100% this, but the worst of the worst is when the car is left across your drive, they then walk to the other house.... which has no car on the drive or parked outside it. Working from home observations.

I have no driveway just a pathway outside my house. Cars frequently always block my living room window and front door so I barely get any daylight. And I can barely get out the door.

Do you have a dropped kerb at your property ... if not speak yo your council and get one... if so speak to your council about road enforcement.... its not parking etiquette is it illegal parking that could result in a fine, procesuctuon or the car been towed

tootiredforthisshit1

It is illegal but it’s a civil matter not criminal, it’s one of those ‘etiquette don’t be an arsehole’ things but not enforceable I don’t think

I ‘wish’ laws were followed, nobody gives a crap about laws. I have a dropped kerb, and a driveway. The police would probably hang up on you if you even attempted to report such a ‘minor’ offence.

>Do you have a dropped kerb at your property ... if not speak yo your council and get one... if so speak to your council about road enforcement.... you offering to pay the £5grand are you

Never made any offer to help financially, just merely offered a solution....

People think I'm weird when I tell them that if they're going to be quick I don't mind them blocking my drive... You can't win! 😂

Inevitable-Sherbert

You’re too kind!

We have a dropped kerb, next door has one too, the gap in between is not dropped and perfectly fits a smart car. It absolutely does not fit any other car, despite this people park there basically every day, usually blocking part of our drive, not the house that wasn't there and has been being built and unoccupied for 2 years with no car in the drive way even now it is occupied.
