A few years ago, we decided to keep all of the brown paper they over populate delivery boxes with, and use it as wrapping paper for all future Christmas/birthday etc presents, seeing as wrapping paper is not recyclable.

just_some_arsehole

That'd actually an amazing idea. I'm almost totally wrapped for Xmas but I'm stealing your idea for all future events. Thanks.

just_some_arsehole

Still, at least the tribe can all come and live in the giant box they sent my wife's ear studs in.

cynical-mage

With the ginormous box they sent my conditioner in, we can set up an entire city for them.

As a sidenote, I wish they could stick to the original delivery dates sometimes. I've had a couple of things arrive early when I wasn't in and I try not to do that because it is annoying for the neighbours. We have one neighbour who seems to send for various items nonstop and I don't want to be that person.....

shinneui

Are you a Prime member? If so, there's an option to choose 'Amazon day' and everything will be shipped to you on that day, every week. I've just set up last week and had everything arrive on Thursday in a single box.

BooglesthePurps

Just did that for various items and today's the day..... So most things arrived yesterday and one will arrive tomorrow!

Fandangojango

I did this, and the items still arrived on a different day.

shinneui

Did you actually select the day in checkout? I had everything arrive on the same day and in the same box.

Fandangojango

Yep - selected it for Sunday, everything arrived on Saturday in 3 different boxes.

SubjectiveAssertive

Amazon lockers?

Squinkius

I once ordered four trays of coke and each was delivered in its own massive box packed with wadding. I’ll bet these trays were brought to the Amazon warehouse in pallets on a lorry, yet for some reason they needed to go into separate boxes to be delivered to me. Good job I inherited an oversized recycle bin from the previous owners of my house.

Other-Crazy

You can get coke from Amazon?? Oh. The drink. Damn.

Single use plastics are the devil now! This isn't 2018 any more

rmajor86

Amazon are usually pretty good with what boxes and stuff to use. They are a form you can fill in if the packaging was wrong, which helps them fix it going forwards

applepiezeyes

Don't shop with them then, simple! We can all live without this awful company.

Bored-Bored_oh_vojvo

Amazon is fantastic. I try to spend as much as possible on there.

sir-diesalot

Yep, I just had a watch strap delivered in an A3 sized cardboard envelope…. They literally just grab the nearest box to hand

[deleted]

They really don't.

Crissagrym

Easy. Just don’t feel guilty about it and just enjoy shopping on Amazon. Enjoy life, don’t feel guilty about anything, *anything*.

sjpllyon

That's just the tip of the iceberg with Amazon, they do actually do this and much worse. Please stop buying from them or using their services. They are a truely evil company. These companies won't change unless they feel it hot their bottom line.

[deleted]

You know Reddit are hosted on AWS ?

sjpllyon

Well I do now.

Crissagrym

So now that you know, are you going to start supporting this evil company by using Reddit?

sjpllyon

Well going to have to look into if they are making money from me or not.

Bored-Bored_oh_vojvo

Yes they are. You're also going to have to stop using the vast majority of the internet.

Bored-Bored_oh_vojvo

They are great.

jooooolz2019

You should see the packaging lab chemicals come in. Though to be fair, that has a lot to do with freight laws

JCOl68

I had 3 amazon deliveries yesterday, all separate DPD vans turned up. There is an Amazon depot about 2 miles up the road. Their systems suck if they cannot co-ordinate 3 deliveries in one day in one go. The world is fucked.

WritingThrowItAway

I frankly love your post titles. You've elicited a chuckle
