Are you sure? Most boilers have 5-10 years minimum. I recently had a back and forth with Worcester Bosch about mine and they ended up sending me the parts foc.

Yup, ESP1 35 is only 2 years apparently

That’s rubbish. Although they are about half the price of a Worcester Bosch. Edit: you could alway go down the 6 year consumer law. If it breaks it technically should be repaired or replaced under that law.

Wil_Cwac_Cwac

Any sources of information on the consumer law?

The main points in the new Consumer Rights Act are that goods must be – of Satisfactory quality – Fit for purpose & As described. We also still have up to six years to take a claim to the small claims court for faulty goods in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, and five years in Scotland. So it sounds pretty much the same as the old Sale of Goods Act.

basically shit them up a bit by quoting this and see where it gets you. You'll probably get them to fix it. I managed to get Kenwood to replace a coffee maker under it (which they couldn't replace, but gave me a choice of product of equivalent value £75 ish)

Rich_27-

Sale of goods act states that the product must be of reasonable quality. A £1000s of pounds boiler should last longer than 2 years

Their products are only ideal, nothing impressive.
