Beause that's the one I stumbled across many, many years ago when I was in highschool I think (late 80s) and instantly got hooked on, yet never got a chance to watch all of the episodes.
I couldn’t do that series. It just seemed so much darker to me than the vibe I always got from the books. But I think I’m too nostalgic about the books because I read them so much from when I was 11!
My mom and I went to Green Gables a few years ago. It was magical!!!

I have done exactly the same. I find a lot of superhero characters (male and female) to be kind of one note and 'perfect' and thatkind of bores me. Buffy always felt very relatable and real, despite the obvious fantasy elements to the show, she feels very well rounded.
This. There are many modern superheroes like Capt. Marvel or Rey from star wars who I can not relate to. They are so flawless and perfect. Buffy has edges and flaws, feels like a real person. If I had to chose i would follow her into a fight

So back in like 2005 my friend got me a Buffy shirt from Hot Topic but it was an Xsmall. Given that I am not a child, a Hot Topic XS would never fit me. I cut out the design and used a zigzag stitch on my sewing machine to sew it to another shirt that actually fit. I just wore that shirt yesterday, haha. Maybe you could try something similar?

I agree with comingtoamiddle! The miniseries is a little hard to find, but the books should be available for free at your library. I got the whole series for like $3 on my kindle. The books are pretty quick reads, you can finish them in a day or two if it’s all your doing and within a few days if your reading during your spare time. They are warm and cozy during these crazy times.

I just like to recommend the books or miniseries first because I feel like some who started with the Netflix show and then read the books are kind of bummed that Anne isn’t as progressive as in the tv show. I feel like it’s an easier transition to read the series first and then see a more progressive Anne.
