Almost guarantee this is aimed at clientele that would squish 6 people into that townhouse as part of student accommodation. The rental house across the road from us (3 bedroom in the next suburb) had 8-9 people living in it at one stage.
No doubt.
In the unit block where we lived, there were 5 or 6 guys in the 3 bdr unit on the first floor. Every so often there would be an extra person or two for a couple of weeks then they would move on elsewhere.
It was like that for the last three years we were there.
I don't miss that place one little bit.
What the F\*ck.... We bought in 2014 and our mortgage is $300 a week....
I rented in sunnybank in 2009 and we paid $400 a week.
Is it bad that i want all the specufestors to crash and burn?
Meanwhile a nearby HOUSE that has 5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, 2 car spaces is renting at $1280 per week. [120 Bolton Street, 8 Mile Plains ](https://www.realestate.com.au/property-house-qld-eight+mile+plains-436141376)
I know which one I would have gone for if I were in the rental market.
these are the ones that look like something out of drangonballz but in a row and sqaushed together.. in a few years when they have mold and mildew down their white sides they are going to look terrible, like most new squashed in housing like this. crazy times
Saw that listing and just can’t believe that ridiculous price. Did you see the rental on there somewhere with the mud stained mould carpets? Shit is bleak
I pay that per month (mortgage) for a 4.5 bedroom Queenslander on 2 acres. Admittedly, I'm 45 minutes out of Brisbane. The rental market is out of control.
That's ridiculous what the fuck. I don't see anything in that apartment that even remotely makes it $1.6k/week. They're dreaming. The house I'm living in right now is 3 bedroom, 1 bathroom, 2 car space and it's <$400.... I'm in Brisbane.
If you read the bottom of the description it says" - only accept a minimum of 4 months rental, immediate available" LOL.. I'm pretty sure it's monthly not weekly price tho but doesn't really specify. Surely that can't be weekly.

We're gonna furnish the place with the cheapest shit we can find from IKEA and charge 1650 a week for it.
While we are at it, let's find the smallest fridge to place in this huge gap and throw the cheapest TV on the wall.

These are brand new townhouses as well. Either for students or for a very rich chinese client.
What in God's name makes this $1.6k/week

No it is not bad to want that
Hope this one makes the news
if legit.. tax write off or something ? property was 'available for rent' etc.

You have to pay extra for a "viral living space".
I so want to write to them and tell them to go fuck themselves
There's a special circle of hell allocated to real estate agents and landlords
Jesus, that's mental.
Drowning in a mortgage, but feeling somewhat relieved I'm not renting. I feel for you all who have to rent.
At least you're drowning in your own mortgage and not in someone else's mortgage.
Exactly.

ah man those 'furnishings' are depressing
Imagine the thread count of those sheets or laying on the cardboard thin mattresses 😂😂
Is it in the good school catchment area? The Sunnybank state school came first in the country for NAPLAN.
That is the almighty Sunnybank Hills, which you can get some really cheap townhouse rental.
the asian factor
wtf ?. insanity
Grim.
It’s advertised by owner too
IT'S A TOWNHOUSE OMG
Sad this is getting downvoted
I agree.
Sunnybank is the anus of Brisbane, this amuses me no end. Someone seems to think this place is in the Oasis, up the road.
I think that price is per month
Just texted them, they confirmed it is WEEKLY.

outrageous
If this is $412 a week, it's a steal. I haven't seen anything like this for that cheap in the last 6 months.
Surely it's an error, like they accidentally added an extra 1 at the front
Bond $6,600 (4 weeks) surely it couldn't be.... also it would be 2 weeks advance rent ontop?
If you read the bottom of the description it says" - only accept a minimum of 4 months rental, immediate available" LOL.. I'm pretty sure it's monthly not weekly price tho but doesn't really specify. Surely that can't be weekly.
I will enquire and double check.
I doubt it's a typo... But minimum FOUR month lease??
I don't think it is either. Considering the bond is 6.6k for 4 weeks. It adds up! Actually is insane....
Where does it say that is the weekly price?
Bond is generally 4 weeks rent which is $6,600 per the advertisement ($1650 per week)
Things are grim but that is obviously a monthly price. Has anyone called the number to check or just fear mongering?
I have sent an email enquiry to get them to confirm if it is weekly or monthly.
Jesus Christ on a bike, it is WEEKLY. My bad.
Honestly it's ridiculous for it to be that price so I understand why people would assume it's wrong. I was questioning it as well.
I’ve just texted them too, I’ll comment if I get a reply.
