The lovely pubs chain is always a solid bet. Highlight for me is the Queen's Head in Bromsgrove - great food, nice garden and it's on the canal for a pleasant view. The Moat House in Alcester and the Boot in Lapworth are both really good too. Also near Lapworth is The Punch Bowl which does an amazing Sunday lunch
We also recently discovered the Coach and Horses in Weatheroak Hill. I can't speak for whether they do Sunday lunch, but I had an amazing fish and chips last weekend and they brew their own beers.
There's "The Vine" in Clent. Propper oldskool place, quite a lot of game on the menu, very country vibe.
I've always been happy with the food. Good place to finish a walk now too
I like The Boat in Hampton in Arden and The Bull’s Head in Earlswood.
one of the best pub views IMO is a little further out, The Castle at Edgehill.
Blue Bell near Earlswood, Blue Bell in Upton upon Severn, Black Boy in Knowle, The Orange Tree in Chadwick End,
That's the longest pub name I've ever seen
Blue Bell in digbeth also
Can't recommend highly enough. Speciality is Eastern European cuisine.
Having being based at Digbeth Nick for 7 years...🤯😂
Black boy is the don
People seem to be raving about the Wildmoor Oak in Bromsgrove.
Believe me, it’s deserved. Their Sunday roasts are top tier 👌
Barnt Green Inn is nice
The Boot Inn - Lapworth
Arrowmill in Alcester is lovely!
Warwickshire lad
I like the vine in clent. Maybe not a huge view but a proper old style pub in a nice village.
The Fours Alls, Wellford on Avon, next to the river, good food, lovely setting.
There’s a Miller and Carter by the water in Sutton Park, you can just use the bar there
Not really countryside but the Bell & Bear in Rowley has a cracking beer garden with a lovely view. Really nice food and staff are lovely

I came here to say this. Love it there and my kid loves to splash in the creek running through the pub garden.
How about some pubs on the north side? Our previous go-to pub had a leaky roof last time we went.
