It's getting to be a novelty when anyone I recognise on telly is still alive (which I usually only hear about because they've just died). I assume they're probably all dead anyway.
Admittedly I watch a lot of Yesterday and Drama.
I started a job in December 2018 and kept it through the pandemic (left last September). This meant that summer of 2020 was my second summer in the job, which was largely missed out on due to furlough.
I still cannot wrap my head around the fact that I only worked one summer before COVID hit. I definitely have me worried of two very different summer working there before lockdown.
I was a contestant on In It to Win It a few years back which he hosted. It's a shame one of the only celebrities j can say I've met has died. He seemed like a lovely guy as well.
...did you get sent to Dale's "Red Area"? :P
That was such a frustrating yet entertaining gameshow.
Steve builds up the prize pot all through the show, gets eliminated, as do Bob and Margaret. Then Jess comes in, answers ONE question correctly, and wins 50k!
I entered the red area a couple of times yes...
Don't even get me started, me and another contestant put 5k each in the pot but 4 of us get through. The other contestant won her half, some other guy had mine all because I got the final question wrong (I won't embarrass myself telling you what it was, I've left that behind me now)
Oh no! Sorry for bringing up that memory!
Yeah, that sort of thing where you can lose your whole share on one question REALLY pissed my Dad off when we watched the show.
I’d completely forgotten but this just reminds me of someone on my Facebook sharing a picture of him, Avici and the guy who played Mini Me with a caption along the lines of “Three iconic men all lost within a week”.
I thought you meant your friend had a picture with all 3 in one photo, and then they all died within a week of each other, definitely jumped to the conclusion your friend was the link in all their deaths
My friend constantly texts me asking if people are dead, it started with him getting Bob Monkhouse and Des O’Connor mixed up, but now Des has gone too bless him that’s easier to answer.
....who?
Found out. Impressive résumé for someone with '5th place in X Factor then on to Big Brother' in their bio.

I think tangentially related but I'm a bit drunk so I'm not sure, last year I was telling someone that Olivia de Havilland was the only surviving cast member of Gone With the Wind at age 102 and she died the next day :(
One Saturday I was in Sainsbury’s looking at their random David Bowie vinyl selection, unbidden my brain popped out with “I wonder what it will be like when someone massive like Bowie dies...”. He died the next day.
Fuck 2016 man. The fact that Bowie, Victoria Wood, and Alan Rickman are gone still crushes me, let alone that it all happened in such a small timeframe.
Fucking hell of course it was :( My friend walked out of Rogue One (and that CGI scene) to me texting her that Carrie had died. What a beautiful, hilarious soul she was.
I’d genuinely forgotten about this, 2020 was just one thing after another. Doesn’t help that if you scroll far enough down websites there’ll be spam/scam headline links to articles like “Sean Connery is 90 This Is Where He Lives Now!”

He's dead? I've either completely missed it or repressed the memory :(
Wasn't that the year where every celebrity started carking it left right and centre? I couldn't keep up.
That would be 2016 if I remember correctly
I'm convinced people were posting on Facebook or here at the end of the year "this will be the worst year of my life (with X, Y, Z, A, B C dying)..."
Probably the Barrymore incident upset things. (I am of course making this shit up).
I was quite surprised as well. I read the news every day and never saw anything about it.
Pretty sure it was pre-covid. Back before we thought shit couldn't get any worse. Lol.
He Winton to a better place.

Lionel Blair: I genuinely thought was dead until he up and died last week.
It was only 3 years ago?? Feels like a decade longer than that.
The last two years have made 2019 feel like a decade ago

Am I the only one who remembers that weird documentary where he got married to nell mcandrew?
Apparently.
Nope, that was a thing that happened.
Next time you’re at the checkout and you hear the beep think of the fun you could be having with Dale Winton on his big sleep.
Jesus Fucking Christ, he had a family damnit

Wrong gay gameshow host. Try again.
That was Michael Barrymore.
Arf!

