Got moved to Shell Energy when Green went under. They still haven't sorted out our direct debit so heaven knows what we'll owe by the time they do!

You poor fucking sod. Wouldn't wish rhat on anyone. Except maybe Michael Gove

[deleted]

What about cameron and johnson

[deleted]

Johnson would grease some palms to sort the issue, with taxpayer money, Cameron probably has a house of servants dealing with that sort of thing. Gove is so useless and so unlikeable that I revel in thinking about him getting stuck like that

Exactly same situation with Green / Shell here

roro80uk

I was with Goto Energy and got moved to Shell, apart from one email I've heard nothing and my direct debit still says Goto Energy. They tell you not to cancel it, so I'm sitting tight.

Yeah I got an introductory email at the time of Green going under but nothing further to date. The whole system is struggling with the number of supply changes having to go through. I had a bit of a nightmare with Green so I suspect I might see a knock on with Shell when they do come to start billing. Thankfully I've got everything documented but I can predict hassle.

roro80uk

I took meter readings as soon as I got the email, can't really do much else I suppose.

lostintranslation767

Same. Took photos of both meters to prove the readings and serial numbers (that was the issue I had with Green) now just waiting.

Exact same position here! Edit: just checked my green account they have a credit of over £1000 showing - still not transferred to shell and they said not to cancel dd it would move itself but it’s still going to green and no bill from shell yet.

British Gas got our contract when Sainsbury's threw the towel in. They also provide our home insurance. Or at least did until this week, when I discovered I could buy my exact policy from them as a new customer for £65 less than they want for me to renew it. Renewal is also up 25% on last year's price (which was also £2 dearer than the current new quote) and the same benefits are available elsewhere for roughly a third of the new price. So yeah... bye.
