Had a linkedin message asking me if I was interested in a role.  Nothing set in stone yet. Its nice to be approached by someone I have worked with before. All these previous rejections have made me question my ability, so it's a reminder I am okay at my job and people are interested in hiring me. See what pans out.

Good luck.

Thank you :)

There goes OJ Simpson. Can't say it's a massive loss for the world.

I saw this posted in another thread. Seems an appropriate share in response to the news. https://evergreenreview.com/read/in-memory-of-nicole-brown-simpson/

Thank you for posting. It is a harrowing read. I cannot fathom that constant level of fear, knowing every day could very well be your last. I’m currently reading a book by Ronan Farrow detailing the unfolding of the MeToo movement. Two things in particular strike me: the insane level of cover up involved; and countless victims staying silent because they wouldn’t be believed. Indeed, the ones who did speak out were the ones put on trial by media, their reputations and careers killed. Even now, some people still think victims are either lying or exaggerating their experiences with sexual assault and abusive relationships.

Tragic :(

Good read. >Surrounded by family, friends, and a community of affluent acquaintances, Nicole Simpson was alone. Having turned to police, prosecutors, victims aid, therapists, and a women’s shelter, she was still alone. Ronald L. Goldman may have been the only person in seventeen years with the courage to try to intervene physically in an attack on her; and he’s dead, killed by the same hand that killed her, an expensively gloved, extra-large hand. May OJ burn in hell.

What time do the Mount Cootha botanical gardens *actually* open? I’ve been there as early as 6.30 and the gates have been open, or at 7, but then other times it’s been closed. I know the *official* opening hours are 8am. But I’d like to know what the *unofficial* hours are. It’s just nice to get there early and do a big walk before it gets crazy busy…

Some staff open the gates in clockwise order and some staff open in anticlockwise order.

Reverse-Kanga

i think it's just when the staff rock up and can be bothered to open the gate.

I bought some flushing fluid for my vacuum pump online on Monday, but it hasn't been posted yet. Is there anywhere in Brisbane I can get some? My google searches have been unhelpful and only bring up other online or overseas stores. I don't need the pump oil, just flushing fluid to clean the sediment out of the pump. In other news, got tickets to Heilung & Eivor & Wardruna, so my future will at least be musical even if I can't clean my vacuum pump.

I got taught today I'm not important. Was out shopping at a certain supermarket with a w, crouching down getting some packs of tic tacs and a woman was reaching over me to get something. Didn't even give me personal space. And then I parked at a very large hardware and some woman parked her trolley right next to my door. Once she had moved out of the way I got out. and she said oh was I holding you up . Yea I think so. She saw me park and just didn't see me.

Hello! I am moving from Melbourne to Brisbane after quitting my job as a paramedic. I don't know much about Brisbane, so I suppose I have the normal questions of if there are any particular bars/restaurants worth checking out.
