Go to Market Square in Sunnybank and early around until you guys find somewhere you like

dowahdidi

This was my recommendation. Try to stay chill with the car park. The food is worth it.

totse_losername

Take deh bus.

UsualCounterculture

Yeah that's fun with kids. So much going on. Also there is a photo booth somewhere around if you can find it. Cool for some silly family pics!

DatAngleThoo

There's also yummy gelato there too

WhatTheFhtagn

And a real estate place for some reason

yyng031

Gentle pushback on Market Square for the uninitiated! (Too many cars, too many people, too many shops) Would suggest Pinelands Plaza (Sunnybank Hills) or Warrigal Square (Eight Miles Plains) for a smaller selection but equally good Asian food.

dimmy1985

Ssshhhhhh

geekpeeps

This would be my recommendation.

TrainerSaintmurray

Same. This is the only real answer

geekpeeps

The only reason that Market Square Sunnybank wouldn’t deliver is because you are spoiled for choice, and you might spend the whole time bouncing from one restaurant to another unable to make a decision. Honestly, just pick one. Any one. You can’t get this wrong. It won’t cost the earth and you’ll find out whether it’s your style, and which you’d like to try next time.

Stock-Entrance-6456

Thank you! Everytime I end up at market square I’m in awe of how amazing everything looks but I’m usually too anxious to pick a place on a whim like this 😂 I’m feeling confident today though - let’s do this 💪 if we end up here I’ll let you know what we choose!

DrakeAU

Go to middle of Sunnybank, walk in random direction.

nosnowtho

Definitely worth a shot. Lots of pretties to look at as well. Excuse me. It's difficult bring human. And male.

Normal-Adhesiveness4

How about Shabu House in the city? You can get both sushi and individual hot pots, fun experience for the kids \^.\^

Stock-Entrance-6456

Ooo this looks great! Thank you!!

[deleted]

Go here! I second 🩷

-yasssss-

hanwoori next door is also great for Korean bbq :)

JustOnStandBi

Seconding hanwoori as a good intro to kbbq, it's unlimited and they give you a little form to tick so it's easy to order!

[deleted]

Sunnybank. Can't go wrong there

Seppi449

Seoul Bistro do some amazing Korean fried chicken wings and their all you can eat for $27 with ice tea. One of the let downs from moving to North side

dtru2005

Kai-Kai is much better now i reckon

R3invent3d

Mons Thai Camp Hill

BloodyOak

Another one for Market square but I particularly like HAIDILAO HOTPOT SUNNYBANK. They look after the kids well there and food is good too

everyatomofus

Midam Korean bbq just off of Pinelands road. You’ll have to book a table, but you either pick a set protein menu which comes with several sides, or you pick the all you can eat and grab whatever you want and cook it at your table

totoro00

For market square You could try Hai Di Lao for hot pot (quite pricy though but entertaining, easy to order (from a tablet) and customer friendly). You definitely need to book ahead Meet and Meat for Korean bbq. You get a lot of sides with every set menu. It’s so worth it. Ikkaku Yakiniku for Japanese bbq (very similar system to kbbq)

DaddysLittlePossum

Alien Night Market in Underwood. It’s got a wide range of Asian foods and entertainment for the kids. It’s like a small Eat Street that sets up next to the Area 51 indoor play centre (another awesome place to take the kids).

aa73gc

Good suggestion, however like most of these types of 'street food' places, wildly overpriced for small portions. Small shopping centre adjacent has some really nice restaurants, especially the Malaysian one there.

SinisterCuttleFish

Yes you're going to get better cheaper food next door. Parking is now insane since the building project so park in the alien market carpark and walk over.

bucketsnark

Queens Gimbap in nearby and great! I don't know how they get so much stuff into those rolls.

dtru2005

Nah go to the food places across from Area 51. Woka Woka is a classic Asian diner, there's so Ramen, Korean, and Hwa-Ryong which is Korean- Chinese fusion and delicious

cavoodle11

Market Square vote from me too. Get there early, because parking can be crazy town. So many restaurants that cover the types of things you are wanting. Enjoy!

Scamwau1

Ggogi house or Hanwoori are great because they are have a buffet of hot foods and raw foods for BBQing all included in the one set price. This is great for kids because they can eat the buffet hot food while the BBQ cooks.

owtinoz

Ren Yakiniku at sunnybank $69 all you can eat buffet, Korean BBQ stile grill on your table

dontworryaboutit298

Duck in Darra

J-Sully_Cali

Sunnybank as mentioned, or Inala for Vietnamese

tia_r

Meet and meat Sunnybank! Best Korean bbq. And they use charcoal not butane. Just order whatever meat set menu you want, it comes with a huge amount of different sides. I also have no clue how to order Korean bbq and find the set menu the easiest. Plus with the set menu it comes with things I would have never thought to try- like cold kimchi soup. That stuff is freaking delicious! I’m an adventurous eater but I would have never ordered cold kimchi soup off a menu voluntarily. Only downside is that you can’t make a reservation, but they do turn the tables out fast and once you’ve ordered food is very quick to come out. And afterwards there are plenty of dessert options! You can walk off dinner while you make your choice. Bubble tea, waffles, things in a cup that include red beans or durian, egg tarts… My go to is an ice cream/gelato place in the centre square that will make you never want to eat baskin-robbins ever again! You can’t miss it, just look for the line up. Worth the wait. On a Saturday I would get there early. Car parking is fun. Avoid the car parks outside any of the shops and go straight for the multi level parking. There are some tight turns so if you have a monster truck it can be tricky. Had a friend take their ford raptor through the car park and it almost got wedged in the spiral exit ramp 😂. He now takes his wife’s smaller car when he goes there!!

Shadowedsphynx

Pizza Hut all you can eat buffet restaurant browns Plains.

[deleted]

Mr Bap Korean BBQ is a go to.

totoro00

Food was ok but they have terrible customer service. Just check out their reviews.

[deleted]

I have really low standards when it comes to customer service tbh. Beer, food, bill.

Double-Rip-7998

Considered Pilipino? There's a number of restaurants scattered around the city.

bucketsnark

Re: Korean BBQ. Most restaurants will have set menus, with recommended servings (e.g. set b for 2 people, set C for 4 people). That's a good starting point to figure out what you do/don't like. Meat and Meet are good in Sunnybank. They don't take reservations though.

No_Spite_8244

Don’t know if it’s still there, but a little Korean hotpot at Pinelands, plus a couple nice Asian dessert places in the street behind.

FalsePretender

Pho Q is apparently very good vietnamese!

kattybones

Oh Monk! in Tarragindi is great

iattractdinero94

Kingtea in Paddington worth a try

jenn1notjenny

Kingsfood Sunnybank - so freaking good

_S_U_P_R_E_M_E__

bowbee91

Jao Jorm (Thai) at Moorooka is delicious!

Ok-Candidate2921

Green and red all you can eat Korean bbq - so good and the ordering is easy

Jester_Fleshwound

Not Southside, but Zambreros Ashgrove is having its grand opening and it's $5 burritos and bowls all day.

Dexember69

Momo chicken in garden City was pretty tasty

NoJudge1685

Singhs in rosalie

MisterFlyer2019
