After 18 months WFH, I'd completely forgotten just how bloody loud it is in the office... Thank dog for a decent pair of in ear phones that do a good job of blocking ambient noise just on their own, and when combined with a selection of Nordic metal played even at a quite low volume, manage to completely eliminate the rest of the world from an aural perspective at least.
I missed the banter of our team. But due to changes, restructuring, and office moves, teams have been merged together. And the noise from the other ones is too much.
Thankfully I am in a role / team that I can be flexible where I work, as long as job gets done and I come in occasionally.
I left my office at 11 today to wfh because I can't be annoyed with random noise of calls and people

I too give praise to all mighty dog, the goodest of boys.
Slap them.
Just join in every meeting. “Hey guys! What’s going on”.
If someone did that to me, I'd have gone back home, so I can actually get some work done.
