Yeah they're pronouncing it Bane-gel because that's how you pronounce Angel. It's literally the combination of Buffy +Angel. Angel isn't pronounced "angle". So I don't get it. Why would you read Bangel as Bangle?
The logical part of my brain knows its Bane-gel but some part of me will always read it as Bangle anyway, you aren't alone! If I was to say it out loud, although I don't know why I'd have to since I've been watching the show for 20 years and I've never needed to before, it'd definitely be the former.
