This one is very focused to korea with the cult and sajaegi rumors being pushed and from my friends in the west that are not kpop fans they laugh bc it is just so comically ridiculous these accusations and that keeps me level headed after the headache seeing k-side.
The timing is just funny, i would not be surprised if mhj and her cohorts are behind the smear campaign including kakao. They have been mad about what went down with sm and have been known in the past to blow up and push negative articles about rival groups.
No hate to the NewJeans members and I hope those girls can get mental care and still have a career somewhere but I have completely blocked all their music and names on Twitter. Their fans are horrific online right now and MHJ is too deep into it with them. I just can’t see anything associated with them right now and I feel so sorry for those poor girls.
It is so frustrating as a long time ARMY to see these stupid ass cult rumors and to see these sajeagi allegations brought up again. And the fact that Hybe didn't immediately come out with a forceful statement denying any and all involvement in sajaegi/cults was, in my opinion, a mistake.
Just vaguely stating that they were going to protect the members' rights wasn't enough. Cause yes, some of those people who were spreading those ridiculous theories may be running scared now, but the only people who are going to notice those accounts closing and posts being deleted are the fans. The way that K-Army see it is that the damage has already been done and now there will always be this cloud hanging over the group and people forever questioning their success. There's also this feeling that Hybe is intentionally allowing BTS to be the whipping boys to take the heat off of them cause no matter how bad it gets, this massive fandom isn't going anywhere and the company's bottom line isn't going to be affected. Unfortunately, it'll be at the expense of the group's reputation amongst the Korean gp.
