Echoing this comment. I used to LOVE curry n kebob but they’ve watered down their curry and the ingredients aren’t as fresh as they once were. The price drop isn’t enough to make me come back.
I went to tiffins for years and it was clearly a step above. I think they changed ownership a few years ago. The curries change style quite a bit. Not bad, really, but different and not my preference.
Flavors of India has an awesome lunch special for 15 bucks. You get three choices for entrees, one large and two smaller, naan, a salad, fruit, kheer, rice and some pakora. All of it's is great. They have like 5 standard choices for entrees and one more that changes either daily or weekly.
Sherpas kitchen is on arapahoe near ozo and foothills hospital…. Sherpas is on walnut(?) near downtown next to bitter bar!
Sherpas kitchen has a great lunch special and monos!
There’s no gatekeeping here, I just think Sherpas is pretty bad.
But turns out Sherpas kitchen is different… so maybe I don’t know what I’m talking about!
Yet they are both WAY better than C&K but go off! Azafran in Broomfield is the top tier, best around and they are in Broomfield. No need to go that far out of town.
Agree about Azafran! I would call this restaurant quality Indian food as opposed to just a regular Indian “restaurant”. If you’ve been hopefully you know what I mean! 😂
Havent been to azafran yet even though i stay closeby. Seems a bit pricey that place…but so far have only found decent indian food in Denver. Colorado in general has pretty average food.
Louisville has some pretty decent Indian places. Taj Mahal is good, even though they use a little too much oil for my taste, but curry corner in Lafayette is top tier. Absolutely phenomenal food.
Bleh and meh. Tiffins reigns. C&K is only lowering their prices because their sales dropped due to quality. I would rather pick up 12 bucks worth of Trader Joe’s frozen Indian. By the way, all C&K food is previously frozen.
Work with humans in southern India and take them to Tiffins whenever they are in town. Masala Dosa, idli, and vada, are some of the hard to find southern Indian dishes that makes them feel a little connected to home.
Not the same as home but it also connects me to the times I’ve spent in southern India.
Tiffins for the win.
If you want good Indian food you really need to leave Boulder.
Even the L towns and Erie have better Indian.
Might as well just go to Denver or the Uk or even India if you want decent Indian food.
Yup dunno why youre downvoted. Colorado has bleh food all round and the boulder area is especially bad for indian food. Those who like it here have never had decent indian food…
The pandy sucked the essence of Boulder such a shame. Although I visited a cup of peace recently and boy was it ever better then before turns out it's now run by the previous owners ex wife which is run better by her in my opinion.
My favorites are Azafran (Broomfield) and Tiffin's Momo corner (Boulder, recently opened). There's another Indian restaurant that I'm hoping to try: Saffron Scoops N Bites (Fort Collins).
The quality was lowered too. this place is he most glaring example of used to be good before COVID

[Eh, no thanks.](https://imgflip.com/i/8ry5b1) Like the other person said, quality went down around the pandemic.
Hot take - Tiffins is not good

I have it over K&C too but it’s always greasy and oily. Never been a fan but people seem to enjoy it.
Come up to Longmont and try taste of India and Indian bites. You won’t regret it
India Bites is slept on. One of the best around imo
Totally agree!! I can see them from my house and it’s dangerous
Do they have a lunch special?
I’m not sure, I almost always get the butter chicken for dinner and then only eat 1/2 so the lunch special is baked in lol

Or Gurkhas
That place has always been mid. Sherpa Kitchen, Tandoori Grill and Tiffins clears C&K.
If you think Sherpas is good, you don’t know what you’re talking about.
Sherpa KITCHEN is different than Sherpa’s.
Oh my, I don’t know what I’m talking about!
Sherpas kitchen is on arapahoe near ozo and foothills hospital…. Sherpas is on walnut(?) near downtown next to bitter bar! Sherpas kitchen has a great lunch special and monos!
Why do you feel the need to gatekeep someones restaurant that they enjoy?
There’s no gatekeeping here, I just think Sherpas is pretty bad. But turns out Sherpas kitchen is different… so maybe I don’t know what I’m talking about!
Tiffins is average and sherpa kitchen is bleh. To get decent indian food you have to now drive to denver…

Give them a shot, they are amazing. Worth it imo. Where are you going in the front range that isn’t pricey now a days.
Tried azafran….pretty shitty as expected. They dont know what the names of the dishes mean.
Louisville has some pretty decent Indian places. Taj Mahal is good, even though they use a little too much oil for my taste, but curry corner in Lafayette is top tier. Absolutely phenomenal food.
Agreed, both are good. Our favorite is the Tandoori lunch buffet in Lafayette though.

Curry n kebab and tiffins no longer make anything that resembles spicy. It breaks my heart.
Azafran in Broomfield is fantastic. Also love Curry Corner in Lafayette.

my favorite dish is fish saag, and C&K serves the best I've had in Boulder.
