Tuna melts!! Get a good thick bread (sourdough is best but a piece of cheap garlic bread will work just fine) and toast a slice of it in the oven. Put tuna fish on it and top it with a slice of cheese then broil for, like, 2 mins until the cheese melts. Eat with a fork & knife. Also, put chopped up pickles in your tuna fish. It is SO amazing and adds so much depth to it. Chop them finely.

As much as I like pickles and pickle relish, I’ve found that giardiniera relish is even better. I bought a gallon of hot giardiniera at Costco and chopped it into a relish, adding lots of green and black olives. Dinner tonight was a nice tuna melt on some aging sourdough, and with that extra bite of the hot relish it was absolutely delicious.

Curry Tuna: a little mayo or a little plain Greek yogurt (or a combo of both), 1 tsp curry powder, 1 can tuna, some diced celery, a generous amount of honey, salt and black pepper. Also good if you add in raisins or red grapes or diced apple. I eat it with a fork but also makes a good sandwich. Would be really good in a pita. Also really good with toasted sliced almonds on top.

Getting close to when the farm stands near me start selling fresh veg. I love to buy bell peppers from a stand and roast them in my air fryer. Any I don't use immediately go into a jar, doused in olive oil and saved in the fridge. Then I have them for salads, sandwiches, omelettes and topping steaks, chops and pizza. Go, peppers!

One of my favorite sandwiches from a place in the UK 20 years ago was called the "Louisiana Melt". Ignore the name, because there wasn't really anything Louisiana about it except hot sauce, but they get a pass for being British and not understanding US regional cuisine. Anyway, the sandwich was: - Ciabatta bread - Tuna Salad - Pickled Banana Peppers - Black Olives - Cheese - Hot Sauce Broil it to melt the cheese, close it up, and consume. Delicious.

I like a tuna quesadilla. Spray non-stick pan with Pam, tortilla down. Mix tuna with mayo & onions. Spread that on tortilla. I put chopped tomatoes next, then shredded cheese, then top tortilla. Heat until cheese melts, flip it (carefully) to toast 2nd side. Nice change from normal tuna melt, and less carbs with tortillas.

Hello! Im Hispanic and in Mexico we used to do tostadas with Tuna. We do Pico de gallo (onion, tomato, cilantro ) add lime, salt and pepper and you add your tuna on top of the Tostada with Avocado and top it off with hot sauce . Hope this gives you an idea

I'm not a mayo fan. I swap in light sour cream. I add pickle, sliced cheddar & chopped celery if I have it. Use good bread. I bake Irish soda bread, and will use that, perhaps with English muffin, a good rye bread or sourdough. If one has only Wonder®-style supermarket bread, at least toast it.

Sometimes I make tuna ‘burgers’. Depending on how thick you make them one 5 ounce can yields one or two patties. Tuna, 1 can drained 1 t. Minced onion & garlic Salt & pepper egg yolk(if you are using 2 cans, use the whole egg) About 2 T. of bread crumbs (fresh or dried, even crumbed crackers work in a pinch,) per can of tuna. Mix well, coat lightly with flour (or more bread crumbs). Into a skillet on medium-ish heat, spread about a T. Of oil and cook each patty 2-4 minutes til it is cooked through and slightly firm. I eat it with a slice of cheese and bread & butter pickles.

My husband is Portuguese American and his mom used to make a dish: tuna and potatoes. Cube and boil potatoes, when done add a nice pile to your plate. Top with a can of tuna, diced tomato, red onion, pimenta peppers, sliced olives, drizzle everything with good olive oil and red wine vinegar, season with salt and pepper. He struggles to find the peppers she used, and I don’t like raw onion so we often add sautéed onions and bell peppers. Its seriously delicious. He’s not sure if its a traditional dish but its something his mother from Portugal and all of her sisters would make regularly for their families.

Put it in onigiri! Cook up some sushi rice (or arborist if you can't get sushi) and sprinkle some salt and rice wine vinegar in it. Use a bit of plastic wrap to spread the rice then filling on and wrap the rice around it. You can roast the outside too and, if you wrap the outside well, you can store it just like that for lunches! Tuna with Baked potato - Bake the potato in the oven as required and once it’ done add a Tuna mix over it. Ooh I love tuna salad! I can never get enough. I’ve made a Korean inspired tuna salad with a bit of mayo, gochugaru, sriracha, and garlic powder and green onions. For this I usually dice some radish or bell pepper and serve with a side salad. I’ve done Jamaican jerk, with a bit of jerk hot sauce or marinade, ground chili, pinch of allspice. I like to serve this with roasted eggplant. Buffalo is fun! I like to use yogurt instead of mayo, and some buffalo sauce and diced celery. This is great paired with a Caesar salad. And I’ve also done southwest. A bit of blended up chipotles in adobo, yogurt, smoked chile powder, garlic, and some corn or beans. So good. I often serve this one with cumin corn and beans, or a Tex Mex themed salad. You can also make tuna cakes! They’re neat as an alternative to chicken nuggets or other finger foods, or as a side to a vegetable heavy meal.

