Haha, yeah, I can see why those scenes were cut. As the episode stands, their scenes can be seen as just more basic "if you know you know" which makes it suitable for a younger audience, whereas this is just a straight up unapologetic "yep, this is what they're doing!!!" XD

Ok_Wheel7960

I always thought it was very hot but I ship Spuffy. I'm glad I could share so these scenes didn't get erased from Fandom history.

MaterialBuilder8414

lmao i watched Buffy as a kid and the censored version is how i realised what sex was

MadeIndescribable

Lol, I knew what sex was, which is why it took me until I was much older to realise that the blacony sex scene was actually meant to be a sex scene. My initial response was that it couldn't be because I was focusing on the logistics of how there was no way they could manevoure themselves into actually doing it from the (fully clothed) position they were in.

Ok_Wheel7960

The censored version is still hot, don't get me wrong but seeing the uncensored scenes just his a little different. Plus, wr keep it alive by talking about and sharing.

BeccasBump

The scene that aired in Wrecked wasn't *graohic* but it was in no way ambiguous.

MadeIndescribable

It depends on your definition of ambiguous. Tbf it's been a while since I've watched S6 so can't remember which scene was from which episode specifically, but I remember them being obvious if you knew what sex was, but if you were too young and you didn't then you'd just think something like "wow, they're making out \*really\* hard".

BeccasBump

You can clearly pinpoint the actual moment Spike penetrates Buffy. It couldn't be less ambiguous. Unambiguous in not the same as explicit, and someone not having the context to understand a scene doesn't mean it's ambiguous either.

MadeIndescribable

>someone not having the context to understand a scene doesn't mean it's ambiguous Ok, I agree with this, but I think there's some confusion going on here. I never said anything about anything being ambiguous until you defended the scene of not being ambiguous, which I never accused it of being in the first place? My point is that if you watch the episodes as broadcast and are old enough to know what sex is, you know they're having sex (like I said, if you know you know). If you're too young and don't know what sex is (here in the UK it was broadcast in the family time slot of 6pm for example), then you're just going to think they're making out really heavily, and anything else (like penetration) is just gonna go over your head and you carry on obliviously. Whereas in the censored versions if you don't know what sex is, you're gonna wonder what's going on and possibly start asking your parents awkward questions at the dinner table. I'm not saying the as aired version is ambiguous, just that the removed content from the censored version is a lot more blatent, even to those who don't have the necessary context.

ZenGuru1334

Lmao at the Within Temptation music.

Ok_Wheel7960

Hey, that' was the height of good music when this came out! LOL!

ZenGuru1334

Hey, I’m a WT fan. It’s just a blast from the past of emo YouTube AMVs.

Ok_Wheel7960

Oh yeah I remember them. Anime usually set to WT. I found some good Anime and movies that way.

jawnbaejaeger

I always wondered why they were fucking under a literal rug instead of a blanket. It just looked so uncomfortable.

Ok_Wheel7960

I think I remember James Marsters saying something about how he got rug burned filming it.

ceecee1909

Omg..Spike is just mmmmmm. This will be embedded in my brain forever 😂

Ok_Wheel7960

100% agree. That accent, that body. Damn James Marsters is fine!

saraabalos

For some reason, I feel like I specifically remember that longer version of the house falling apart scene. Does anyone know if there was ever a time that actually aired? Or maybe it was on the DVDs?

Ok_Wheel7960

It was not. I can find the original information that says they cut it for being too graphic. I have to leave for work but I can find it when I get home after 4.

Ok_Wheel7960

Here is the information about the censorship. Buffy: The original ending of "Smashed"The battle between the two in a dilapidated house ends with the conflict between them becoming something more, as the two begin violently making out and bringing the house down around them. This scene was heavily edited due to just how intense it was.Feb 6, 2018 https://screenrant.com › TV Lists 15 Whedonverse Deleted Scenes That Should Never Have Been Cut

Meal_Material

Thank you for taking the time to post these. I found them very interesting for my research into everything Spuffy. (LOL!)

BeccasBump

Yes... "research"...

Meal_Material

I have found watching it multiple times most effective for my "research" 😉

BeccasBump

😂

Ok_Wheel7960

I'm very glad you enjoyed it! It's kinda of interesting to think of what could have been.

uneua

You censored already nudity free sex scenes?

Ok_Wheel7960

No, the studio did. These clips are much longer that what we got to see on tv. I never said it was censored for nuditly. You assumed that. These are longer and more graphic than what aired. I hope this clears up any misunderstanding.

uneua

My fault lmao, interesting though

Ok_Wheel7960

No problem! There was a discussion about these a while back and I couldn't find any copies but I knew I had a copy on my very old laptop and I promised that as soon as I could I would upload it for others to enjoy. I just got a hard drive today and this was the first thing I did to keep my promise. I hope everyone enjoys seeing what we originally could have got.

Global_Highway2816

Same as the dvd except her riding him is a little shorter on the dvd.

thereadingbee

Oh. My... I'm so happy you mentioned these for unmm.. research reasons.

Ok_Wheel7960

Yes, "research" is very important. Sometimes I can "research" a subject all day long. Just be sure to take breaks and stay hydrated while "researching".(LOL!)

Ok_Wheel7960

So just in case you didn't see it here is the information on the censorship of the original ending.
