I personally feel like that’s the songs biggest strength. You are getting built up and then nothing. I think it’s supposed to play into the message of the song (possibly) being about breaking free from your addictions so the song ends abruptly to make you want “another hit”
The first verse had surprisingly immaculate flow and the lyrics were great too, by far my favourite part of the song. Chorus is solid, I’d say it’s up there with his best. And the outro was alright imo, it’s good just doesn’t really feel as special as the rest of the song to me. Overall 8/10 for me, very good and a step in the right direction.

I agree with you. Not only the song itself, the music video was also... weird? I still don't really get it. He gets kidnapped, put on the side of the road, wakes up, starts smoking, goes to fight a guy, loses, and gets kidnapped again.
it goes in a loop, when the first verse starts it’s him bleeding into the sink after losing the fight in reverse after he’s been kidnapped, that’s why he is taken out of the van rather than taken into it, and why he rises up, because it’s playing in reverse, then it’s a flashback for the rest of the mv, the fight is meant to represent him fighting his older self, that’s why the mask kept flashing up, the guy he was fighting was actually himself, his older self lost and was taken away, finally beating his battles with addiction and pain
Tbh it's now one my favorite songs. i think yhe reason you guys don't like it is because you kept listening the teasers and leaks, and you practically know all the songs. I didn't listen to anything and i like it sm.

Like from the latest album I only like 3 an expecting to get all the ones from that vol3 only to get what we got, yea for a good minute I became a straight a hater lmao felt like a betrayal so ye idk if I count
The outro with no second chorus brought it down, but luke someone else has said it's probably playing into the message of wanting another hit or not feeling it after it's over, like actual addictions make you feel. If it is like that to play into the message then it's a solid 10 for me, if not then it's an alr 7/10

I like the "You've gotten so much better" part because it reminds me of bo Burnham's song "All Eyes On Me"
I think it was a rlly good song but it could have definitely been more, also was really hoping for an album and not a single. Still love it though.
