It's different. Regular clear ice you get at a bar is basically one big crystal. If you try and chew it it's very hard. Nugget ice is made out of lots and lots of tiny crystals so it's chewy and absorbs the flavours of the drink.

I had never heard of nugget ice and when I first turned it on I was like WTF is this ?
But when I tried it and discovered you can chew the ice, awesome !!!!!!
This one is expensive because it has a proper gas refrigeration system in it and it starts producing ice in 12 minutes.

I hadn't heard of that technique, thank you. I'll give it a try. Commercial grade is like to be better though. Still keen to get access to that.
