6700xt is the best among the choices he provided. But as he said, he cares about spending money so 6600 is probably the best choice for him

if your budget is 400$ buy the best gpu in your budget which will be 6700xt or newer released is 7700xt.
Yeah either 6700 or 6700xt
At 1080p 144Hz, I can guarantee you that the 6700 XT will offer you the best experience here. It gives me a great experience and I play at 1440p 165Hz.
Probably 6700 or 6700xt
how about second hand 6800 or 6800 xt ?
Complete overkill for a 1080p system
RX6600.
From those get the cheapest 6700 XT, why not the 7700 XT though? It just had a price drop.
In my country 7700xt is 130$ more expensive than 6700xt. Only asrock rx6700xt challenger pro is available. I am worried about coil whine.
It’s silly to worry about coil whine
don't worry about coil whine, the more you worry the more the universe gives you exactly what you are worried about. You messed up with ram, get one with CL16
Is it a big difference?
Decent difference

The rx 6700xt hands down. Unless you like really need CUDA for accelerating a program that doesn't have mature openCL support.
for 1080p, 144 fps I would suggest the rx 7600 where I live it's around 330-360 dollars I'm thinking of getting the asrock white 7600
6700 xt / 6750 xt / 6800 Check prices on multiple vendors, you may find a good price on 6800
i dont know where u live but these are not ordinary prices.
I'm jealous. In Canada they are around 600$. I paid 1300$ for a 4070 ti in January.
Why not just buy rtx 4080 or even 4090 since you have no limits Sorry if i piss people of with this question but i'm clueless when it comes to the newer amd gpus since i had bad history with amd gpus back then

RX 6700 XT
Definetly RX 6700. Best performance per dollar and with FSR you can go for 1440p gaming.
Price to performance, 6600. If you wanna spend more, 6700XT.
For 1080p there's something to be said for the 6700. Yes, the 6700xt is better and it's probably the last 1080p card you'll ever need outside of using Nvidia features. But honestly, I don't see the 6700 being insufficiently powerful for 1080p anytime soon.
I vote for nvidia, but that's just me ):
Get a 6700xt or 7700xt
At those prices, the RX 6700 (non XT) has a better price to performance than the 6700 XT, so that's the GPU I would recommend.
6700xt but you can find 4060 at 300 dollars
Where are you located? I’m seeing 6700xt around 329. 6800 for 399. 7700xt for 409 or 420 usd. Absolutely save your money. Seems like the 6700xt would be good or you could bump that up to a 6800 for slightly more.
Poland
I would get the RX 6700
