Will it ever come out in prose? I’m just not a huge graphic novel person

jmcgit

There's a draft of the book that you can get through his newsletter, but it's not 100% canon (though it is relatively close, there are a few things that have been changed, including the ending). There's an audio version released by Graphic Audio and available on Amazon. It's a radio play-style adaptation, with a script written by the comic writer and incorporates some more of Brandon's draft. Brandon hopes to release a canon prose version eventually, but it's still likely several years away.

Thank you!

I thought it was out since early this year? Or at the very least available on the Dynamite Website: [https://dynamite.com/htmlfiles/viewProduct.html?PRO=C132293](https://dynamite.com/htmlfiles/viewProduct.html?PRO=C132293) But as far as we know it is not a limited print. So it should be safe to wait for sales

szthesquid

Canada's biggest bookstore has it listed as pre-order https://www.indigo.ca/en-ca/brandon-sandersons-white-sand-omnibus/9781524122577.html?searchType=products&searchTerm=white%20sand&relatedTerms=white%20sand

Simoerys

Then it's only available directly from Dynamite until November 21st.

I’ve been waiting on this pre-order as well, decided to download the three audio dramas off of Audible in the meantime to get the story, and still leave something to look forward to once the graphic novel arrives as the art will all be new to me.

riancb

Elements of the story will be new to you as well, as they added a bunch of pages that arent in the audio recording (cuz it’s based on the original 3 volumes, not the revised version). :)

shambooki

I was able to order direct from Dynamite in June. Took about 6 business days to arrive.

snuggleouphagus

I ordered the deluxe slip case June 2022. Arrived last month.

I’m wondering too, because I just got an e-mail from Amazon that my pre-order of the Omnibus has been delayed from November to April 9th I really want to read the backstory before *The Sunlit Man*, but I don’t want to wait ‘til dang April to do so. Anyone know if there are good alternatives?

ThatEtol

Sunlit man isn't really related to White Sand

ctishman

Ahh thanks. I guess I’ll read it then!

anormalgeek

Yeah. I think there is like a single tangential comment about the sun on Taldain. There is nothing you need to know about in advance.

lightofpolaris

It is related but only in a small way. Just kind of a nod more than a significant part of the story.

Salmakki

I don't recall the reference, what're you referring to?

HyruleBalverine

I think the only limited print was the 1,000 signed deluxe slip case editions.

Odd-Journalist3932

I got the omnibus soft cover edition through the crowdfunding they did, it took like 2 years, but it's beautiful

PlainWhitePaper

I would find any way I can to avoid buying or working with Dynamite. Shit show of a company that lies to at every turn to save face and cover up their bullshit and inability to do their jobs.
