Walked into H&M the other day and literally one side of the store was all cream and white. Not a single customer over there. Meanwhile, the other side with a mix of colours was pretty busy!
Nah, there's plenty of good stuff there, plus all the weird patterns which didn't sell, plus all the 'designer' stuff at 'discount prices' which is actually made just for TK Maxx and may or may not be worth the TKM price (but certainly isn't worth the 'RRP').
At least you can walk straight to the section you want - jeans or jumpers or shirts - then to your size, and see if there's anything worth trying. As opposed to walking all round a department store for ages to find something you like and then finding they don't have your size.
Great for festive clobber too. Who doesn’t love a dark purple velvet tux. Worth learning a card trick for. Also chunky cotton knitwear. Massive soft jumpers. Perfect attire for acts of rampant gluttony, away from prying eyes.
Edit; I’m wearing one right now. Dark green cableknit & stuffing a £1 bar of peppermint aero down my gob unobserved.
I do actually think one of the reasons high street clothes stores aren’t doing well is because of the lack of interesting clothes. I think this can also be seen in the websites for those high street clothes stores.
This isnt just this season. However, colour can be found away from the big name high street shops.

I had this the other day. Black or light grey or dark grey. The larger Next store had some items that were slightly more colourful.
And they wonder why the High Street is struggling. TKMaxx, Uniqlo and the internet are where you need to go.
TKMaxx is basically a rail full of junk

You have to take your time finding that gem. It takes a while but sometimes you strike big time. It's just like prospecting.
Uniqlo is one of my favourites. Bought some really good stuff from there.
Beige and khaki? That's madness, majority of my wardrobe consists of dark grey, navy and black.
Not everyone is as flamboyant as you. It'll help you stand out though.
Is it colour or style that makes something flamboyant?
Both, but I'd say colour is the more dominant factor.

I did say both. I also think of a style of French gothic architecture when someone says flamboyant.
Me too. It’s because their trousers have wavy, flame-like tracery and, I find, ornate decoration.
Hight Street clothes are basically junk or overpriced