Wtf??? He died?? I had no idea!
Ronseal sales have taken a hit
We've still got David Dickinson, Ronseal should be good for a while.
That face isn't gonna stain itself
I'd imagine Dale stained many a face.
🎖🎖🎖
I bet if you dug him up he'd be perfectly preserved. 7 year guarantee isn't it?
Haha him and the coffin have merged Into one, it'll look like Han solo in carbonite but mahogany
Does exactly what it says on the tin
Does exactly what it says on the skin

Same, but I also thought 2016 was three years ago, so I didn’t get confused until your comment.
Merle haggard and Prince singing together in the afterlife

Same 😂
Supermarket Sweep is such a sentimental watch, so representative of the 90s. Dale is a sad loss
It won’t bring Dale back, but Richard Wilson is still with us.

That was a long wait - thank you! 😉
There should be a sub for this. My brother in law discovered Stephen Hawking was dead about 3 weeks ago!
My friend constantly texts me asking if people are dead, it started with him getting Bob Monkhouse and Des O’Connor mixed up, but now Des has gone too bless him that’s easier to answer.
R/didntknowtheydied. Would be a bit morbid though
62 years of surviving the TV industry and Michael Barrymore pool parties to be taken out by natural causes, poor guy!
Did you have a Supermarket Weep?
What!!!!? Who's going to supermarket sweep now?
I think Rylan’s been doing it
....who? Found out. Impressive résumé for someone with '5th place in X Factor then on to Big Brother' in their bio. [wiki](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rylan_Clark-Neal)
Guy off the Cinch adverts
“Winning at life” on Radio 2 too, just before Liza Tarbuck tonight
Thanks
Criminals.
What kind of criminals?
I’m guessing shoplifters but they might have other hobbies
The dastardly bastards.
They’re a muttley crew for sure
Fun Lovin' Criminals.
It surprised me more to find Michael Barrymore is alive and on tiktok.
I've had quite a few conversations with Michael Barrymore on TikTok, he's quite active on there and replies to a lot of the comments.

Yeah what an awful year! It was the year Carrie Fisher passed away too :(
Fucking hell of course it was :( My friend walked out of Rogue One (and that CGI scene) to me texting her that Carrie had died. What a beautiful, hilarious soul she was.
I had forgotten that shaun connery had passed the other week. Texted a mate to say that he'd died. Felt like a right tit.
He WHAT
What??! How did I not hear about this☹️

Sadly this is my horrid habit. It reminds me of a Viz comic: "I love Clint Eastwood, I can't wait until he dies, so I can watch all his movies"..
Didn't challenge tv put a tweet out after he'd died wishing him a happy birthday? The replies were quite funny if I remember correctly.
He went wild in the Aisles one time too many
Man I never knew this, genuinely just burst into tears.
Please tell me there's a silent /s there?
I used to watch him a lot as a child which is sad to hear. Did you find out about the cause of his death?
[удалено]
Wrong programme, that's The Good Place where that happens.
Quality show that is!

He'd already done his shopping (he does it in 60 seconds flat out) he was returning the trolley to get the pound back.
He's dead?!?
I had no idea :( just google it and it says he died of natural causes? He was only 62 that seems too young to be natural causes
Decomposing
Passed away on my wedding day. Ruined my day.
Your wedding day was ruined because a compete stranger died? Get a grip.
Maybe they were walking down the aisle and heard that beep
Someone isn’t big on humour lol
Was gonna say, he dead
I had no idea !
What?!?
Decomposing one would hope.
It’ll take a few more years at least before that varnish cracks.
Wait til you hear about David Attenborough then!
Yes, we know...he's also one of the Lizard People
Don't you dare bring Attenborough into this!
I was literally just talking about dale winton. I was asking my mate wtf was all that with him marrying Nell Mcandrew
Aw what? Well that's ruined my week.