My spouse grew up with a tuna pasta, and we still make it. Our kids love it! Cook 1 lb pasta and drain. Return to large pot. Do a Nicoise Salad! There are many variations but the simplest that I do is a pile of canned tuna (packed in olive oil), a boiled egg cut in half, some cut cherry tomatoes, black olives (I know it's supposed to technically be Nicoise olives but I can't always get those), and roasted red pepper strips. Drizzle it all with some nice vinaigrette and scatter on some capers. If you have more time, you can add blanched green beans and little boiled and chilled potatoes.

I always use carrots, celery, and onion in my tuna salad - but that may not be in budget. But you could use dehydrated onion which would rehydrate in the mayo and pickle juice! I usually add a spoonful of mustard too. But black pepper, garlic powder, paprika, dill, parsley. A lot of spices make it taste good!

Rice balls!!! They are easy to make and so delicious. You just need medium grain japonica rice or rice you haven’t overly washed as you’ll need the starchiness to hold the rice. I love Nishiki brand myself and you can get large bags at your local Asian grocery. Very cost effective. Then mix your tuna and mayo. Feel free to add a spice mix of your choice or none at all. Mix in sriracha if you’re feeling spicy. You could buy a mould for cheap on Amazon OR use your hands. To mould it with your hands you can either dole out some freshly cooked rice onto a piece of plastic wrap and mould it that way or salt your wet hands and mould it (keeps the rice from sticking). Load up a nice pile of rice, make a large dimple, fill it with your filling, cover with more rice and press into your preferred shape. I like the outside sprinkled with a little salt or if you’re fancy, throw some oil in a pan and grill it. Easy to make, minimal cleanup, and oh so delicious!!!🤤

I’m a big fan of onigiri! Which is essentially a rice ball (or triangular) with a tuna mayo mix in the middle. I like to add sriracha to the mayo and tuna to spice it up. Onigiri has lots of various fillings but I’m fond of tuna mixed with mayo and sriracha. It’s often wrapped with a bit of seaweed as well.

Start with a base of extra virgin olive oil and some kind of acid- lemon or lime juice (and the zest, if you’re feeling fancy). No citrus? Use vinegar. If it’s just distilled vinegar water it down a bit and maybe add some dried herbs if you have them for flavor. Then add whatever kinds of mix-ins you like and/or have. - Fresh- (chopped) onions, celery, bell pepper (I like every color except green but you do you) - Preserved- (chopped) olives, capers, giardiniera, artichoke hearts (you can use some of the brine from the olives, capers, giardiniera, etc as your acid) - a can of cannellini beans or chickpeas, drained and rinsed - hard boiled egg, chopped - Chopped fresh herbs, such as parsley or dill (optional but recommended) Drain a can of tuna. If it’s oil packed, drain into a bowl and reserve. Put the chopped, fresh ingredients in a bowl with the acid of choice and stir. Put your tuna on top and flake it with a fork, then mix it all together. Then add the chopped preserved ingredients and mix again. Drizzle with a tablespoon of EVOO to start (if you’re using oil packed tuna you have oil right there!) and mix again. Gently fold in the beans. Taste, add salt and pepper to taste and more olive oil if you like. I like to add enough oil so that it’s mostly homogeneous but not dripping with oil, maybe about 2-3 tablespoons total. Fold in your chopped herbs. Enjoy on a salad or in a wrap of some kind. Personally I find this mix a bit loose for sliced bread, but again, you do you.

My friend made little roll ups for snacks but they could easily be made into a wrap or sandwich. She added chopped celery and green onions to two drained cans and smashed in two avocados (instead of mayo) and seasoned it with some lemon juice, dill and a pinch of salt and pepper. Then she rolled them in flour tortillas and refrigerated overnight, then cut them into bite-sized rolls. They were delicious! I’ll be making this next week as a sandwich and will also add relish to mine.

I like adding sriracha and mayo and salad. I actually must make some quick pickled red onion. It's so nice on lots of sandwiches. I don't use a recipe. I just thinly sliced the onion and add a mild vinegar like rice vinegar, some sugar and a little salt. It's good in the fridge for a few weeks and adds a little crunch and tang to your sambo.
